COMPLETE NOVICE here Would like your videos with triangle and circles. I don't even know how to sew but interested in learning a new creative outlet. Thanks for this video
This technique is interesting and quick. I’m not sure how to finish the very end since the loom is out of frame. Is there another video that demonstrates that step?
You sound like my mum, which makes learning this stuff a lot easier, cause my brain automatically goes into this "Oh, we know this voice, this is a nice voice, we can trust this voice" kinda mode. Also, awesome video! I really like how there's no rush to it, so soothing and nice 😊😊
This is so clear and easy to follow. I bought a pin loom that gives me a 10" square once the yarn is off the loom. I tried following the written directions which came with it and failed miserably. I'm so glad I found your tutorial.
What a lovely piece! I'm not so sure that something on the diagonal like this is exactly a "first" square to do, but I also don't yet know how to do a "straight" one. It was very confusing at first, although it became a lot more clear as you progressed. Very well-done video and instruction.
Hi I have just come across your channel I won't to learn to weave ,I could follow you as you are going slow and clearly.but what I like to know is what size and how many pin is your loom can not afford to buy but what to make diy.😊
I found using a latch hook instead of a crochet hook a lot easier, as it is impossible to loose the leading thread weaving in and out, as it is enclosed in the latch.
I have followed your very clear instructions and made my first square (very slowly) but it has turned out nothing like yours! It is very tight in the middle but loopy on the outside. Is that a tension problem?
It sounds like a tension issue. Make sure your yarn is snug around the pins as you work. Please feel free to send me a picture via DM on Instagram (The Fibre Factory UK) and I could maybe assist you more. Practise makes perfect!
I've got a loom that has slits cut into the side of the wood instead of pins, can I still follow your instructions or do i have something different from you?
Beautiful, clear and detailed video. Thanks. I have a question and a suggestion: I own a new pin loom with the nails arranged in bunches of threes, some fours, twos and one nail in the four corners. Is that pin loom suitable for the diagonal square you've shown in the video? The suggestion part is for you to use for the last rows something called a locker needle hook (I have to look up the name every time!). It is a 6 1/2" needle with a large hole on one side and a crochet type of hook on the other side. It's probably easier to use than the needle you use. (I've tried both on my pin loom. Just sayin'.
Thank you! I will have a look for the needle for sure they sound perfect. I'm not sure which loom you have but if the pins are equal I'm guessing you could use this technique, I shall find a picture of one and try and work it out! I'll come back and give you a proper answer lol!
Hi bonnie, thank you for watching. The loom i'm using is a 6" with a 1 cm pin spacing, I have used a super bulky yarn with this size and lots of thick and thin hand spun art yarns ( i think you can see those squares on the first coffee morning episode) x
The Loom I am using has a 0.5mm pin spacing. You can find them using this link x www.etsy.com/uk/listing/571478572/pin-loom-weaving-loom-pin-loom-weaving?ref=shop_home_feat_2
Life . Love . Craft Do you find that the spacing is too far apart? I’ve just created my own with 1cm apart but it’s way too far apart, so I’ve been trying to see if there are ideas out there for such loose type fabric (I usually prefer and create denser fabric so I’m at but of a loss here)... thank you!
She’s doing it wrong. What you do is made a not and put it on a corner peg. Then pull the yarn down to the next corner peg across. The do what she does
Awww poop! I shouldn't have assumed! Take a look at this video on how to make a slip knot I hope this gets you on your way! x th-cam.com/video/EjSJfsudZnE/w-d-xo.html
Very clear instructions, delivered at a perfect pace, thank you
You explain how to do this excellently. you have beatiful fingernails.

This is a lovely video. Your explanation (verbal & video) is wonderfully clear.
Now I'm looking forward to using a pin loom. Thanks for your efforts!
I loved what you made, I hope you continue.👍
Brilliant video. Clear and easy to follow with excellent commentary. Must try it on my pin loom.
Thank you very Much Jinny !
You have made this so easy to learn for a beginner like me! You are an excellent instructor and videographer!
Wow, thank you!
Who knew it was that easy! Thank you for this video!
Had one of these when I was a child, 55 yrs ago! Made pot holders with it! This one is identical to the loom I had!
Как стонок сетка рабитса стойт автомат
Guessing you may have had a potholder loom which has much thicker pegs/pins. Used to weave potholders, hot pads, etc. using sock "loopers". Fun!
Thank you for taking the time to make this video. It is perfect you explain every step clearly.

Wow great! ♡ Beginner here. Hello from Australia
Fascinating! I've never seen this type of weaving before. I love it. Thanks!

Muy bonito excelente idea. Gracias

“mistakes”
What?
I've got a loom that has slits cut into the side of the wood instead of pins, can I still follow your instructions or do i have something different from you?
Hi David, I would try it and see, the basic principle will be the same using the slits rather than pins

Great instruction. Brilliant!
You might have a Shacht Zoom Loom.
Is this loom available online ?
Well done! Thank you. Questions: What size loom are you using? Have you ever used heavier yarn?

That's really nice
Nice
In what ways such squares can be useful?
I mean, can they be joined to make any utility item?
You can make anything from Blankets to Jackets! Make squares with pure wool and felt them for beautiful coasters.
Janani Ranganathan I’m going to do this! I want to make pockets for garments that I have that are lacking them.
Saludos hermoso tejido gracias por compartir
So beautiful
It;s easy enough just kind of loosey goosey. How can I have a more solid weave?
Keep plenty of tension on your working yarn, give it a tug to keep it nice and snug
@@TheFibreFactoryUK Can I use thicker yarn?
@@rosimom yes absolutely. Experiment with different thicknesses and textures but most importantly enjoy! x
Excellent video but mame kindly make with 2 yarn colors
Very esay thanks
Nice
Ty.. I will try this
Lo lo
WOW! I WANTED to do this, but it's complicated.
I'm too dumb.
