I think you’ll be the fastest man in the world within 2 years!! 100 and 200!! You are so dang strong, mentally, spiritually and physically. That is what will put you ahead of USA’s “#1” guy, he who shall not be named… I hope your pro coaches talk to you about your left arm swing and possibly/borderline too high of knee drive. Sooo nitpicking I realize, but of any man on earth right now who I want to see break the 200m world record, it is YOU! So thankful you’re in track and field and run for the USA.
Definitely gotta sing in the shower, too!!!! Make that joyful NOISE, unto The Lord! 😂 Next video, sing some MJ for us. Awesome video, Kung Fu Kenny! Can't wait to see the payoff in the 100, as well as the 2!! ❤️🙏🇺🇲💙🧀
I'm confused on the volume of the workout. Was it 3 sets of 10x100m. Surely it wasn't a total of 30x100m, was it? If so, I had no idea sprinters did that much volume. Also, was the goal pace something like 15-16"? Thanks for any clarification from Kenny or anyone else who understood it better than me. It's really great that this content is available from an Olympian.
Ever wondered which NBA players would be the best Track And Field athletes? Well the answer is in my newest video! LETS make track and field the GREATEST sport in the world🌎
Old school music and old school training session/workout. Absolutely no scientific basis for running slow repeat 100s for a sprinter. Thankfully you're incredibly fast anyway.
Training to train.. At the elite level there are very very view training session that will set a stimuli. So it's logical that most sessions are for preparation. You can do 2-3 hard sessions a week. But maybe it's better to aim for one really intense session every other week. I think too many athletes and coaches make this mistake.
I bet that Kenny doesn’t even know why he was doing this session. It’s mind-blowing how many elite athletes do pointless training because ‘that’s always what’s been done’. He mentioned how sore he was, so just take a day off. I realize this is completely counter-intuitive to a competitive athlete (and I’ve fallen into this trap many times myself), but this session is not helping anything. If I was Kenny’s coach, even at this time of the year, I would be working tirelessly on his starting and top-end speed through sleds/Exergenie/sand sprints/plyos, wicket runs etc. That’s where Kenny loses his races….the start, pickup and top-end speed. He had the slowest top speed in the 100m final and he regularly gets chased down by Lyles in the 200 (and did by Tebogo in Paris). Conventional track wisdom suggests that that has to be remedied by longer reps and yet more speed endurance, but I believe having a more efficient and powerful start and better top-end speed means he would pull away earlier in the 100 and expand less energy on the bend in the 200 and let him power away down the straight.
@tchai91 I can hear you. I'm also a believer in top speed over everything. And acceleration is the foundation of top speed. But maybe as I said it's a preparation session. Now as I think I have some experience, I believe it's really not about winning the moment but peaking when it counts the most. It's really difficult for the coach for such elite guys. At the end it's all about fitness and confidence. At least this is better than lifting weights with no purpose. Maybe this is counterproductive who knows. most athletes peak so early I their early 20s.. Maybe all this training afterwards is not working. Maybe the human organism cant deliver year after year. Even Bolt wasn't ont top all the time. But he was the goat of peaking! He delivers when it counts the most. No indoors. No good season opener. But from July to September he showed up big time!
This is the second week of conditioning, my 4th practice back. Speed work won’t come until later in the season, we take off seasons. Thanks for watching.
GPP phase. Builds mitochondria and capillaries to enhance recovery in workouts to come in the next phases of training. Prepares tendons and soft tissues. It’s a long season for a legit pro sprinter. it’s called periodization, and this stuff is in the scientific literature, I believe this workout could be called a form of extensive tempo.
COLEMAN , KENNY, KING, Etc! Awesome team
Lindsey?
This great for the relay because this mean they have a real connection as teammates that the usa has been lacking
THIS IS THE CONTENT WE WANT 🔥 🔥 🔥 Tell CC to stop playing and remember his TH-cam password. We want content from him too.

@@cuarto-pounderhe’ll support anyone good who isn’t Noah Lyles (this might be a large exaggeration I’ve only seen him here and on a post about Tebogo)
No way bednerick has a channel too, been watching Lyle’s this whole time. He must be Lyle’s biggest rival. It’s pretty cool
Thx Kenny for the like

Cheering you on from Japan!

Yeah I got confused also
3 sets of 10x100m at 15-16 second pace. 15 second rest between rep, breaks at intervals of 5
Extensive Tempo
@@kenny_bednarek so 30 in total?
@@kenny_bednarek damn 30 x 100 is wild 😅 even it is at a slower pace
💪🏾
I enjoy watching elite sprinters train.
star athletics looks soo fun 😂
3:25 Christian Colman sings? 🤣
Evidently 🤣
I heard that too😂
Psalm 32 has been helping me. Especially after falling. Be encouraged!
🔥
What has been your best and favorite workout please? Also loved the video!
Does anyone know what shoes those are? Kenny?
I need a better trainer for sprints that’s stable in the grass.
streakfly ?
@@dwaynepierre7520 yeah or maybe Pegasus 37? I don’t know
@priley91390 I checked back the the thumbnail its the Invincible
@@dwaynepierre7520 Thanks! They looked different, maybe it’s his shoe size. I appreciate it.
Rest in between reps?
استمر💚
How tall is Coleman, he looks 6ft next to Kenny being 6’2
Idiot coleman 5 feet 9 to 10 inches
Kenny 6 ft 2 -3 inches , this is ups and downs of grass surface , therefore coleman look bigger than actual height
最近は長編動画多いですね!
Hopefully that’s a good thing!
That intro looks familiar 😂
Was there ever a race u ran where u 100% know u were going to win. If yes which race at which event
Did you say 3 set of 10 repeat 100m, so 30 100m in total?
That is correct, at a slower pace of 15-16 seconds
Thank you for the clarification.
Why so many races Kenny? What's the rationale behind this huge amount of races?
🙂
YOU TRAIN WITH COLEMAN??
yeah he changed his coach after the US trials this year.
@@TheoOJamaloO1 REALLY?? I didn't know that, thanks for the response

3 sets of 10 x 100?????
Must be nice to be a sprinter… doing 100m repeats slower than a distance runner does 1k 😂

intense?? really??
No. Who cares..
