Nice one again. Good to hear some of the back story about not so successful nights on the fox. Makes us realise it happens to the best of us. Sometimes on TH-cam it just makes it look like every time someone's out it's a success story but they're just cherry picked moments in reality. Nice job on the rats too!!
Ye 100% pal obviously if i filmed all the blanks i think folk would get sick of watching but ye that one fox no lies took 4 nights and around 12 hours of waiting and calling in total why i didn't take the long shot and waited for an easier one

The slugs certainly sound like they hit harder than the standard pellets Simon. And unless I’m imagining it, there seems to be less kicking around from nerves after they’re down too. Cracking job as always 👍

Great vid simon, i run zans in 25 and 30 fac, i have used the zans since they were first available i relube with imperial sizing die wax.. it closed the groups from ab 2in ,to slug on slug, clean barrel ab 20 fouling shots and that was that, i will.try the 177,s zans in my sub 12 wolverine, with and without lube,. Ye Steve in my FX King i tried the Zans and they shoot very well but not as good as the H/Ns for some reason the H/Ns on paper almost one hole at 50 yards around 950 ftps.

I was out the other night foe two hours and only saw one rat in all that time, a tad boring really.

One of my permissions is teeming with rats during the day which makes me think that after dark must be even busier, but I have been at different times and it’s been absolutely dead. I think the barn owl is making them too scared to come out at night? At another permission which is closer to the suburbs I get followed around the farm by a cat, and I see plenty of others wandering about on the thermal, but that doesn’t seem to deter them coming out.
How do Simon. Have your sponsors, (I use the term loosely), not dragged you into the NEC show this weekend? I prefer the Stafford show (usually in May if I remember correctly), but I'll be at the NEC anyway, (excuse for a day out),😊

Realy pleasant day out if the weather's good. Lots of outdoor food stalls etc... not as commercial as the NEC. It's a cracking day out if the weather's good. You could walk around and melt into obscurity at that one 😄

Just learned about the hole in the lense cap from a mate at northwest guncentre Bolton going to do it myself
Ye it was me that told them lol
It's an old trick I used on a Photon. Turns it into a decent day scope, and flip up the cap for low light.

Ye strange Steven don't get me wrong pellets are more accurate but for like 25 yard rats and such they seem ok in that Wolverine.
