    When you get a Panerai to me everything else looks so mundane so I prefer to wear Panerai to anything else most of the time.

    Great video. I bought my first Panerai, model 111 15 years ago and still wear it all the time. Recently I bought the grey 44mm eSteel submersible and really love it. I'm lusting over the white dial...but not sure I can justify two submersibles.

    I love Panerai especially the submersible range but I do think they’re slightly overpriced. If it was priced at 5.5k or 6k it would be perfect

      Low end of that range is what I paid for my PAM682 pre-owned from Watchbox. It's the very first 42mm Submersible with black dial. I wouldn't mind adding this white dial model and wear them on alternate days.

    I have this in 42. He didn't mention that the movement DOESN'T hack. And the worst part is that it USED TO. They literally removed that feature for whatever reason (cost cutting?). That and an exhibition case-back (which I believe was also removed) is all that I wish was changed about this watch. Overall it's so gorgeous that I can overlook those issues. And the watch is overpriced, but if you want that unique look... Pay up.

      This responds to my question. I really love Panerai but will wait for the new P900 variation to enter Submersible. According to watchadvisor channel they already "improved a bit" the p900 and now it hacks.

    Brilliant choice! Check out Alpha Chrono straps - they look fanstatic when you want to dress it up.

    I’ve owned watches from every luxury brand from the Rolex price point and under and my Radiomir is the only one I was over the moon about. It’s the only one I wear now and it’s the only one I ever imagine myself wearing in the future.

    I also have this Pam1226. Love it so far. Recently, I got the new Pam1548 (white sandwich dial chrono 😍), steel bracelet is so comfortable. This Pam1548 is so much better than Pam1314. Pam1314 has many replica in China that I dont like. I also have a classic Pam1088. I love Panerai over 20 years no matter the trend. Cheer 😊

    Panerai have started my watch journey a few years ago :) I started with 00422 which I loved and is my almost daily watch and later on I bought 00721 :) I feel that I done with panerai but I loved them…

    You have presented exactly the model that I have discovered for myself for some time. If the Luminor had the same dial, I would probably choose it over the Submersible. I say the following about the size. Panerrai watches have to be big. And if it's not your daily rocker, then the 44mm look not too big on your arm. Personally, I find that the '42 Submersibles in particular look so shrunken.

    What about the bezel action? How could you leave out such an essential element of a dive watch? Makes me think that it must not be great.

  • @daviddigilio3036
    @daviddigilio3036 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Harrison, the best watch reviewers show the watch on wrist from afar, maybe even out on the street. It's why I like your reviews. This allows the viewer to see what it might look like in everyday wear, as opposed to close up camera shots that distort the size-on-wrist. Just thought it worth sharing, because very few do this as well as you.
    Would really love to see the 00683 in for review. A much more wearable Submersible for us sub-17mm wristers.

    Breaking off the crown protection is unrealistic. I’m a long time Luminor user, it’s my daily watch, incl. hiking and other sports. Given that they are automatic, there is rarely a reason to open ghe crown lever. (Forget the 42, it’s a Panerai so 44 or 47!).

      Yeah, that was going to be my question too. I have heard that several years ago, Panerai shifted some models away from using movements that hack… while downplaying the fact that a change had been made. That’s a non-starter for me, for more than one reason.

    • @robertposteschild2353

      @@valjean3141 Panerai also has been caught lying recently about their "in-house" movements. It's a brand that keeps lying.
