I use a line6 helix for my tone. My chain is a horizon drive into a purple revv into a greenback cab (I'll have to look later to see which one it is exactly). The horizon drive is typical tube screamer settings (tone all the way up, gain all the way down). For the Amp, I have the gain set just enough to where you get the distortion but the notes still have clarity. Too much gain and it will get flubby really fast. For the eq settings I set it up so that all the frequencies are about equal. Then I use a tilt eq to boost the highs and take out a bit of the lows. After i record the guitat I do a low cut at 60-100 to remove some of the unnecessary sounds and then I'll cut out some of the frequencies between 200 and 500(I think those frequencies cause alot of the muddy sound) and boost a bit more on the top end. hopefully, that helps.
@@necroux13 yeah im just straight up using neural dsp gojira as a daw, Nothing but my interface and some crappy presets, And im really trying to get something out of it, But im a complete nooby when it comes to guitar tones and how to dial them in for low tunings.
Dial the gain back on the amp and turn on the boost pedal with the gain at 0 and mess with the tone knob to see what sounds better. On the eq settings try lowing at 65, 250, and 500. Then boost a bit around 4k and 8k. Also messing with the mic settings can change your sound alot.
@@necroux13 yes i have, on cleans though it sounds amazing, but the second i touch anything with distortion its like a different story, I just dont know how to eq or anything like that ig
D#,A,D#,G#,C#,F,A# I tuned to F# and used a pitch shifter to drop it 3 semitones. String gauge should be 76 on the low and 11 or 12 on the high. Multiscale 27-25.5 I can give you exact numbers later but it's really whatever feels comfortable for you to play on.
