I, too, have always had a high enthusiasm for this game. The voice actors, doing a younger Bruce Wayne/Batman and a younger Joker are spot-on for this game. Plus, this younger Bruce is still needing to learn to control his anger. Like Alfred says: “You’re not some hardened vigilante! You’re a young man with a trust fund and too much anger!” As much as this title is overlooked, the one “Arkham” game no one almost never talks about is this game’s follow-up: “Batman: Arkham Origins: Blackgate,” for the PS Vita and Nintendo DS. It’s 2.5-D instead of 3-D. And, chronologically, it’s the first “Arkham” game with Catwoman, which is the game’s first boss, as well as the final boss. The story follows the formation of the Suicide Squad. And it even shows what happened to Bane after Batman left him hanging in Blackgate in “Origins.” I think it’s a game worth any “Arkham” fan’s time.
Origins is absolutely a good game. Coming in after Asylum and City and not being made by Rocksteady the game had a lot to live up to, and while it isn't perfect it's still a damn good game and I always include it when mentioning the Arkham games. Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill not playing Batman and Joker was unfortunate but Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker give commendable performances in their place. I love the Christmas theme, the assassins are cool, the story is fun and Batman, Joker, Deathstroke and Bane are all great. I will hear no fucking slander about this game.
I remember being in the 9th grade coming back home after school to no internet everyday and playing this game while listening the radio and just having the time of my life

I have to say that Batman Arkham Origins is by far my Fav Batman game. it is a nostalgie. i played it on the Xbox 360 when i was younger and this game reminds me of my childhood.

people say "aRKhaM OriGiNs iS sO unDeRraTed" so much that now its overrated. It is simply not good compared to the main games; It has a rubbish story (except a few emotional parts I'll give you that), it adds nothing substantial to the previous games, the map is a literal copy of arkham city yet the traverse is somehow worse, the graphics are goofy, this Batman is unrelated to the main Batman (I know he's supposed to be young and inexperienced but I simply cannot see any similarity), the plot-twist is random and unasked for (I'm sick of seeing the Joker as the main villain every, damn, iteration) and more and more. The only thing in favour of A.O. is its boss fights and sadly, that's not sufficient in calling it a "MASTERPIECE".

I think people who harshly criticize this game cherry pick the hell out of problems and are way too hard on it because it wasn't made by Rocksteady. The games story is arguably the best as it shows a younger and inexperienced who thinks he's unbeatable and doesn't need help until he is given a wake up call by Bane trashing the Batcave. The dynamic with Alfred is perfect with the two having a conflict of understanding - Bruce not realizing he can't do it alone with Alfred trying to get him to open up to possible allies throughout the game, and Alfred not realizing that Batman is the ONLY person making a real difference about the crime in Gotham. The conflict culminates after Bane wrecks the cave and the two finally understanding each other. You can see during the 2nd Blackgate riot that Batman checks up on Alfred multiple times. {Also anybody who says the scene of Alfred dying sucks because 'He was in Arkham City and Knight'' missed the point of that scene}
Rocksteady did a great job with Arkham Asylum, but WB Games did it better! I love the cut- and fighting scenes. I am playing Arkham Origins & Gotham Knights only!
This was the same company and devs that did Gotham Knights. I don't get why they went so bad, rocksteady abandon the Arkhamverse and the last hope we had was WB Games Montreal and they came out with Gotham Knights..

The only thing I didn't like about the game were the bugs. But other than that I beat this thing 3 times. I think people just don't like it is cause the comparison to the rock steady games which are god tier. This is still pretty good.
I have ordered a copy and it is better than Batmobile Knight easily, the boss fights made this game special and the last good game released by a Montreal-based studio
Watched about a dozen of YT videos claiming it's underrated. Played it myself and found it meh. It's definitely not as bad as people make it out be (during its launch) but no where near the acclaim the YT community wants people to believe.
It's not a masterpice. Orgins can be a fun game, but there are just too many little problems ( poorly designed map, recycled assests, bugs, glitches, bizzare desing choices like challenge system ) to make it a great game.
No it's not and it doesn't even makes sense and the people who made it and presented it were pretty arrogant and it's was supposed to be events leading arkham asylum, rather they went to create batman origin story where batman is new and joker was just discovered... right before arkham asylum event makes no sense. where batman in arkham asylum was already very experienced and knew joker for quite some time and event of killing joker already happened because we had oracle in arkham asylum.

Tried to find this on xbox since i main PS. Sad to say it's not on xbox, which was a letdown.
