Your channel is actually quite appealing and witty. I think honesty is an undervalued currency.

In a world of lies speaking the truth is a courageous act.

Hey D, just wanted to thank you for putting your thoughts out here. Your videos have helped me so much dealing with my own issues. They have expanded my perspective on a lot of subject matters, they brought on a sense of community through mutual belief and similar feelings, and I believe I have been a little better of a person because of them. I appreciate you, and recognize the struggles you've been through and admire how you''ve kept your integrity and didnt let the bad things taint your spirit. Keep being the good person you are. Your uncle would be proud, your kids will definitely be proud once they are old enough to understand, and someday soon I believe you'll be able have more time and peace to just sit in a porch and watch the rainy day without worries.

Hi David. It’s nice to hear you speak in a delighted tone with British accent. I remember you’re a Californian man living in the Midwest, so when you speak in British accent, you put a smile on my face. Bet you would speak with a Midwest accent in the next video.
I think, many of your subscribers are impressed by the depth of your thoughts and how well you articulate them, or can empathize your feeling. I do find your voice very soothing, particularly when you’re talking about deep philosophical topics. You might think you sound tired, but as an audience, I love the soft and firm voice with a tiny bit of sorrow. That just makes you sound sincere, humble and sophisticated. Maybe you could consider making audio books for extra cash some day.
Keep up the good work. Hugs ❤

I used to feel this way. Then I decided to change by doing uncomfortable things (as opposed to comfortable). Now I have a wife and a kid, I'm doing a job that I enjoy and in which I feel fulfilled. That's the trick. Don't get comfortable. If you feel too comfortable then find a way to break that comfort.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but you kind of come off as the type of guy who is too smart for his own good. Many great philosophers were deeply unhappy. I can very much relate to overthinking life in a way that paralyzes me from making genuine connections with people etc.

i kinda thought you were a skit channel cause you explain things so well and if you pushed the chair to one side and the room opened up to a huge mansion and you was an actual youtube advert selling something & just reeled me in to keep watching i wouldn't have been surprised ;)
