Kudos to the writers, kudos to Gareth for his narration, and kudos to whoever researched this. It was great seeing Legends/EU as well as what Disney calls "canon". Great video about my favorite character of all time, who is also played by my favorite actor.
9:35 - Paraphrasing, the author.... “Luke Skywalker stood fast. He was so entuned with the insect collective that not even the Black Hole at the centre of the universe could have move him.”
Fans: we really like Mara Jade. Disney: then we have some good news for you. Fans: you're including Mara Jade in the new canon? Disney: oh... no. Not that. Fans: :(
NOTE to self: Change name to "Nobody" because I've seen TLJ at least 10 times, which is more than I can say since TROS was far worse and I've only seen that one once.
originally Lucas intended for all light sabres to be red for evil and blue for good, but practicallity ruined those plans....during the editing of the HOTH scenes in Empire, the blue light sabre was meshing badly with the blue of the sky....they filmed on blue screen (today they use green screens instead)....to fix the problem easily they changed his sabre to green...*POP THE CHAMPAIIGN*
In my head canon, it was Luuke in the sequels, which is why he is disillusioned and his robot hand is not left behind after he moves into the force. I think Luke employed Luuke at the new Jedi temple to redeem himself, but he nearly fell back to the dark side by killing Ben. That guy wasn't Luke.
If they had done the story right it could have been a respectful passing of the torch but Rey burying the lightsabers and taking the Skywalker name, just felt like Kathleen Kennedy cementing her power over this universe. Rey is her self insert. So it's saying she's the protagonist now and we should just forget the past ones. She's conquered them.
This had better be good. I know too much already; but let’s break cannon, cause legacy sucks. R.I.P. Jacen, Jaina, Lowbacca, and especially Ben Skywalker, Chewy, and Mara. Jaina may still be alive, but for me, that was twenty books ago.
None of that happened. Luke Skywalker is very basic, the only time he won a fight his dad let him win. Luke started a school after Endor and his first class of students were all wiped out in an accident when Luke had an irrational panic attack about his nephew. Luke then immediately retired and went into exile and hung out drinking blue milk from the teet.
Timothy Zahn's "Heir to the Empire" trilogy SHOULD have been the sequel trilogy. I would have no problem with a new cast if this could be made.

"What Disney calls canon" You know they own the IP right lol. They decide what's canon.
I'm not stupid, as you're implying. If you want to argue with someone, go find someone else. I'm not playing. Have the life you deserve.
The "Solo Twins", Jana and Jacen, and their cousin Cade Skywalker are what I loved about the legends works.
Thrown Trilogy is my favorite storyline of the EU.
Huh. Splinter of the Minds Eye was the only Star Wars book I’ve read. Ancient times

Nobody Watched The Last Jedi Twice anyway.

Disney abandoning Legends Luke is unforgivable!

Disney Luke isn’t my Luke
Cool story, bro
Glad a lot of the EU nonsense isn't canon anymore.
Never liked Luke
He's overrated, had everything handed to him, and has a very annoying personality
Tell your graphics team that “a lot” is two words.
