LYRICS:
You know I like my chicken fried
And cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
Well I was raised underneath the shade of a Georgia pine
And that's home you know
Sweet tea, pecan pie, and homemade wine
Where the peaches grow
And my house it's not much to talk about
But it's filled with love that's grown in southern ground
And a little bit of chicken fried
Cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most
Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes
There's no dollar sign on a peace of mind, this I've come to know
So if you agree have a drink with me
Raise your glasses for a toast
To a little bit of chicken fried
And cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
I thank God for my life
And for the stars and stripes
May freedom forever fly, let it ring
Salute the ones who died
The ones that give their lives so we don't have to sacrifice
All the things we love
Like our chicken fried
And cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love
Get your little chicken fried
And cold beer on a Friday night
A pair of jeans that fit just right
And the radio up
I like to see the sunrise
See the love in my woman's eyes
Feel the touch of a precious child
And know a mother's love

This song is insufferable. Thanking the veterans for protecting our right to eat fried foods and wear jeans is like beyond a parody of post 9/11 country music.
About 6 or 7 years ago, a local solider from here, in North East Ohio, was killed in action over in Iraq. This was his favorite song, so his brother called into the morning show (Rover's Morning Glory) 100.7 WMMS, a rock station, and asked if they would play this song to honor him. The next morning they played the song over and over for the entire duration of show, (over 4 hours) only stopping to take calls from people sharing stories of loved ones fighting in the military, and honoring this young solider who lost his life. It was very moving.

My daddy dedicated his life for 20 years on paper to the military, but it never leaves. And doesnt just end at the retirement. Years later, he is still battling ptsd and acclimate to civilian living. I'll be completely honest, I used to not be a big fan of this song. But recently my life has taken a huge change in course. I enlisted in the military, and three months ago I was living with my family and the love of my life, but today here I am with sand under my boots and haven't felt the warmth of my woman's hugs since the day I stepped into the bus. this lifestyle makes you see things much differently, and you begin to see the significance of the little things you used to have. the message in this song stands out to me and brings tears to my eyes and a smile to my face every time I hear it now, because everything in it is something I miss greatly. being there for my mama my woman and my little brother every day was taken for granted, but I know this is best. God bless you all, and I hope you have a great day. Make the most out of everything, no matter how small it may seem.

"It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most. No matter where you live what you drive or the price tag on your clothes" these lines really do speak facts that money doesn't buy happiness .
The little things around you and the people around you and even what you put into this world and into other peoples lives is what builds you and breaks you. If all this stuff and the people around us where totally different, we would be complete strangers to who we are now. You are never defined as one single person in life. To an extent you really make yourself and the things around you do in every stage of life, even just everyday. Its very important to realize this and acknowledge it to better yourself, at least for me it is.

When I consider how my light is spent
Ere half my days in this dark world and wide,
And that one talent which is death to hide
Lodg'd with me useless, though my soul more bent
To serve therewith my Maker, and present
My true account, lest he returning chide;
"Doth God exact day-labour, light denied?"
I fondly ask. But Patience to prevent
That murmur, soon replies: "God doth not need
Either man's work or his own gifts; who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state
Is kingly. Thousands at his bidding speed
And post o'er land and ocean without rest:
They also serve who only stand and wait."

You are half right, there are far too many corrupt politicians in America (and lately, it seems the entire world).
But there are indeed malicious countries that want to destroy all free nations, such as Iran. They've already messed Sweeden, Britian, Garmsny and many other countries.
They come in under the guide of refugees then establish sharia law and take over. It is only a matter of time till it happens here in America as well.

eli Miller because so much of it is based off sad stuff or love when you listen to the lyrics, sure the love stuff is great if you’re in a relationship but otherwise it’s ass. And something about the typical country voice just induced sadness for me for some reason. Like it’s a conditioned response.
Anyone else suddenly feel like going to Applebee's?
And invading Ukraine?
😬 lol

This song will forever remind me of Fort Hood, it was the first song they played on the speakers for PT every morning. To my brothers and sisters still in uniform this ones for you ❤ 🇺🇸
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice to meet you here.
I love this song…I’m an Army Veteran served in Desert Storm. Did basic training in Ft. Jackson South Carolina. Was also stationed on Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah Georgia. Also traveled to Florida and Alabama.I always tell people about the southern hospitality. It’s amazing. The south showed me love. This song reminds me of those times in the Army. It just played on one of my playlists so here I am just sharing an experience. Great song about the overlooked simple things in life.
Thank you for your service sir
@@nativesonya1865 thank you I really appreciate it!!!
Thank you for your service!🇺🇸
I’m an army vet and I hate this song and I like country music
God Damn it Applebees...
Bad timing there.
And hello from Twitter
Hey, I was in the hospital in August and everywhere I turned was that damn "fancy like Applebees" commercial.
I can't believe this is the official theme of WWIII!
sponsered by Applebee's
Still here in 2024?

Hello, how are you doing today? Nice to meet you here.
I'm French and this is the favorite song of my American best friend. You can't be more American than him. God bless usa 🇫🇷🇺🇸
Greetings from your nabor germany! Your god damm right Brother!
I'm American and I like you like this song don't matter wich nation you form
God bless everyone
Not to sound racist but I'm a 38 year old black male that grew up in urban neighborhood ( the ghetto)😁 listening to hip hop rap r&b this is one of the three country songs that made me fall in love with country music the other two are "buy me a boat"and "people are crazy" classics great music I never knew 🤷🏾♂️💯💯
black culture is tied to southern tradition in many ways. more than people think.
nothing racist about finding more music to like. Life is too short for that R word. we like what we like and find new stuff all the time. cool you like it. there's a ton of good music you've opened a door to.
Music has no skin color. If you love it you love it. My mom brought me up exclusively on Christian music. I couldn't listen to anything else until I got my own radio in high school. Still love christian, but I like listening to other songs too. Your not racist, YOUR A MUSIC LOVER LIKE THE REST OF THE WORLD!😊😊😊

It does actually@@andreablanchard3256
My dad was in the military and this song played...now forever my favorite song ❤
Make freedom forever fly. ❤
Hello, how are you today? Nice to meet you here.
I’m from Scotland but my brother lived in America whenever this came on a always reminded me off him and made me happy
Here is another good beer song, Equal Opportunity Drinker th-cam.com/video/0OZqARq6kEg/w-d-xo.html
Country and bluegrass music have roots in Scotland
Listening to this makes me feel both patriotic and hungry.

Thank you Zaç Brown and your band for this song! Of course my fav verse is the one dedicated to the stars & stripes and our war dead. This is Memorial weekend 2024 and i still love this song and Zac Brown Band. Forget about Bud Light and think about these lyrics.
Hello, how are you today? It’s nice to meet you here.
Awesome tribute, great song, freedom isn't free, it's paid for in lives and blood, from an Aussie Iraq veteran, thanks for your service and sacrifice,we done the best we could.....👍✌️ 4:32
listening while being isolated really makes you realize not all freedoms are free
Right
Unfortunately noone is free
It’s not a good time but America is staying strong where my dad lives they are under marshal law and have designated times on designated days they can go out I see in America protests being allowed to happen against your own president people stay isolated out of courtesy but you chose to stay home your free but your smart
Marshall law, this is AMERICA don't let anyone dictate your life. Be reasonable, live your lives

Met Zac in a bar in Atlanta - wrote this song with him YEARS before he took off. Proud to have been a part of the ride :)
Sure ya did pal. Sure ya did. What I think is you got a little *too* drunk in that Atlanta bar and you imagined him. But if it is true, damn bro that’s interesting and quite cool.
God bless you man and congrats on the song it is my most favorite song of all time
@@jordonmarquette3727 Thanks brother!

I know who you are.... Loved hearing you all play back then and dancing to the music.
