Thanks Jack for great review. Always loved Percy Heath, Connie Kay as backup. They softened the accompanent and let the the others come forward. (note Stitt Plays Bird on Atlantic with Jim Hall it cooks!) I have that Cannonball and love it....Also agree with you Cannon at the Lighthouse is a gem! Who can deny that beautiful rhythm section!!😮

I saw that---missed that one!!! -my copy sounds ok( listened last night) .. I have a lot of tone poets but t=not this one..Discogs has a Mine-Mint for about $50-60 and I am thinking about it as I really love this recrding!--Thanks foe the comment and for listning ..and especially for telling me about the Tone Poet!--JG

Nice selection of records, Jack. That Joe Henderson at the Village Vanguard was issued as a Tone Poet. There are two records, Vol 1 and Vol 2. I got the Vol 1 on Tone Poet, but I had a European issue of Vol 2, on either French or German Blue Note, since the 1980s and the sound quality is much better than on the Vol 1 on Tone Poet, so I decided to give Vol 2 on Tone Poet a miss.
wow how did I nmiss thst one---- i jus lisened to the copy I have and its not bad. I love the trip... Joe seems to be playing a lit freeer... hes such a tasty player.
