Mandolin Orange used to be my favourite band, but now I think it's Watchhouse.
This made my day!
I've only been following mandolin orange now watch House for the last few years, however after watching numerous historical mandolin Orange TH-cam videos I have to say what makes me love mandolin Orange is their basic acoustical flavor. The watch House music appears to be more developed and has ventured away from what I thought truly set them apart. They're harmonies and lyrics are still wonderful but now I feel as if I have to listen through all the other instruments. I'm still a fan.

Every album they release falls perfectly into the season of my life. So happy to welcome my daughter this year! Makes this album so relatable, will always love this duo/band

That first tune was almost spiritual. Loved it! They have such wonderful chemistry, all of them but especially their voices. I love how they compliment and never over-sing the other. That's a tight couple

Excellent production, perfect audio, and video, no matter how professional the set performance is, without perfect audio and video we would never experience it.
I’ve been using Mandolin Or-er-Watchhouse’s recordings to fine tune my new sound system. They studio releases are perfect for that.

I don't know when it happened, but I saw them at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival, and the backing band they had then seems to be gone. so, I'm guessing new band new name.
I was lucky to see them at Ryman Auditorium in Nashville Labor Day Weekend..I took edible for first time before going into Ryman, best experience ever. Ill never forget the pure sound that was coming from their instruments. These guys are Masters of the craft..Keep it up Watchouse- your awesome and your shows are worth every penny

What is going on with you two ?
I like that you're mixing it up a bit leaving out the mando on some songs and adding guitars and other instruments. But the melancholy minimal 3-4 chord melodies are starting to sound the same and get a bit droning...that I'm guessing Martin 000/OM Emily's playing sounds great and stands out in the mix.
Something about their music speaks Colorado lol.

Even with the band, you should have kept the name Mandolin Orange. It was catchy. Still great music and chemistry. Nothing wrong with moving forward, but, "If it ain't broken, don't fix it".

I liked the name Mandolin Orange better. Watchhouse is a very weird and unfitting name.
I too loved them as Mandolin Orange, not crazy about the Watchhouse name, reminds me of Lifehouse. They sort of changed their sound too, the older stuff had a bluegrass origin, not sure on the WH sound….🤔
