27:53 can't get enough of this duo \mandolin orange\Watch house. Take this heart of gold actually inspired me,a drummer of 23 years to buy an acoustic guitar just to "fool around with" that was 1 year ago almost to the if this post. I play on average about 3 hours every single day so far , I was lucky enough to learn the basics very quickly . I'm was playing full tunes in about a week . Now like I said I was a drummer for a loooong time and I still drum . However guitar has become my lead instrument thanks to these two incredible individuals. When I finally watch a video and noticed a few times how they shared a few looks at one another ,k could see two people that were very much in love with each other and the music. It's a testament in my eyes to what it takes to make truly great music , or do whatever it is you're heart desires and to be able to turn dreams to reality. Many Thanks to Mandolin Orange /fka Watchhouse Sincerely David Cardarelli Jr. 5\25\23@2:48 am ;)
That musicianship, that voice, and that personality promise a fulfilled and fruitful future to these two people. Recently I have been listening to lots of classical music in Europe, gradually understanding why it is loved universally. But when I come back to this type of music which I call my home, my place, I still find this music fulfills me instantly and constantly. I am grateful for this beauty, this beat and this being. Its name is music.
They never cease to amaze me.... Thanks for posting. The Simon and Garfunkel of the new era. A match made from the multiverse of inspired music! And this is coming from an old 60-70's rock and roll hound. Nice to grow old and find new stuff.
I'm a connoisseur of many genres of music and I am hard pressed to find artists as genuine and talented as Emily and Andrew from Mandolin Orange (haven't yet accepted Watchhouse). Many thanks to both of them for enriching my music experience. Love these people.
Grassroots TV is a small, community access television station. We filmed this set with the help of the fine folks at Steve's Guitars in Carbondale, CO who work on an extremely tight budget themselves. Be thankful and enjoy for what it is....a stellar band playing in a small mountain town in a very small room! If you enjoy this video please subscribe to our channel. 6years ago Andrew was not as good as he is today ! LOL But Sweety could sing like an angle. Thay are one of my VERRY favorite bands to just sit and listen to. Along with the Tesky Brothers!
If you wait long enough, the good stuff comes back around. - These two are the real deal. Thanks for taking it out on the road and I'll remain hopeful of catching the show.
I've never been a big fan of the mandolin but I could listen to Andrew play it all day. He just extracts something out of it that I don't hear from most.
A small indicator for an acoustic act is how quiet the crowd is during the songs..This crowd was mesmerized!....The dose of pure beauty does the day good and thanks for the share. We are all looking forward to seeing them again in Santa Cruz next month
@@Guyote_ watch their concert in the NC governor's mansion.. he's quite hilarious about the building they are playing in and riffs with the main host lady there a bit.
You guys are soooo badass and this was the best y'all have ever played train song ( 44:30 ) you got to record it fast like that.... Pure perfection thanks for blessing me with your awesome music keep it up
I've just found out about your group two days ago and became I a BIG FAN after the first few notes YOU'RE GREAT you're both so talented and I like the humor you share thank you and I'll be listening from now on going to try and see one of your shows soon
They are a great group. I learned of them from listening to WDVX FM out of Knoxville on their online streaming. I sure want to see this group do a live show, gonna not be till sometime in 2018, unfortunately. I got the latest release--it is great but going to go back and get the rest of their previous releases--love the music they make.

I wish he was more serious when introducing his songs. It’s almost like he is embarrassed about what they are about. So he sets up the audience to trivialize them. Its to bad because they are so good and truthful.

Pretty neat to see how several of these songs' performance have changed a bit over the years!
When I think of the sound of NC, I hear this.

Yes, when a crowd is hynotised. Hynotsies (sp) is better than sleep.
