    This may have been stated somewhere since this is an older video, but I have a '19 JLU and the booklet it states 35" tires can fit on it stock. Off roading may be an issue, but they do fit.

    PLEAAAASE DO A SAHARA JL BUILD OR A SPORT. everyone is doing rubicon builds and it has gotten old very quick. Us non-rubicon jL owners, who loved the leather dash and comfort, want our JL to be off road beast as well.

      Yes SERIOUSLY !!! NO ONE CARES about the Rubicon builds. It's already eqiupded with lockers, sway discons, tons of onbaurd elec gadgets ECT. Watching Rubicon build vids is a boring and pointless as watching a video where they take a formula 1 car and upgrade stuff.

    Just came across your channel and very informative-thanks bought my JL for some trails and camping three months in and have went with the 2in BDS lift with shocks, JKS quick disconnect sway bar links, 33 in BFG K02's, Smittybilt rock crawler side armor, Barricade trail force front bumper and a 10k Smittybilt winch/w synthetic rope, So next question not a wall crawler or mall crawler do I really need a rear bumper? and why the light bar? really don't like those will stay with the KC lights.

      H M thanks for the compliment, and glad you like our videos! Sounds like you’re pretty well set up already. Rear bumpers are a great styling upgrade that also offer a lot of expandability for other accessories like fuel tanks, ladders, light bars, tow hooks and much more. “Really need” is gonna be totally up to you :-)

    would you suggest fitting a 33.0 in. tyre & 17.0 in. wheel combo with a 3.0 in. suspension lift in the WRANGLER Unlimited JL???

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That sounds like a great set up to us! A 3" lift is not quite enough lift to fit 35's (unless you have a Rubicon), so the 33's should be perfect.

      That is true. You can also fit them on a stock Jeep. If you want to go off-road though it’s a bad idea. If you’re never going to do that, 100% factual.

    I have a 21 Wrangler Unlimited Willys Sport and was told it has the Rubicon suspension and 2" lift on 32" tires. Can I go 37"s on those or stay with 35?

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's got Rubicon suspension and a 2" lift on top of that, should be able to go with 37's, but it's hard to say for sure. 32" are tiny, not sure why they'd have lifted 2" and only put on 32's, and not 35's.

  • @scotmotzny6344
    @scotmotzny6344 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Okay. Not gonna lie. I want a Jeep that can perform off road, but I will probably hit the trail twice a year. I live in NC, so that probably means some dirt/rock trails, but nothing like going to Moab or the actual Rubicon trail. My question is, do I really need a Rubicon or should I get a standard model and upgrade it later if need be? I can't lift it too much either because my garage door is pretty low. I can just about get my Toyota Tundra in with 2" to spare on top and I think that's about 76" high.

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Scot, yeah you'd probably be 100% satisfied with the Sport or Sahara and some modest modifications! The Rubicon is great, but it's probably overbuilt for the demands you'll put on you Jeep. Let us know what you choose and hit us toll free at 1.833.MOTOROSO when you're ready for mods!

    Starts video admitting they don't have a JL yet... Here's advice from an owner. 35s fit my JLUS without a lift and turned lock to lock with no rubbing. That is with new wheels though -12 offset and 4.5" back spacing. Not enough up travel to off-road but a mall crawler would be just fine. I put a 2" lift on and in my opinion it looks better that way.

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great addition to the conversation, thanks Derrick!

    • @derrickyapp9241
      @derrickyapp9241 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      No problem. A bigger lift was needed on the JK so I know where you were coming from. I figured this out because I had to install the wheels before the lift (stock backspacing was too much for my lift kit) and I drove it for about a week before I could get the lift installed.
      Really good video. My only other suggestion for 1st purchases would be floor mats instead of a light bar.

  • @k.l.858
    @k.l.858 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I disagree with what the video talks about the maximum tire size for a 2 1/2 lift. It states 34 inch tire. (False) I have a Rock Krawler 2.5 Adventure lift kit running 35 inch tires with a 4 1/2 backspace and -12 offset with no rubbing at all on my 2019 Sahara. Most 2 1/2 lifts for the JL can run a 35 inch tire. If you run modified fenders you can use 37 inch tires also. I hate when videos are wrong!

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really appreciate you adding this to the comments section! We generally try to get it all exactly right, but as you know there's quite a lot of variables when it comes to wheels and tires, and sounds like the combination you have allowed a bigger tire with only 2.5" lift. Wish we could edit videos after they've been published, but the comments section is the best place for these kinds of updates and corrections.
      Question: with your 2.5" lift and 35" tires, did you need to do any plastic/metal trimming? Aftermarket fenders?
      Clarification: Yes, 37's can fit on any Jeep with enough aftermarket mods. However, on a non-rubicon model, 37's will cause excessive stress on the OEM gearing/drivetrain and could result in serious damage, thus we don't advise going larger than 35's on a sport or sahara wihout drivetrain upgrades.

  • @VideosOffRoad
    @VideosOffRoad 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    OMG, Light bars? Seriously? It's true the stock (non-LED) headlights suck, but swapping in some LED headlights solves all the issues. You can't even USE a light bar at night if you're following someone else on the trail, because you'll blind them. And going wheeling alone is insane. And if you're in the woods, what, now you can see the TOPS of the trees too? What a joke. When I wheel at night behind others I even have to turn off my LED headlights because they blind the person in front of me, so I run with just the stock fog lights, and it works great. I have never met a serious wheeler / rock crawler with a light bar. LED headlights are a VASTLY better upgrade, because you can benefit from them every night. LED headlights should have been #7.

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great point!

    • @seanalexander9373
      @seanalexander9373 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Idk, I had a light bar on my jk and I don't yet have one on my jl and I really want one. The LED headlights are great for seeing far down the road but a light bar (if pointed the right way) will light the sides up better. Also a reverse led bar or pod is a must.

    Those LED light bars are the ugliest thing I have ever seen anyone put on a Jeep.

    • @Motoroso
      @Motoroso  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To each their own, right? That's the beauty of the aftermarket, everyone gets to choose their style and personalize the way they want. We agree, some mounting positions don't look so hot, but others look pretty badass. But in either case, when you flip those things on at night, there's no going back, they work great! Which year Jeep do you have, and what mods have you done so far? Did you come up with a lighting solution without a bar?

    • @MysticRick
      @MysticRick 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Important tip. Bright lights above shine off your hood and blind you. Keep them in front for better visibility.
