    To reduce the residue problem, try spraying from much farther away (I spray about 18 inches away from my product...working inside a large cardboard box helps with the overspray). You also want to use the least amount of spray possible because it will block the ink from soaking into the product if you use too much (which might be why your coasters turned out faded looking?).

    • @AngieHolden

      I would say that is definitely true! I am giving up on the spray for now though.

    I love these comparison videos you do! I use the Elmer's Glue Spray adhesive & it hasn't left any stickiness after pressing.

    I definitely think the spray takes away a bit of the ink. The one with the tape definitely looks more bold.

    Thank you very much for this comparison. I've been wondering about the spray adhesives out there. It's good to know that they leave a little residue in case I sell a shirt. I don't want to send a shirt to someone that's sticky. 😁😁😁 I have noticed that after I press a shirt and it has tape lines, if I remove the sublimation paper and tape and press again for about 5-10 seconds the lines disappear most of the time. Thank you so much for this video and all your videos!! I have learned so much from you and whenever anyone asks for help on something, I'm always referring them to your channel and specific videos!!! Your the best out there and I so appreciate all you do for us!!

    Interesting results. Watching other videos suggest not spraying directly but rather spray across and let the mist settle on the print. Provides sufficient adhesion without the remaining tacky surface after heat pressing.

    We tried the Eco Mist. Total disaster, came out in HUGE clumps no matter what we tried. Ended up going with the Scotch Brand Repositionable Spray Mount from our local Michaels store instead, and now it's our go-to. We use it to hold huge sub paper sheets onto neck gaiters for heat pressing. :)

    Another video recommends iCraft Pixie Spray. I have little .5” or 12mm round earring bezels that come with tiny discs that your image gets sublimated on. I spent time laying out a full page of 70 images. (10x 7)
    She used that spray and I found your video to compare and research. I think spraying an adhesive will be much more manageable than trying to tape down a full page of half inch circles. Wish me luck.
    Thanks for your experiment.

    When doing the sock, why not just fold over to cover both sides at once instead of cutting in half? Then just press both sides. You will not have a noticeable seam then.

    • @AngieHolden
      @AngieHolden  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yep you can with the spray! I was testing two different sprays so I couldn't really do that. Then with tape you have to press one sign then the other.
