If I wanted to try the pattern you did before crocheting the edge on. What is the name I would have to look up? I am brand new to all this. I really love the way the green and off white colors alternate. Thanks for posting this. The single crochet edge looks great!
Hi acciotardisalohomora63! Thank you for the compliments! The pattern I was trying to make is Harringbone. I'm not sure that very many rectangle weavers use this, so I was trying it out, learning as I went. It's basically 2 lines color A, then 2 lines color B. Then weave over 2, under 2. It comes out interesting. I did not make a video for making this one. Maybe I will soon! I appreciate you watching!
If you upload a video tutorial I'd watch! It's a really pretty design. Couldn't find one that looked exactly like yours based off Harringbone but it was close enough that I do plan on giving it a go next time I try a project. I appreciate the reply!@@thePacadashery
Hi Debra! Are you asking how I started the crochet edge? In this case I continued using the grey, at the corner where I ended weaving, and placed my hook in that space and just started as I show. You can tie your begining and end tails to secure your weaving, then use a new yarn for the edge, pull up a loop thru a corner, make a slip stitch, then continue to crochet from there. Does that make sense? If you are asking about the weaving, I have several weaving videos you can watch. Thank you for your comment. I do have another video on a crochet edge that shows begining and ending here: th-cam.com/video/8JDEdwXReTs/w-d-xo.html Hope this helps!
Hi Ruth, thank you for watching, and your comment! I know I didn't show the beginning, and yes, it would have been helpful, I apologize for not doing so. I answered the same question below, it might be helpful too. When I ended my weaving, I just continued with the grey, and stuck my hook in the corner, and pulled up a loop of grey and continued from there as in the video. You could tie on a new piece of yarn, by making a slip knot, put your hook in the knot, then thru the corner, and pull up a loop and pull it thru what is on your hook, then continue. I hope that makes sense. I have another video that might help. Thanks again. Here's the link: th-cam.com/video/8JDEdwXReTs/w-d-xo.html

How do you START this from the beginning?
