Before we buy any supplies, we check on Angie's site first to get her recommendation. We thought we would trip Hiipoo sublimation paper to go with the Hiipoo sublimation ink recommended. We definitely prefer the A-Sub paper over the Hiipoo sublimation paper. The issue is when trying to trim the paper. Using the Circuit trimmer, the Hiipoo sublimation paper will "catch" and not cut a clean line. The A-Sub paper cuts well with the trimmer every time. (Note: the blade is new too). For us, we will stick with the A-Sub paper and with any of Angie's recommendations!
I too found that using the Circuit trimmer with Laser paper (using infusible ink) also catches and does not cut a clean line, as well as the printable vinyl. Yes it has a brand new blade in it so I am not sure why it only cuts regular copy paper ok. I found my cheaper Office Depot Carl brand trimmer cuts way better.
Before I buy any supplies, I check your recommendations first. :-) I really prefer when paper is marked on the back to know which side to use. Thumbs up, just ordered the Asub. Thanks Angie! :-)

Hi I have a vivid home press 5 in 1 presser trying to print on a 100 percent polyester blanket using the A sub 125-G sublimation paper NOTHING PRINTED OFF😬
Thanks for the comparison. Is it just me, or does the DyeMaster paper look like its "unicorn" is more color-intense? I noticed it the printout and on the pressed shirt. Maybe that was just the video.... Did anyone else notice that? Thanks for the comparisons, Angie. Always informative.
We have an Epson WF 7110 with Cobra Inks & use Dyemaster as our go to sublimation paper. Colors are much more vibrant with deep rich blacks compared to all other major brands we have tested including Texprint especially on mugs. Despite the paper not having a watermarked side, you can tell from the feel & color of the paper which is the correct side to print on. Dyemaster provides just the best results we have ever gotten out of any other sublimation paper at a great price.
Can you use a low GSM for printing, there are so many different ones. Some say lower the GSM the more vibrant the colours. Do you have any advice please for mugs and tshirts thank you from the UK 😁

I would like to see you now do a comparison using specialty sub paper, like A-sub, and compare it against using regular copy paper and laser paper. I've seen others use regular copy paper and it seemed to work just as well as A-sub and is way cheaper than any of those papers used here. Thanks!!
Hi I did the sublimation with printers jack light color on a Purple tshirt and it came out very light kinda fried I'm using 50 cotton and 50 polyester what can I do
The purple is showing through your design first and altering your colors. With the 50/50 content, only 50% of your ink is bonding to the shirt. That means it will be faded.
So I have a Epson 2850 put in my sub ink and used sub a paper and printed my image, went to press a poly tote and the image did not stick :( what am I doing wrong????
The only thing it could be is that you do not have sublimation ink. Check to see if the bottles say sublimation. Was there other ink in your printer before you added sublimation? It may not be all the way out.
Thanks for this video Angie! ASub comes in 125g and 120g. I see you are using the 125g. Do you know the difference? I know 120g is thinner but curious why there are two different weights.
I could probably use a lower weight but I don't do enough sublimation printing to keep all of the weights. The difference is going to be in how color saturated your image is, the humidity at the time, and how fast your printer prints. I am finding I can use the 125 all of the time and not have issues. Which works for me. The lighter weight is probably less money as well. So, if you have prints that are not as color saturated, trying a lighter weight is not a bad idea.

Cricut Design Space has a limit on the size you can print. It has nothing to do with the image or the printer. However, I don't know what printer you have, but you need to look to see what size paper it will take. You can't print any larger than the paper size. What’s the cheapest laptop I can buy to work with this printer? I want to download photoshop and other apps to help print out pictures
I have on my list to do some research and publish something on computers. I don't have anything right now though.
Does it work with dark colors and cotton? Thats the million dollar question.

Hi what type of shirt do you use? Cotton or blend etc
For sublimation, you always use polyester. At least 70% polyester is what I recommend.
Do you know what is the difference between A-SUB 120G , 125G and 105G ?
It is supposed to be for designs with various levels of ink saturation. The higher the number the more ink.
Hi I rarely plan on using my sublimation will the ink go dry or ruin the printer if it sits. If I only use the printer 2 time a month?
I haven't experienced any drying out but I do use mine about one a week.
Ok I have my eco tank printer converted but when I go to cricut design to enlarge it wont let me get pass the height of 9.2 can u tell me why please my printer is set up for letter size like u said please help tk u
That is a Cricut settings. 6.75x9.25. You need to print from something else to get larger.
@@AngieHolden I dont understand cause I downloaded a sublimation images it was 27 x 24 I made it smaller like 10 by 11 it didn't work im new at this tk u
Cricut Design Space has a limit on the size you can print. It has nothing to do with the image or the printer. However, I don't know what printer you have, but you need to look to see what size paper it will take. You can't print any larger than the paper size. If you want to print larger than 6.75x9.25, you will need to use a program OTHER THAN design space to print with.
@@AngieHolden ok tk u I got an epson 2770 eco tank i believe it is am at work but I converted into a sublimation printer watching ur video ur awesome tk u for helping me
It looks like you can print legal sized paper max and that is 8 1/2 x 14. You would need to buy sublimation paper in that size in order to print that large and NOT use Design Space for sending your images.
Do you mind sharing what is the difference between the Asub varieties. Some say 125G and 120G
I have not ran any tests between varieties!
Angie can epson use 11x17 tia
It depends on what model you purchase. This one cannot.
@@AngieHolden I got 2760
Does anyone know the difference between printing your T-shirt with normal printing ink and printing it with special sublimation ink? Cause i wanted to buy an expensive printer to do both stickers and T-shirts printing and i can't use the special sublimation ink for The stickers and also can't afford to buy 2 printers each for the specific ink
Here is a comparison: th-cam.com/video/vo4y-g1z2HY/w-d-xo.html
Do you have to use sublimation ink or can you use the Epson ink? Also if you have Epson ink in printer how can you change it out?
You have to use sublimation ink. You would have to flush the regular ink out though.
Great video!
Have you tried the DS sublimation paper from Epson itself?
Not yet!
What do you think of the new hiippo paper?
I really like it! I used it here: th-cam.com/video/BBwtVhFPtHQ/w-d-xo.html&lc=UgyUInN9Gh4i_fVxk494AaABAg
What’s your views on using copy paper for sublimation?
I plan on doing a more detailed video but I do feel like it results in a print that is not as vibrant.
Can you use cotton T-shirts or just polyester?
Just polyester - at least 65% poly.
@@AngieHolden Thank you!
Have you tried the Hiipoo ink with the Hiipoo sublimation paper?
I have their sublimation paper here and I will be trying it on a project soon!
Great video. Very informative
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the video. I was wondering how each did after a few washings?
I didn't compare paper after washing.
@@AngieHolden thank you
Hello Angie! Did you mirror this image with a Cricut?
I just mirrored in the print settings so that every print it mirrored that I send to this printer. I forget all the time so that is easier for me.
Thank You so Much Angie
Have you tried , cosmos paper ?
No I haven't.
Thank you so much for this video much appreciated! 💓
Just wanted to ask about the quality of them after washing?
I didn't compare these shirts as far as which paper washed best.
Can you use butcher paper in place of the paper you are using? I have a ton of butcher paper.
You have to print on sublimation paper. You can use butcher paper as protection when pressing though. That works fine!
@@AngieHolden Thank you!
what printer settings do you use or is it based off the paper more
Turn off high speed printing. Turn on best quality. And pick a matte paper setting.
same results for tumblers?
I have made a ton of tumblers using a variety of papers and yes I have similar feelings there as well.
Great Video... I may try the A-Sub. With Cosmo Ink.
Go for it!
Can you use like parchment paper or does the paper serve a specific purpose?
I would use the protective paper, butcher paper, or plain copy paper.
You said make sure protective paper is ok for sublimation. I just bought a ton of butcher paper after seeing tons of videos saying that was ok to use - is it?
Yep. Butcher paper works!

Can I use the brother printer ink?
It has to be sublimation ink for doing sublimation printing. Regular ink will not work.
is hipoo highly recomended?
I have only used Hiipoo so I don't think I can weigh in either way!
