No car will ever compare to Tesla no matter how much a person hates it. Forget the look, i need reliability and safety for my family. Tesla has created that. I’ve had every car in the book and have always ended up stranded on the side of the road. The Model Y has delivered excellence.

reliability? of my five friends who own a tesla, each and every one of them have had their cars in the shop multiple times within first year of ownership. range suffers tremendously in cold conditions (we live in canada, so those are a constant about 7 months of the year). and performance? if 0-60 times are your sole idea of "performance", then sure, they can keep up with much more expensive exotic cars and in some cases (like the plaid) of course smoke them- but, you see, 0-60 times are but one metric when talking performance- handling is a whole other thing, and there is no shortage of internal combustion cars whose performance on that front put any tesla to shame. just objective fact. all that said, i'm looking to pick up a y performance, but am not too stoked about it- mostly just down to insane gas prices. having driven each of my friends tesla's, they just don't do it for me- i find them to have dull and unexciting driving experience beyond the novelty... yes, novelty... of the quick 0-60, which just makes you look like a tesla-douche.

@@whitebuffalo4904 how many tracks do you see where you can use that “performance” in everyday driving 0-60 is all that matters for performance cuz there aren’t race tracks with bendy curves on city streets. Usually just straight lines you can jump on it for 3 seconds. Of the 4 people I know with teslas 0 have had any major issues, but my 2022 f150 has so it’s kinda what happens with cars it’s all luck 🤷🏼‍♂️
Ohh and range issues in cold, ya that’s part of electric car issues. Does that make even for no oil changes, no transmission oil, 180 less moving parts, and if driven right no brake changes… I think so 🤷🏼‍♂️

No doubt about that... look at the issues Rivian R1T is having with its glass roof cracking, and its quite a common problem along with its tonneau cover and the list goes on. Rivian will take some time perfecting and ironing out MAJOR issues. I agree it has a beautiful interior and offers ventilated seats as well - so it has a ton of loaded features - but it will take time to get those things right - and I wonder if that will take it to another price point that is not comparable to Tesla Model Y.

Reliability? I owned model X, and it has to be the least reliable car I have owned. If you own Tesla, make sure to dump it before warranty expires. Has many good tech, but poorly built.

I just got my MYLR last month that looks just like this one in white. I love it! It was well worth the 11 month wait. Also, I paid a lot less since it was ordered it a year ago. Yay!

Wow! This is definitely one of the best looking All-electric cars on the roads today and I be praying that I will able to afford one of these electric cars like this someday. Overall, fantastic job and test drive bro.

I’m trading my Mach E in for a Model Y performance. In my opinion after spending a couple days with a model Y rental it doesn’t drive as nice as a Mach E and maybe even other EV’s but it’s reliable. I get the cosmetic disadvantages but what led me to my choice is range and charging. I will tell anyone switching to electric that Tesla is by far the best option. My mach E was rwd with 230 range however ford tells you to charge to 80% and I’m telling you I never got 230 except maybe twice. On average your looking at 180 to 190 plus when you talk about winter time it just wasn’t reliable. The Tesla charging network is just fabulous. It’s quick easy and reliable. Visually there are better options. But all new EV’s since being sold through dealers only are really not worth the price in my opinion. People will tell you they are but realistically there is no Tesla killer. Tesla holds the reigns still with Safety, range, price, charging and the ota software updates.

It’s red calipers because they are Brembo, I have this model. The vehicle is also lowered and has sports suspension. Heated windshield wipers, AMD Ryzen chip, sentry mode for security cameras, Tesla vision driving mode, carbon fiber spoiler, etc. The wheels are staggered also just like high-end sports cars. Please learn the correct specs and details before speaking on things you have no clue about. The dual-motor decal has a red underline that’s how you know it’s a Performance model. You did this from the last Tesla video you reviewed now again. Some advice for you please watch Raiti’s Rides or Redline Reviews on TH-cam and see how a professional maneuvers their videos.
Also, side note a Rivian R1T launch edition which is faster than the Tesla MYP is at $85k new compared to Tesla MYP's $69k huge difference in price. Tesla MYP is a dual motor while the Rivian R1T Launch is a Quad motor. So if you think about it it’s half the motors and only .5 seconds slower, not bad Tesla. Also, let’s not forget the entire fiasco of Rivian not honoring prices and individuals canceling initially cause they don’t lock in their prices. Only after many cancelations have Rivian considered keeping the original prices of their vehicles when all prices went up. Tesla is one of the only companies that will honor their locked price for customers. Rivian is a great EV brand but you are comparing a Pick Up to a medium-sized SUV. That’s like comparing a Hummer to a Lincoln Continental. Be realistic, be fair, and most importantly be logical.

Minimalistic review for a minimalist vehicle. Looks like they forgot to design the interior and for that price ? No drivers screen and only 2 driving modes - really. It looks like you have to go into the screen to change regen yes ? With the Kia EV6 which has its own issues you have paddle shifters that change the regen and are so incredibly convenient. I was using them like down shifting to work in traffic. Tesla looks like something made for computer geeks - go figure.
