2003-11 Lincoln Town Car climate control self test. EATC self test. No codes, everything at the end lights up on the screen. Ignore beeping as it's air bag code.
The last gen Town Cars have flawed, but fixable a/c systems. The cowl air intake was improperly sealed from the factory - lots of videos on how to properly seal it. They also lacked a cabin air filter, but a Jeep Grand Cherokee cabin filter is easily trimmed to fit. The lack of a cabin filter leads to the number one reason for low performance - the evaporator core gets plugged up with dirt and debris. Not helping matters is that no one, not even Ford, makes a quality replacement. They are fragile and end up with minor pinhole leaks that are so small that most people don’t even notice. But with even a tiny pinhole leak that makes dust cling to and build up on the evaporator core - greatly diminishing its cooling performance. Then there is the defective case holding the accumulator dryer - that traps in dirt and moisture and rots and rusts the accumulator. That is easily fixed with the zip tie mod. Do this mod and install a cabin filter and you will be golden for many years.

These 03-11 models of Town Car had HORRIBLE AC systems compared to the classics of 80-89 which could freeze you in the car. The air was cold..but the fan was too damn weak. Couldn't keep you cool on an 85 degree hot and humid day. And if you don't believe me..go find a well taken care of 80-89 Town Car and see what a REALLY powerful AC fan is.
Nightbird I agree! Super weak ac! I’ve had two, 2004, and 2006. Both have terrible ac! Especially in Texas! I wonder if I would be able to modify a different ac fan that might push more airflow?
@@angelzapata24 Exactly! I'm from TX too and that's where you really can tell if an AC works good or bad. My '82 Lincoln Mark VI could freeze me on the hottest August day in TX..lol.
My 2003 Town Car just randomly started getting a battery light about a year ago so i put two different batteries ended up dropping big money on a napa battery. Than replaced infuse wiring also the alternator just replaced the ground wire to the battery. Now am just starting to notice when the battery light is coming on if I turn on the air or heat than hit the OFF button the battery light will go out??? WTF IS THAT ABOUT LMFAO
Start the car Turn the climate control off. At the sake time press off and floor at the same time and hold the off and floor button down together for 1 second. Let up off the off and floor button at the same time. Wait 1 second and then press the Automatic button To get out of the self test mode press windshield defrost or turn the car off
Any one know why my '07s radio doesn't work? I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. It sat for almost a year before I purchased it and was working fine before
@@CrashCo it’s getting harder to find low mileage clean ones around my area and when I find them they want an arm and a leg , but there’s plenty of beaters with over 200k miles

I unfortunately crashed a mint 03 Cartier with sunroof and it had 128k miles transmission didn't feel perfect but meh it ran just fine aside from a few bad temp sensors and I couldn't just buy a normal car so I found a 2011 town car executive L but this time in all black finding these in a clean interior no seat rips is difficult at least here in SoCal. I found it with 142k miles you cant find these ex Livery service cars with under 160k miles It has cracks and scratches on the bumbers but thats it interior is perfect got mine for 3600k and paid another 1600 to my mechanic to fix rhe AC compressor and replace the cracked intake manifold which cracked from the rear and was leaking coolant got new spark plugs and just to be safe an oil change cus cant always trust a sellers word. car runs great I can see it getting to 200k miles and more with no issues with its regular maintenance now. Next job might be fixing up the radiator fan cus its louder than my 03 cartier and louder than my first 01 Exe L that one started gathering so many electrical and mechanical issues had to get rid of it became a money pit. If you see this message and know. Is it normal for the Fan to turn on and stay on almost all the time? My mechanic says its normal it'll turn on which I understand but I don't remember it being so loud and noisy.

Thanks for the no bs video. On my 2010 explorer sport trac it is face + off then auto. Otherwise worked just like you showed.
