This song instantly brings me back to being a little kid. Dad listening to country music while working outside in the yard, mom cleaning inside, me and my sisters with no cares in the world, no stress or anxiety running around from inside to the back yard. Paradise.
My wife and I are 61, we have 3 kids now 34, 32 and 29. I vividly remember this song and how true it was and even more so 22 years later. Enjoy your family while their young and the hard, growing and challenging times.
I'm living it! 😂 My husband and I joke but seriously he just fixed the washer, kids scream in the morning getting ready for school (8&6), it's Friday my husband is helping another co worker finish a job....no telling when he will be home. Seems like nightly the kids are in bed with us after a few hours in their own. ❤ But I wouldn't trade a minute of being in the trenches with my wonderful husband.
True story: I am a college student in the home town of Phil Vassar. He supports a local company down here by doing fundraiser concert for them twice a year. This past week, Wednesday night to be exact, He came home to do a Christmas concert for a fundraiser for them. He posted on his story that he was downtown, and I took the chance and went to the venue. I got very lucky, and the fundraiser coordinator and his manager (I think) let me meet him, even when I didn’t buy a ticket for the event. He came out before his show in front of the venue and met me, talked for a few minutes, and he made a video for my dad who grew me up on his music wishing him a happy bday and congrats on his recent retirement as well as took a picture with me, which will be part of my dad’s Christmas gift this year. That night still does not feel real. This man is legit so genuine and kind, he could have been a jerk and said no, but he didn’t. His music is forever changed for me and probably my dad too. Will forever support the efforts of this man. Just had to share this, have a great night.
My husband and I saw Phil in concert in July. It was just another day in paradise with him at the concert. Now it's November and my husband has passed away and I'd give anything for just another day in paradise.
Definitely agree! Watching this video brought me all the way back to my younger days. Watched this video and sang this song to the top of my lungs many times over.
Just had a come to Jesus moment now in 2022 and finding out I'm becoming a dad for the first time...this song just hits right in the those deep emotional feelings that most of us guys just tuck away...everyday with my wife is paradise and now I get a blessing from the big man upstairs! GOD IS GOOD! GOD BLESS YALL
When you struggle with depression as I did as a child things can seem hopeless. And the unending sadness becomes tiresome. And I wanted to end my life. But I believe the Lord intervened on my behalf by the prayers of others. I wanted desperately to feel love and be loved. Flash forward 30 years. Married for 20+ years 3 children and ive found peace and joy in Jesus. And I "THANK the Lord, every night, that I get another day in paradise"
Honestly having a good fam is a good gift. Didn't have one at first but now I do, or at least a better one. It's okay, it's alright no other place I would rather be
D Q I know how that feels. I was in the system for four years. I mean, it sucks having to go through that, and I still have PTSD from it. But, even doe I still fight with my fam (mom mostly), I think that there's no other way to have it
2024. I sing this LITERALLY every day. Most times, this chaos we call life, actually feels like paradise. I'm so blessed. All the bad just fades away when I hear my children singing or my husband laughing. When my dad calls, he end it with "get back to your paradise". I LOVE this song!
Grew up on this song. My dad passed of cancer almost two months ago. The next day, this song was the first to play on my shuffled liked songs. I swear it was him telling me he is okay and his life with our family was the best thing he ever got to experience. I love you forever and always dad.
I love your comment. I know exactly how you feel. My father died when I was 6, I’m now 32. That time that you had with your father is so much more than just memories. He’s taught you and imprinted on you. I’ve had to find my own way to being a man and a person overall. I never got that time with him but I’d like to think I’ve made him proud with his name.
I used to dream of my future wife and kids to this tune at maybe age 12-14... Now here I am 32 with two beautiful children and a home with a loving endlessly inspiring woman. Wow
Sadly that wouldn’t fly today. “Country music” is as bad as any. One could sympathize with pedophilia and probably be lauded as a progressive humanist but let on that they might be a Christian and they’d be blacklisted.
How many people that have heard this song realize that the simple things in life, truly are a paradise? I have listened to this song at least 50 times. In order to remind myself on the down days that paradise is all around me.
When this song came out, we were dealing with just about every issue he sang about lol My husband was literally fixing our broken washer and we had a stack of bills that needed paying lol That morning we discovered our fridge went out and guess what, one of our youngins poured spoiled milk hahaha Best song ever! We had 3 youngins at the time and getting any alone time was nearly impossible and we always had a baby sleeping with us from bad dreams to my brothers wont leave me alone. Gosh amazing memories!! We have been married for 36 years now and have 4 amazing grown ups that are raising their own. I hope they have as amazing a time raising theirs as we had raising them!
I send this to my wife on Facebook every once in awhile. The words" two hearts one dream.." and " I ask the Lord every night, for just another day in paradise" always hit home with me.
Kathleen Roth God may have wanted a good world without murder, rape, terrorists, war, homeless and starving children, without child abuse but He created free will which is the worst choice He ever made. People do horrible things everyday. You don't need to put on the news to find that out. I really wish God would take away free will but He chooses not to so this is how the world is. He could make it perfect but He chooses not to. None of these horrible things are not meant to happen. I don't give a crap what the bible says. It's not meant to happen. I don't know why God would let this crap happen anyway. He isn't around helping anyone.
We saw Phil in concert in Warsaw Indiana in th 90's....in his early career. After the concert we got to get on his bus and he shared popsicles with us!! Great night. He was very nice to us.
I love this song! My hubby used to sing it to me all the time! He even had this played at our wedding! So true for what marriage really is compromise and hard work!
I was born September 29th 2002 and I still remember this song because in the early 2000s we used to have this music video on TV that plays all kinds of country from the 90s or 2000s but it not on TV any more I forgot what it was called and it had my favorite singer of all time on there Reba Mcentire 😊
Its 2023 and my husband just sent me this. We are expecting our 3rd child. I been with him 10yrs. I love him so mich. Thank you love for sending me this. You are my everything!
Just got Married a few weeks ago and this is our Wedding song ..... While we had our first dance to this song our 14 month old son ran up to us and had to be in between ....This is truly our life HAHA ... Everybody loved the song and got many compliments
Real country started back in the late 60’s with conway twitty and george strait. Now country and rap have mixed and it sounds like crap. Im only 21 but i was raised on the older music that had meaning behind it. That is almost gone now
Timeless Truth 👍 Kids grow up & move on. Marriage for life isn't promised bc life itself isn't. What if you lost them or never had them at all. Cherish the good & happiness while it lasts. 💩 happens. It won't matter in a year. Your loves & memories will. Who's here in 2030 ?, 35, 40, 45, 50 ??? GREAT song Phil, thank you.
I am and it is 2022...just got done working another graveyard shift, and got kids off to school, and now gonna close my eyes lol lovin the supermom life 😆
Yes that’s the good stuff right there. My wife and I have a son married and one in college. Then she got pregnant at 43. Her and I are the same age so we are getting to do it over again. Thank you God. Wow I am lucky
It’s funny. I’m 29 years old, I’ve been listening to this song for as long as I can remember, have always known all the words but never fully understood the feeling behind the song. Last night, my partner and I were making a homemade pizza and listening to music and this song came on. We sang as the pizza baked then we ate it in bed while we watched a movie and fell asleep in each other’s arms. As I was drifting off to sleep, I remember thinking that I felt like the luckiest man in the world and that there wasn’t a single thing in the world that I wouldn’t trade if only I could have one more perfect moment like this. That was the moment I fully appreciated this song.🙂
3:12 thats it. Thats what every man needs. And wants. A life, quiet in the morning but a minute away from the noise of the day. Knowing your doing everything and takimg care of your family. It may not mean much to you but for most of us men that have suffered from abuse thats paradise for us. That moment.
I am sadly away from my wife and son for right now but every time I look at my phone and see our first family picture together I just thank the Lord for giving me the paradise I desperately needed in my life and I thank him everyday
I grew up in the St. Louis area until age 10-ish. My mom was a real estate agent and my dad built houses. I remember very fondly 2008/09/10 when the housing market was crashing. Other than a few moments like mentioned in the song, I had no idea there was anything bad happening. Riding around in my dad's truck listening to talk radio and country music like this is something ill never forget, and listening to this song in particular brings it back clear as day.
Can’t stop watching this video after seeing it for the first time. Heard this song growing up and always wished for a family that Phil is singing about. Who is this woman in the video?? She’s beautiful.
This is my theme song from when my daughter was born. 2 weeks old, the heater went (in winter). 2 months old, the water heater went (still winter). Working a full-time job and raising my baby girl 1800mi from family doesn't make for the easiest job but every day with her is another day in paradise.
17 years together, 13 married. I play this song for her when we have troubles and she laughs. This song sings to the heart of everything that was once was good country music.
My wife and I have been together since we were 15 years old. Listened to this song early on and we bring it back periodically throughout the years and it brings perspective. Life can be perfectly imperfect if you look at it the right way. Best wishes to all out there. Smile more, and enjoy each day!
This one's for my friend who worked and left Jimmy Miller crew take care of your family God's given u another chance 🙏 stay humble out of trouble and may the Lord bless your family
Ever since I was a kid after hearing this song anytime anyone asks me how things are going I always say, just another day in paradise. I’ve never been more committed to a saying in my life 😆
This is the best number one country song especially a family wife and children Just another day in paradise I Love this song never gets old this song should have gone platinum at the CMT awards This song hits home to me cuz that's how families parents should be The younger generation won't understand this song Play this song when your sad and depressed it will cheer you up real quick again 🕊️ Of peace
No matter if you're having a rough day this song will make you smile and be singing right along and by the end you have the biggest smile on your face it's still just as great as it was when it first came out 🇺🇸
when I was in the military I was coming off the ship on our anniversary this song was playing so I told some buddies to keep her busy for a few min l went set up a domino candle light dinner for her at the park lost her to sickness though almost 5yrs ago

Written by Craig Wiseman and Phil Vassar, and performed by American country music artist Phil Vassar. "Just Another Day In Paradise" became Vassar's first #1 hit, and was released to country radio stations on June 5, 2000, as the second single from Vassar's self-titled debut album. On his 2002 album "Cledus Envy", Cledus T. Judd parodied the song as "Just Another Day In Parodies", with a spoken cameo by Phil Vassar at the end. The song is about a couple who raised a family to deal with domestic distractions, such as the kids screaming and the phone ringing, dog barking at the mailman, stack of bills, sour milk, a broken washing machine, being late on Friday, crying at the restaurants, Domino's Pizza and a candlelight, having a bad dream, and sleeping in between. The music video was directed by Gerry Wenner, and produced by Robin Beresford. The video premiered on CMT on June 29, 2000 during CMT's "Delivery Room". In the video, Vassar films their family on a camcorder at a house, such as a closeup of the eggs, burnt toast, mother preparing breakfast for the kids, looking at sour milk, sitting on a broken washing machine, having pizza by candlelight, and the family preparing for bed. In between the scenes, Vassar sings and plays piano on a beach, singing in a living room, and spending their family on the same beach. During the last scene of the video, the house turns out to be a film set on the beach, revealing it to be a toy when Vassar sits in the kitchen.👍
Don't take your little family for granted. I would do anything to live this life again. Unfortunately my mistakes in life cause me to lose all this in a heart beat. I'll always love you S.N. wish you could see the man I became for our babies. Hope the man you chosen make you happy everyday.
another one that makes me feel nostalgic, liked this song when I was a teenager but I feel it on such a different level now, I love my little family so much. this song really explains how I feel
Haven't heard this song in years and just stumbled onto it again. Brings back so many memories hearing it on the radio in the car driving with my mom and grandmother. Good days
I have missed hearing this. This is the first song I dedicated to my Beautiful Wife. I haven't heard it in probably 5 years then today of all days trying to figure out what I'm gonna do for a place to live this pops on the Radio out of nowhere. Thank You God. I needed this.
I heard this song for the first time about 5 years ago. I dreamed of the day I could experience paradise with my future family. Fast forward to today and my beautiful wife and I are expecting a baby boy in August. This song makes me appreciate the life I’m blessed with and to not take the little things for granted. Can’t wait to enjoy our paradise.
I love Phil! The passion he puts into this song is unrivaled. When one is with the greatest love and beautiful children, regardless of anything else, it is just another day in paradise!
I remember when this song came out in 2000. From when this song came out until now (14 years later), it has always been my absolute favorite county song. It just played on the radio for the first time in a while. None of the new country stuff even comes close to the country songs made back in those days!
I'd say the early 2000's was when country music was still at my favorite genre. Afterwards it slowly started getting a bit too commercial for my liking.
15 years later and this is still one of my favorite songs. What happened to country music like this? When did it go from being with family & finding out who your friends are to dirt roads girls in bikini tops? Nashville Tennessee home of the sale out...
David Miller Guess you've never listened to true classic country where it was all about cheating and drinking (Hank Williams Sr, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Barbara Mandrell, Loretta Lynn, etc...). People always try to pigeon-hole country music. It runs the gammut just like every other genre of music.
One of the finest all around entertainers that I have ever seen live! He actually opened for Rascal Flatts and TOTALLY made them look like amateurs! Best part was playing Piano Man with no hads on the harmonica alone without the band! Sheer genius!
Who else is listening in 2024?
❤🎉
Phil is the greatest!!
Love this song
its a timeless song!
❤️❤️
This song instantly brings me back to being a little kid. Dad listening to country music while working outside in the yard, mom cleaning inside, me and my sisters with no cares in the world, no stress or anxiety running around from inside to the back yard. Paradise.
Hell yeah. My feelings exactly.
Sounds lovely 💚💙
i know what you mean my dad was like this he was always possive when it can to us kids.
Dad passed out drunk on floor frim last night.
Mom trying to wake him for work before she sends us off to school and she ges to work...yeah paradise.
🥰
My wife and I are 61, we have 3 kids now 34, 32 and 29. I vividly remember this song and how true it was and even more so 22 years later. Enjoy your family while their young and the hard, growing and challenging times.
Amen brother ❤
I'm living it! 😂 My husband and I joke but seriously he just fixed the washer, kids scream in the morning getting ready for school (8&6), it's Friday my husband is helping another co worker finish a job....no telling when he will be home. My husband and I saw Phil in concert in July. It was just another day in paradise with him at the concert. Now it's November and my husband has passed away and I'd give anything for just another day in paradise.
soursberries May the peace of the Father be with you.
soursberries sorry for your loss.

soursberries I am very sorry for your loss. I am happy that our lord took your husband to Paradise!!!! "Forever"!!!!!
I'm sorry for your loss.... May he Rest in Paradise
Such an underrated artist
Absolutely
Definitely agree! Watching this video brought me all the way back to my younger days. Watched this video and sang this song to the top of my lungs many times over.
Agreed 💯. Which I really don't get why he's underrated considering the song I'm Alright is written by him and sung by him and Jo Dee Messina.
Congratulations 🎉
Congratulations and enjoy every minute of it. Time goes by fast.
Bless you as well, Blaine!
i hope you are doing well.

What a testimony. But then, what an awesome God. This is part of the "Business" of God😊
That one song that simultaneously makes me feel good yet also makes me cry.
Stephanie never fails to get both emotions going lol
Makes you cry? Lol
Honestly having a good fam is a good gift. Didn't have one at first but now I do, or at least a better one. It's okay, it's alright no other place I would rather be
Danny Gokey- My Best Days are Ahead of Me. Just wanted to put this

same, and now listening to this with my boyfriend ❤️
Fully Agreed!!😄
Everyone needs to hear this song, especially during this pandemic. It makes you smile and appreciate all the little things.
Just Another Day In Paradise
I've seen him in a local private concert . Amazing ❤
Ah so simple but true….if everyone’s childhood had parents with this attitude, it would solve so many of the world’s problems ❤
Now day's this song hits way different. Im 41 now, i have 3 kids, 5,4,3. God blessed me with the best gifts i could ever ask for.
2024. I sing this LITERALLY every day. Most times, this chaos we call life, actually feels like paradise. I'm so blessed. All the bad just fades away when I hear my children singing or my husband laughing. When my dad calls, he end it with "get back to your paradise". I LOVE this song!
Thats what I call a relationship. When things go wrong, you can make it into good things
I sing this song everyday to remind myself if it weren’t for my wife and kids this life wouldn’t be anything. Love this song
Grew up on this song. My dad passed of cancer almost two months ago. The next day, this song was the first to play on my shuffled liked songs. I swear it was him telling me he is okay and his life with our family was the best thing he ever got to experience. I love you forever and always dad.
Sorry about your loss but I think GOD gave you that moment I lost someone too so I get it praying for you and your family

34 years old and I still love this song give me goosebumps now I have kids and can relate its crazy
Keep shining brotha! ❤
havent heard this song in lterally forever and kind of want to have kids sort of.
35, and engaged, and about to have severl soon-to-be nieces and nephews.
I love the fact that Phil's not afraid of sharing his own faith in God with his songs
yeah because back then people weren't pussies
His own faith is in his song "hey this is god"
Or wasn't i bet he would be now.
Sadly that wouldn’t fly today. “Country music” is as bad as any. One could sympathize with pedophilia and probably be lauded as a progressive humanist but let on that they might be a Christian and they’d be blacklisted.

I send this to my wife on Facebook every once in awhile. The words" two hearts one dream.." and " I ask the Lord every night, for just another day in paradise" always hit home with me.
Such a happy song. No matter what goes wrong day to day he has his family and to him that’s paradise. Amazing!
I say, it’s just another day in paradise all the time. Then I find myself singing this. I am thankful for TH-cam. 🙏
I'm here after Akaash Singh mentioned it on JRE yesterday. Never heard this song. Love it. Pure love song.
Happy early birthday
This is how God planed our lives and you can feel it when you listen to this song. thank you Phil

I am sadly away from my wife and son for right now but every time I look at my phone and see our first family picture together I just thank the Lord for giving me the paradise I desperately needed in my life and I thank him everyday
Who else is still listening to this in 2020?
Oh yeah fire 🌙
Great song
Yup
I’m seeing him tonight in TX show starts at 6-9pm so excited . Another day in paradise ❤️
One of my favourite songs of all time.
2022... Still a classic! Thank you, Akaash Singh for the reminder about this gem
I love Phil Vassar. One of the greatest country music songwriters ever
I grew up in the St. Louis area until age 10-ish. My mom was a real estate agent and my dad built houses. I remember very fondly 2008/09/10 when the housing market was crashing. Other than a few moments like mentioned in the song, I had no idea there was anything bad happening.

I saw Phil Vassar in a high school theatre. I was dancing on top of the chairs. I love his songs so much til this day.
Life sucks thank god for this song
Got married in Paradise, MO and listening to this song always takes me back to that day and the best memories!
Where I wish my life could of gone... But, I just live my own paradise!!! Ya! Only one life, gotta life everyday in paradise!!!!

This makes me so happy and relaxing.
I love this song so much. This is how I feel about life.
Another day in paradise is mega awesome song from mikeblack to you Phil vassar
Saw him in concert in Tallahassee in 2001. He was amazing.
Can’t stop watching this video after seeing it for the first time. Heard this song growing up and always wished for a family that Phil is singing about. Who is this woman in the video?? She’s beautiful.
The best country music came out of the 80's & 90's, after that it just lost it's way.
He wrote for Everyone. Truly underrated. Give me this over anything Nashville produces today!!!
Amen!!!! Nashville needs to bring back the 80's 90's
Mid 80s - Mid 2000s
This is my theme song from when my daughter was born. 2 weeks old, the heater went (in winter). 2 months old, the water heater went (still winter). Working a full-time job and raising my baby girl 1800mi from family doesn't make for the easiest job but every day with her is another day in paradise.
Aakash Singh's (of flagrant two podcast) mention of the song on Joe Rogan Experience got me here. Great Song.
Another favourite by my favourite artist.
Music just isn't what it used to be. ❤
That sure is the damn truth they should have more new country songs
17 years later... do couples like this still exist? I sure hope so. Such a happy song. :)
Doubt it. Selfish world
17 years together, 13 married.
Me and my bf r amazing couple 😀
my fiance and i are like this in 2021! it's doable. just takes both sides
Still a banger in 2019

Beautiful song :)
This guy is one incredible singer! No doubt about that!
Keep on pumping out those great tunes, Phil! We love ya!
Ever since I was a kid after hearing this song anytime anyone asks me how things are going I always say, just another day in paradise. I’ve never been more committed to a saying in my life 😆
This is the best number one country song especially a family wife and children
Just another day in paradise
I Love this song never gets old this song should have gone platinum at the CMT awards
This song hits home to me cuz that's how families parents should be
The younger generation won't understand this song
Play this song when your sad and depressed it will cheer you up real quick again
🕊️ Of peace
This was on Yacht Rock Radio today!
This songs makes me feel good. I see my 2 kids and their mother and all the problems we go through. Love it while you can, nothing last forever!
Happy 2024. My father sang this song to all of his grandchildren as babies. First year without my mom and this song is helping us through.
This song made me cry. So real. The stuff we take for granted
No matter if you're having a rough day this song will make you smile and be singing right along and by the end you have the biggest smile on your face it's still just as great as it was when it first came out 🇺🇸

Still listening to this song in 2017, and the Country music used to be paradise! George straight, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Toby Keith..ect..ect!!

Don't take your little family for granted. I would do anything to live this life again. Unfortunately my mistakes in life cause me to lose all this in a heart beat. I'll always love you S.N. wish you could see the man I became for our babies. Hope the man you chosen make you happy everyday.
This is just a beautiful happy song, I can't help but tear up just a little whenever I put it on
This was the message at Church the other day. Have you ever thanked God for your misfortunes? It makes them seem much more trivial when you do.
another one that makes me feel nostalgic, liked this song when I was a teenager but I feel it on such a different level now, I love my little family so much. this song really explains how I feel
Haven't heard this song in years and just stumbled onto it again. Brings back so many memories hearing it on the radio in the car driving with my mom and grandmother. Good days
Man, this takes me back! And wow it's still as amazing as the day I 1st heard it!
Saw him in West Palm Beach. He must have been brand new back then. Awesome concert!
I've always heard this song but today I heard it on Fox and Friends and put the song and the singer together HELLO PHIL VASSAR
I remember when this song came out in 2000. From when this song came out until now (14 years later), it has always been my absolute favorite county song. It just played on the radio for the first time in a while. None of the new country stuff even comes close to the country songs made back in those days!
Nothing better than listening to this in the morning making my family breakfast! Perfect start to a day
Joe Rogan and Akaash singh brought me here.
Love from India!
Nashville Tennessee home of the sale out...
nothing there is still plenty of it!
Nothing happened to country music there are still plenty of good artists...
It's still like that just not in every song.
+CrystalSC Very well said ...
One of the finest all around entertainers that I have ever seen live! He actually opened for Rascal Flatts and TOTALLY made them look like amateurs! Best part was playing Piano Man with no hads on the harmonica alone without the band! Sheer genius!
One of my all time faves by Phil Vassar! Still good 19 years later!
This song makes me cry EVERY TIME I hear it! This is my ultimate dream life; couldn't have summed it up better.
another beautiful love song . bless all who hear it with joy and peace
I had somehow forgotten about this song. So glad to have thought of it again and easily find it on TH-cam! Thanks for sharing.
