Thank you so much for this! I’ve wanted to try weaving and the large mechanical looms are very confusing and have been searching for something simply explained and beautiful like your fabrics. Honestly, thank you! It’s exactly what I’m looking for!!!
Great video Ruby. Now I can begin using my weaving looms again. Thank you so much for this tutorial and I look forward to making some lovely items with your tutorials. Love all your videos
This is wonderful. Thanks for the clear instruction. You have broadened my horizons. I will be practicing this and then teaching it to my children. Thank you!
I had a loom like that before a friend made it I only made doilies and pot holders I was trying to get some one to make me another one, I didn't know you can make other projects. love your videos
So happy I found your videos. They are so inspiring and very clear instruction. Your woven fabrics are wonderful. Thank you for sharing these videos with us :) I can't wait to see the project instruction videos for how you are using your woven pieces. Oh I see now that you don't have many videos on making projects with the square loom. Could you make some more for sweaters or jackets or how you made the poncho? :)
Thanks for the videos. I’ve been looking for videos for these pin looms. Glad I found you. Will keep watching I hope you like company lee Colorado Springs
Awesome. You have a way of explaining things that give me confidence. I absolutely love watching your videos and you accomplish so much with a minimum of tool investment. Thank you for sharing.
oh Ruby what a great teacher you are my son has made me the one of 23cm and he is doing a 30cm and a 50cm ...please Ruby can you tell me how many nails I have to put on the 30cm and the 50cm I watch you as often as I can love your video ...thanks for teaching me and others your beautiful weaving...Jenny
Hi Jenny. the on of 30cm have 34 nails and the 50cm 54. remember you count from 1 to 34 in one row and that 34 is in the corner and is number 1 for the next row
thank you so much in getting back to me on that Ruby I cant wait to do my first blanket with that weaver have a great day god bless I'm Italian and I could understand your other video in Spanish well some I can lol
Five years later; I looked for this comment, because I’m having the same problem. I just ended up rage-quitting, because I CANNOT SEE, and the going-around-two-pegs thing doesn’t make SENSE, and I keep getting severely messed up. NONE of the other tutorials I’ve looked at have the single-line-start; they all have the large slip-knot-loop. That just sounds like tension issues to me, so I just want the single-line start.
Question: Why not just buy a square picture frame and add the nails? Question: Why diagonally? Why not vertical and horizontal? The kiddos square loom is loomed horizontally. Just asking.
You can buy it, but since the space between the nails has to be the same, it could be hard to nail all of them, but definitely you can try....and diagonal is a different technique, it is just a matter of preferences...you can do either diagonally or vert\horiz in a kiddie loom....

what do you do if your loom doesn't have a corner pin? can you still prevent a gap?
[You must have a corner ping; otherwise, you'll miss the most important row.]
Hi ruby is there more tutorials on what you made with the loom?
Your accent is beautiful.

How many nails did you use?????
Love this! Thank you!
Great video. Very helpful.

Are the looms available with the art supplies
pl show some more ponchos through knitting and weaving. I do not know croquet.
Do you know if you could put the nails closer together for thinner yarn? Also can you make it bigger than 50cm?
Yes you can make it as big as you want. But if you put the nail to close it would be a little difficult to work with.
Love it. Thank you for your explanation. How to put the square together then?
How far apart are the nails on the frame, great project going to use a picture frame, just need to know how far the nails have to be. Thanks
They are 1cm apart.
Thanks
