35:17 There was a portrait on the wall, where portraits of Trench and Jessie were mixed, so we see they are getting some signal from the Oldest House that the director may have changed, but it's too weak
It’s like a surface of water after something falls through. I feel like the whole Control 2 symbol is about waves/ripples. It ties well all the symbolism/metaphysics behind remedyverse.
She feels very 3 dimensional in her portrayal as she does carry herself with a disciplined readiness but actually reacts like someone who would still be struggling to maintain their composure in a situation as insane as the one she found herself in. Both the concentrated determination *and* the raw fear come through beautifully.
@HiddenMachineGaming that's good, man, and tell Matt his livestream for the lake house was 🔥💯💯he did great. I watched the playback after finishing it myself
I finished the DLC just now. I thought it was a nicely paced, atmospheric and well put together side story that culminated in one of the most frustrating and irritating boss fights I've played since ... Half of the bosses in Control. I think Remedy can spare a few more production dollars on bringing the gameplay design part of their company to par with the story side.
harewood s said in an interview before that he had play max payne 1 to 3 and control and that he put togheter quick that he was playng door, and even thathe geeked out a bit at seeing sam for the first time so that proffesional fan energy might be what remedy is after
i really enjoyed this dlc, which is no suprise to me because anything related to the realm of control always fascinates me suffice to say i was looking forward to this dlc the most and it didn’t disappoint for the most part. of course there’s a few things they fell short on, like interesting combat encounters, an actual good boss fight, which by this point ive accepted remedy is not capable of given their track record 😭, and overall length of playtime. very solid dlc and setup for control 2 !
Was a mid dlc honestly, there’s control side missions that were longer than this. The main villains didn’t even seem all that bad until the final few moments, maybe I didn’t read 100% of the random notes around but they didn’t go very hard with these two. Dylan was more haunting and if you played the Alan wake awe expansion from Control, wow what a difference in storytelling honestly.
Fair! I really enjoyed it, but I also feel like Remedy had larger plans for both DLCs and were impacted by McCaffrey’s death. Cut content mined from the game suggests that was the case, and you can kinda pick up on that feeling while playing
@@HiddenMachineGamingseems likely and honestly game-dev seems to go on much longer than most tv shows and movies and we just had a major pandemic. I intend to play it again as it’s so short to play through and see what I did miss.
I get that the comments about female characters around the 8 minute mark were sarcastic and meant as a joke, but as a woman who's a fan of Remedy games and enjoys your content, I didn't find it funny at all. I don't care at all about your personal taste in breasts and doubt any other woman watching does either. Even if you were joking, the reality is that some of your first comments on the game were focused on objectifying female characters and repeating mysoginistic talking points "sarcastically" without any condemnation of that viewpoint. Even if that wasn't your intention at all, you didn't think about how that would make a woman feel at any point from filming to uploading. As a fan of the channel it was really disappointing.
For us, sarcastically bringing it up is condemning it. We’re mocking the types of comments we see on our videos. We have tons of whining incel dorks leaving comments like that, especially on our Alan Wake videos, so poking fun at that sort of thing is just a way for us blow off some steam rather than attempt to get into argument with every single commenter. A lot of our humor on the channel is crass and abrasive, but I’m sorry that we made you feel uncomfortable. While that isn’t our intent, we’ve had similar humor in our videos for the past six years and probably will continue to do so, but we can definitely be more mindful in letting people know when we’re being “sarcastic” so it isn’t left unclear.
@@HiddenMachineGamingjust want to add that I wasn't sure you were being sarcastic initially. I hear both of your comments and I appreciate the clarification.
It is okay if you didn’t find it funny. Nobody blames you for that as people have different sense of humor and we shouldn’t judge people being a bit different.
We've been doing this show longer than we've been lore videos. I know that it's not something everyone is going to enjoy, but we're not going to stop. However, there will plenty more proper lore videos as well!
The people have yearned for Jordan Hill

Oh, just caught it on footage later in the video, that it's actually in the Oceanview Motel threshold section, so never mind

Thanks guys!
What a nice drop!! bout to watch now
I like estevez because she actually seems to have fear in her voice.
Wow, great observation

Been waiting for this
Name more iconic duo, i'll wait
Ayeee, I'm so excited to watch this💯💯 missed Jordan
Glad to be back!

Finally! Im excited for the thoughts about the Control 2 teases.. ❤

I think that’s fair. The boss fight was frustrating, but still better than their pre-Control boss fights.
@@HiddenMachineGaming Yeah, I'll agree with that. Still, the final boss just made me mad, and it kind of soured the whole ending! Errg.
13:15 in the current year there is a cake is a lie poster. incredible

That is so cool!
I'm just here for the cat! xD
As always, fun discussion!
ngl i just watched the cat
We need a cat cam
This humour is exactly my jam.😂
My cat is also super anti-woke. He wears a little red hat when he thinks I'm not watching.
Love you guys so much for mocking all the losers who can’t handle women or other ethnicities being in anything haha ❤️ yall rock
what if nobody likes Darling because this the product of Darling being in the darkplace and being put at the begining of the loop
Hmmmmm

Dear Chasey Lain
I wrote to explain
I'm your biggest fan
I just wanted to ask...
hell yeah
i always see AMV hell 0 in my head when i hear this
49:54 Maybe I just got insanely lucky but I didn’t take a single point of damage throughout the entire dlc, when playing on the hardest difficulty
Damn!
You can't mention mudvayne costume and not show it. Come on.
Good point. Check our latest post on the channel

Huniepop?
You both are very cute guys
We try
Cant wait for your Trap movie review
Seemed like 15 min of DLC talk
an hour of: HEH-HEH-HEH!!!
Not that's bad--just jarring tone from only having seen scripted stuff lol
Sorry, we’ve got plenty more scripted stuff coming!

Or try to lighten up and stop being offended all the time. It's a joke. Relax Karen.
brah wth happened here? Where's all the deep thought and critical thinking?
This series has never gone super deep. Like I state in the video- a deeper, bigger video on the entirety of Alan Wake 2 is in the works.
these podcasts suck, very hard to hear, stick to well thought lore videos like before?
sound is perfectly fine for me
What’re you talking about? 😂

@@HiddenMachineGaming I enjoy the more layed back unprofessional atmosphere of these podcasts.
