If you dig it, you should definitely check Thornhill stuff, early songs like Sunflower or Joy, or more current ones like Lily & The Moon or Where We Go When We Die. Same angelic voice with heavy riffs kind of vibe.

This is a simply beautiful song. Invent Animate has become one of my favorite bands. I got to see their brief set a few weeks ago in Houston, and these guys should have been the headliner. They mopped the floor with the other bands. Heavener was one of my top favorite albums of 2023

A lot of young men like me are pressured into suppressing emotions, being toxic towards others, and so on. For about five and a half years I have been pretty much emotionally null. The time manipulation of going back and forth really encapsulates this feeling the song gives me of being perpetually tidal locked to (a) loss. One you cant escape from. One that wont let you leave. One that you dont want to leave. Youre stuck watching as that warmth and light fades from you as you rage and struggle against the past, present, and future.
