I always tell new moms, "Don't blink, you'll miss it!" My sister in law now knows exactly what I meant. My oldest is 24 now, and my youngest is 21. I was going through stuff in the garage the other day, and I found stuff that my kids made in kindergarten. It choked me up. I miss my little monsters!
About 20 guests this year for Thanksgiving. Turkey with all the trimmings, ham for those who insist. After meal crafts, cards, games, football, and naps.

My family and I are spending Thanksgiving at my dad’s. My mom died this past June and it feels weird saying dad’s house instead of parents’ house. We’re definitely going to feel her absence. It’s going to be harder also because my dad is already engaged and his fiancé’s stuff is taking up all the available space downstairs. So we’ll be mourning our mom’s absence as well as being reminded that our dad is already moving on.

I think one of my hardest moments was separating the twins when they started school! Both happy and sad 😢😊 now they’re 9 (nearly 10) it’s the best thing for them, they want to be independent of each other like any other siblings but it’s hard when they’ve been together all of their first few years and then they want to go in separate directions!
We decided to break tradition and have steak, baked potatoes, salad & cheese cake. My cancer meds make me feel sick most of the time. This should be quick and easy. Enjoy your family time! Sending ❤️ and big 🐻 hugs from north Ga!

I'm really excited to see your Christmas decorations this year, especially the tree. Recently you mentioned that Keiran has pretty much mastered his toys and his in need of some new ones that are more challenging. Have you come across anything for him yet, or are you waiting until after Christmas? I too will need to find new toys for my 2 year old son....don't know where to begin, plus don't want to buy expensive things.

No Thanksgiving preparation in Germany, but I started with the first bunch of Christmas cookies. 😆 We invited friends this afternoon for the kids cookies. Let's see how two toddlers and two infants manage to make them from scratch 😅 My family eats them till Christmas and my husbads family eats Stollen till Christmas and the cookies tillJanury 6th. 😂

We don’t celebrate Thanksgiving instead it’s our family fresh seafood day. I drive to Illwaco Washington from Vancouver WA, and get grip of fresh seafood. We make a gigantic pot of seafood stew and a pot of fresh clam chowder. My Gen Z daughter protested celebrating what Thanksgiving is really about.. it was a good excuse to make our favorite food and hang out with the family!
I held onto every moment and memory with my last baby because I knew from my first two he wouldn’t stay small for as long as I wanted. Y’all are busy busy. Hope your holiday turns out great. Love y’all bunches 💙🩷🩷💙🩷🐱

There is no patent on emotions. No recipe. They come in waves like the ocean on a still or stormy day, and no one can decide how you navigate those waves. I try to remember that every moment is a memory. You are always in the middle of a memory and sometimes they are bittersweet and joyful all at once. I'm 50 and my kids are 27 and 17 and I have a 15 month old grandson. I know exactly what you're talking about in terms of babies growing up so fast. It really is the blink of an eye. All three of your babies are lucky to have you as a Mommy. xo
All those lasts are really hard, my daughter is my last to finish primary school this year 😳 i cant believe how fast those years have gone! It flies!!! I can remember getting rid of the bassinet was really hard, then the cot, the clothes, then pre school, then starting school....now starting high school....the list is endless especially when its your definate last child! 🥹

Just an idea 😊…Maybe the bassinet can be used to also model the baby doll with your sewing creations and take your pictures; I think you did that before it looked realistic.

I don't have kids and unfortunately won't be having kids, but I kinda get it. It's like poof, newborn is now a year old. Now they're 5, 10 etc. My uncle, and aunt are coming over. My dad is doing his usual cool for an army ( dinner and desserts).
No one has the right to make you feel bad for their child dying! It is completely normal to feel sad when they start a new phase and get older. I can’t believe someone actually tried to make you feel guilty for having kids and they don’t. 😢.

The hardest thing for me was taking down the crib and moving my daughter to her big girl bed. Then going from preschool to kindergarten.
