    Still one of my favorite moments from the reunification was how Vulkan addressed the survivors:
    "The survivors of the Terran XVIIIth knelt immediately, it is said, before their Primarch, but Vulkan bid them rise, saying that all his sons were equals and he was no petty king needing shows of obedience. Instead, it was he who knelt in honour of the lives they had saved and the price they had paid."

    If Angron (spelling) had never had the nails; Angron and Vulcan would have been two of the great Brother pairs.

      That's a really unexpected idea and I love it. You're right. He stood up to his oppressors and led a slave rebellion. Definitely something Vulkan would support.

      @@yuliydubovyk3080 I tend to disagree here. Many/ most Primarchs showed this kind of loyalty and consideration for their human brothers in arms. Many led revolts and overcame oppressors. So, in this regard Angron isn't really an exception of the rule.
      The Butcher's Nails are a game-changer; so we'll probably never know which aspect of the Emperor Angron was meant to reflect (certainly not "constant rage because of partial lobotomy).

    Vulcan, out of all of the Emperor's sons, was the apotheosis of virtue, empathy and selflessness. He was the consummate " human being" encapsulated within a Demigod. Like Magnus in desperate search for his shard that made him pure and virtuous. I believe THIS ,is why the Emperor valued Vulcan so dearly. Because VULCAN represents the pure magnanimity and altruistic nature of the Emperor. Viva Vulcan !!! Viva the Salamanders!!! Viva Nocturne!!!!!

    • @soffren
      @soffren 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree. I also think this is why Vulkan was also the Emperor's actual favorite son. If you're a fan of the "human emperor" interpretation, then it makes sense for him to like some of his sons who take after him the most to be his favorite. I feel like Vulkan, Lionel Johnson, and Sanguineous were his special boys.

    I think it's because Vulkan is a perpetual. The reason why the Emperor took Vulkan under his wing more than any of his power sons. And he wasn't an asshole. He was legitimately a good person. Maybe a too good for his own good initially

    When Vulkan is reunited with the legion, the way they reacted was truly touched with humanity, a dying legionnaire asks if that is their Primarch and father? Satisfied to have seen him and been reunited with him. That and Vulkan asking if his Nocturne recruits still thought the legion suicidal? All doubt of such a trait had disappeared.

    A while ago I was looking through some of your older videos and I saw a very interesting comment.
    It was talking about every Primarch having a “god soul” in them.
    We know that the Warp amplifies belief and makes it real. Look at the Orks.
    Therefore, all human mythology and deities that were truly believed in DID exist but only when they were believed in. However, they all faded when human belief was not strong enough to sustain them.
    This comment claimed that when the Emperor and Malcador were creating the Primarchs, they took the souls from twenty faded mythological figures and combined it with a shard of the Emperor’s own soul.
    Therefore, every Primarch is somewhat of a reincarnation of a folklore figure or deity from Earth’s past - to an extent.
    I don’t actually know if you’ve done a video on this before, but it’s an interesting topic.
    If not, could you consider doing one?

    Vulkan was also the only primarch capable of making the dead man’s switch for the golden throne. Being an actual immortal was probably quite the bonus too, he could be the last (very much is currently in the siege of terra) man standing. Like Ferrus, Vulkan has the ability to craft incredible weapons that few could ever match. Imagine how much the emperor “learned” from a Being how is inherently a master smith?

    If Big E didn't take the time to mold Vulkan and make sure he was ready and Vulkan and the Terran legion met each other in the same exact circumstance, Vulkan wouldn't of given the order to hit the attack moon first. His own humanity would of told him to get to the surface as soon as possible to try and stop his Terran sons from taking more casualties, and the 18th probably would of been taken out to the last man (except Vulkan for obvious reasons). So Big E had to teach him some tactics, and mentally prepair him for the hard and smart decisions of war to insure that the reckless suicidal tendencies were rooted out and they could be more effective bulwarks for the common man.

    In one of The Raven Guard Novels, Corax goes to Terra for advice from The Emperor.
    If I remember correctly he stumbles across 20 chambers/dungeons that are meant for the Primarchs potentially as prisons or chambers for after the crusade.
    Stay with me on this one.
    Vulkan was one of the weird Primarch bunch made separately from the others.
    Alpha and the Wolves are also in this group.
    I believe that they would go on to have special roles.
    Wolves = Executioners
    Alpha = Secret Legion stuff and Doppleganger twin for safe measure
    Salamander = Gatekeepers and Gaolers
    Vulkan was perpetual.
    What better keeper/guard to keep eye on old Magnus on the Throne??
    I seriously believe the Emperor was gonna sideline 75% of the primarchs.
    Leman Russ was basically made not to deny him.
    Omegon proved that the Alpha Legion could do what ever the other legions could do but better.
    And Vulkan and the Salamanders would
    Make the perfect "Police"
    Force as they truly loved the people
    Of the imperium.
    Come on!! When the Salamanders are on Noctourne the are not held in a garrison as such, they go back to the villages/towns they are from and help.
