Great review. After completing Atomic Runner for arcade it was a nice surprise to find this on genesis and see it was a completely different game, much longer and much better. This game was tough and I could tell that I would need alot of practice to put the whole game together. Its one I should try again at some point.
The levels on the arcade and Genesis versions are nearly identical, only with cosmetic differences, and the arcade had Data East's patented, two alternating stage themes, which are the first and final stages on the Genesis one. Glad they included more awesome music for it.
@@NefariousWes Ah, ok. Didnt really notice when I went on it. I remember having more trouble with the bosses for some reason during my practice session. The levels also seemed harder to me but maybe that was because of the limited continues and being more aware of running out.

Thanks! This game is pretty cool. Once you learn how to play it, it gets really addicting. And the soundtrack is outstanding! The music has been stuck in my head for weeks now.

It has that vibe... that Andrew will not make it past stage 1 vibe... Your video makes it look like so much fun though. At least I can go listen to the soundtrack in peace.
I remember you mentioning once that auto-scrolling stages make you anxious. That's all this game is! But man, this game rocks some serious balls! It's so damn good! And I still have the soundtrack stuck in my head. Excellent tunes! And yeah, this game is really tough. It took tons of practice to get the hang of, but it's so addicting, that playing it over and over was not a problem. Highly recommended!

genesis seems friendly version ive only played the arcade its fucked. like fucked fucked.
It just looks that way cuz I learned how to play. I died so much when I first played it, I wasn't sure I was gonna like it. You could say this version is fucked as well, though I haven't played the arcade version.
