damn how he built this colorful conversation when he was a kid is amazing
Heard of editing?
@@z0uLessNo shit genius.... he is talking about the idea to make such video
@@tallurirahul5077 So the idea to make a conversation with himself was about making a conversation with himself, not a coloful one at that. The color came from the editing of an adult. He was not doing something impressive as a kid ... the only difference was that he was doing something, which falls into this work or be damned prison we are all captured in -- we dont really speculate on what we actually are working on, and those who seriously think about it gets banished. This is the same mechanism as the one that will bring on more automation in the sphere of thinking. If you cant see the difference in the line of thinking between an adult and a child, you wont be able to distinguish between text written by AI and a human author either.
@@z0uLess🤓🤓 + im not readin allat
no but seriously its impressive how he even imagined a conversation actually going and making the footage for it too. He couldnt have pulled this off 20 years later if he hadnt had those parts where his kid self "answers"
@@payayaaexactly. All the editing in the world wouldn’t mean anything if his kid self hadn’t provided the material.
For those who didn’t understand the “don’t blink” joke, there’s an episode in doctor who where the doctor is talking to survivors from tapes he left long ago and he instructs them not to blink through these tapes, it was just a reference that was very situational to what was going on.
Ooh thanks for the insight, great reference now that you mention it.
@@ramens you can even watch the episode if you’re interested, you don’t need much prior knowledge of doctor who for it and it’s very self contained.

Love that episode so trippy how the tapes help the woman help them

The fact that this kid scripted his 32 year old self's act and this whole conversation scares me
Nah I think it's sick he had that intelligence at that age lmao
Hes to dangerous to be left alive
Exactly, I was thinking the same...
He understood the transcendence of time with media and exploited it. Most of us are very capable at young ages but its within our environments that hinder or limit our potential be it shaming within the house or elsewhere. Mediocrity is often taught because its "normal".

I love it, it's one of the coolest videos I've seen on the internet, I laughed a lot until a part of it touched my heart, your child version asking your adult self if you were still drawing and you answering that you weren't anymore.... It's like my little girl from the past talking to me and asking me why I didn't follow my dream (I wanted to be an animator too). That part made me cry...🥺 Thank you for this.
I was 9 years old when the Internet started to take off in 1995 - I remember that I always had to ask my parents to log in on the Internet for me, and it was kinda slow and really desolate compared to today, and it always blocked the phone lines, lol. Regardless, I could tell already back then that it was really addictive, since it did let me search for a lot of different information.

you have something so, so valuable in this. what i would give to hear about what i was doing, what neat thing had just happened to me, something new i learned, a new song i liked even just 11 years ago when your own special time capsule was complete...a fresh sophomore in highschool, discovering music and art, expanding my universe beyond the 200 pop town i lived in, up in the smokeys. i probably have a deeply unhealthy relationship with nostalgia (especially in regards to the internet), but it is genuinely so warming to find someone else being able to reach out and touch across time like this...oh so valuable. it's hard to put in to words all the strong feelings this brought up for me. i've probably scrubbed the wayback archive of my own tumblr for a hundred total hours by now heh, i have thumbdrive backups i'll hang on to for the rest of my life, it's all i can do to preserve those previous chapters of my being. 11/10, sobbed. thank you (both of you!) for giving this to the world💜💜

Sh*t doesn’t have any power
This really is so awesome, so fantastically imagined by both the younger and older him. And so well put together. Gotta say, I'd love to see the original 12 year video by itself as it was. Presumably, 12 yr old him was smart enough to just imagine various possible variations of conversation, smart enough to assume older him would still have similar interests and concerns, like the pets. So rather than 12 year old Jeremiah actually scripting it, he just recorded multiple takes with all kinds of reactions, all kinds of asking questions and general non-specific reactions to potential questions, 'conversational' tropes in general and personal references to give his older self the widest range of flexible stuff to work with. Envisioning what editing such a future 'conversation' might require from a realism/film-making point of view...that by itself really clever and forward thinking.
This is the original tape: th-cam.com/video/f-I7Bro5Dt8/w-d-xo.html
@@ContentWithJeremiah oh cool thanks! only 6 and a half minutes wow. Fascinating watching how at first you're all over the shop but then can see you gradually imagining what would be helpful to create a future 'messing with time' interview. Pausing more and more to think about it. Basically evolving the idea and more and more creating 'interactions' right there on camera, until you come up with the pretty inspired idea of passing a toy through the wormhole. Great final editing with only that much young you material.
I always come back to this video every once in awhile because it's videos like this that remind me what the Internet was made for. Sharing your experiences with the world.
Now THIS is originality in content, it's a masterclass, I loved it well done !
