@@Flegz1 still working on it. It’ll probably come out at some point this summer. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to work on it and I want it to be the best it can be when it’s released
I think there may be 3 extra waves, not 6. That would take the total number of tracks up to an even 120. It would also mean they could release one character with each remaining wave and fill in the gaps on the current board. And it would take the game up to the end of 2024, after which I'd imagine they will be planning the release of a new console in 2025. Was actually thinking about this the other day - the inclusion of Mario Circuit DS in wave 4 is bizarre considering there are hugely popular DS tracks such as Airship Fortress and Delfino Square. Really seems like something they wouldn't do unless they were trying to spread the content out a little.
We need every single track from Super Mario Kart to Mario Kart 7 added through the Booster Course Pass. It would make Mario Kart 8 the true ultimate Mario Kart celebrating the whole series.
I feel like the different variants of the SNES tracks don’t necessarily need to be added (like Mario circuits 1,2, and 4 since we already have 3) but I feel like the track design in Mario Kart 7 is some of the best in the series, and I’d love to see all those tracks added! Thanks for watching!!
I think they specified 1-6 because some people might have thought that the 48 courses were in total of both the base game and the booster course pass. I've learned from silksong not to get my hopes up and I think that's the best idea for here too
That’s a really good point. Still, I’m going to be hopeful! (I can never really help getting my hopes up about Nintendo stuff, even things I know are unlikely to near-impossible 😂) Thanks for watching!!
That would be sick! I’m not sure how the 1 new cup would fit into the cup selection screen, but an even 100 tracks would be nice. Also I’d love to see some new battle courses! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ My thoughts are if they did that maybe have one new screen that has just the one in the middle with maybe a bunch of cool Special stuff like showing all the trophies or characters all watching you select it
@@pokefanalex9504 It would probably be the Rainbow Cup with the final track being either Double Dash Rainbow Road, DS Rainbow Road, or Super Circuit Rainbow Road.
@@pokefanalex9504 perhaps have next to that final cup in the menu some more cups that are all the tour tracks in one cup or a rainbow road cup. Maybe soem backways cups would be interesting
@@tolstartheking what if it was the rainbow cup and it had all three of those plus a new nitro rainbow road at the end to finish the whole dlc off and the main dlc ends with Wii rainbow road so we have every rainbow road and two nitros in 8 deluxe
I just checked, and that’s not the case, though I just noticed it does say that on the ending screen in the blue circle! Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ it was one of those, I couldn't remember exactly this wasn't the first time they did this, but still, this video was good, and even made me think that maybe, it could happen. keep up the good work
Toad Circuit is another reason to cut Figure 8 Circuit, due to it being a strikingly similar layout, but with a wedge and some Mushroom shortcuts, wich makes the track the superior version of the two. And same for Wii Mario Circuit, wich is yet again a Figure 8 with a wedge and mushroom shortcuts
That makes a lot of sense. I really like Wii Mario circuit, so I hope it isn’t cut, but I could definitely see that being cut along with figure-8 circuit.
I would LOVE to see that added! I feel like that’s something that could be in the next Mario kart, but if it was added to 8DX that’d be sick! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_they should do it like CTR (crash team racing), where you race solo against the boss who has special unbalanced items to make things difficult.
They did this with the Mario Movie, right before they pushed the movie up to April 5th, the posters said "Only In Theaters April" instead of "Only In Theaters April 7th"
Some new battle tracks would be sick! As for the older waves not looking so great, I don’t really have that much of a problem with them anymore, but I’d appreciate some new textures. Thanks for watching!!
The other, and in my opinion more likely, explanation for why they added the “waves 1-6” in that logo was to show that there are other courses in MK8 besides the 48 in the booster course pass. There are 48 courses in vanilla MK8 Deluxe, plus another 48 in the DLC, so that’s what I think they’re getting at here. I don’t expect any more waves after this. Would love to be proven wrong though!
That’s a really good point. Like I said, more waves is definitely a long shot! I just had some fun speculating about them. Still, I’m hoping Nintendo does end up adding more courses as well! Thanks for watching!!
Oh I think its super likely well be getting more waves. I see zero reason for Nintendo to stop. If this is making them money I see it as something to focus on
I really hope there isn’t more than 6 waves. If they do add more, it will further cement itself as the “ultimate mario kart” pushing back Mario kart 9.
I feel like Mario kart 9 will need to be a sort of reboot of the franchise as it is, given how Nintendo just can’t conceivably top 8 deluxe, so I feel like a sort of “ultimate” Mario Kart is the best way to send off this era of the franchise. Thanks for watching!!
Same! I’m perfectly happy with MK8D being the switch’s main Mario Kart, and I’d love to see it get more content until the next console is announced, which will probably have the next Mario kart on it. Thanks for watching!!
Yeah, I don’t think we’re going to get more waves, but I’m so excited about the possibility of it because I REALLY want toad’s factory to be remade. Thanks for watching!!
I just noticed that because of another comment. It’s somewhat strange to me still that Nintendo decided to specify waves 1-6 in the beginning of the trailer for wave 4, given it only said that at the end of previous trailers. I guess we’ll just have to see what Nintendo decides to do! Thanks for watching!!
i honestly think this has a high % chance of happening because of the leaks of where the track is from and tour keeps adding tracks that probably wouldn’t make it to this dlc but a volume 2 of it, like you said with smash. I really hope that’s the case because id love to see dry dry ruins, toad’s factory and a snes bowser castle. Fingers crossed because this sounds interesting but im keeping my expectations low.
Yeah, one of the main reasons I decided to make this video is because some tracks have now been announced for tour (like dry dry ruins) that because of leaks for the current DLC wouldn’t make it into MK8D. I feel like it would make since for Nintendo to add more waves in order to get these tracks into the game. That’s just all speculation though! Thanks for watching!!
I would love to see that, there are a lot of course that are considered as fan favorites! I think that they really want to make MK8DX as the ultimate version on Switch and wait ‘til they announce another gen console
I fully agree! While it’s technically not a new game, 8DX has done so much to differentiate itself from the original MK8 that I’m happy with it being the switch’s main Mario kart and getting so much content before what I think to be an inevitable soft-reboot of the franchise. Thanks for watching!!
this would be so epic, and they DID change that graphic, quite a video worthy detail really! seems unlikely, but a fun speculation video, well done :) 👏👏
Only the American version of the trailer was updated to specify 6 waves. All other versions of the trailer stayed the same. I don't think another Booster Course Pass will happen. By the end of 2023, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe will have almost 5x more courses than Mario Kart: Super Circuit, the most in the series.
I never knew that was just in the American trailer, that’s really interesting to know! I personally don’t think it’s likely we’ll get more waves, which is partially why I said it was a long shot, but I have a lot of fun speculating about it! Thanks for watching!!
I love Mario Kart 7, so if they add more waves, I’d love to see tracks from it like Maka Wuku, Bowser’s Castle, Wario Shipyard and Rosalina’s ice world return. Honey Queen would be a good addition too, since she’s the only MK7 character missing from MK8.
It would be super cool to see some waves with battle courses! Especially since the limited amount of battle courses in 8DX have already gotten a bit stale. Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ It also makes sense, mario kart wii for example has 32 race tracks and 8 battle tracks, now we have 3x the race tracks but still only 8 battle ones. Maybe 8 or even 16 nitro battle courses could be cool and maybe 6 additional characters to the ones already confirmed
That would be super cool! I would hope the layouts are changed a bit, since there aren’t many shortcuts in those tracks and there are a lot of straightaways, but overall I’d love the arcade tracks to make a return! Thanks for watching!!
Theory: 1. We'll be getting 3 more waves. I know this is a Random shot in the Dark but hear me out. 3 More Waves mean 6 more cups, 6 more cups mean 24 courses. NOW: In the 3D Mario Series for example in the base 3D Mario Games that means: -SM64 -SMS -SMG1 To beat these games 100% you needed to collect 120 stars/shines (not including the SMG1 Green Star, Bonus Stars) Now if we calculate 96 Tracks with 24 Tracks it will equal 120!! So, why leave this big oppurtunity begun with a number, that wrote so much History in the Mario Universe? It would be a waste of an oppurtunity. 2. The MK8DX's Cup outlines. The Base Game Cups have a Golden Outline. The BCP Cups have a Silver Outline. So, why dont make the BCP Vol.2 Cup Outline Bronze or maybe Diamond? 3. The Cup Images Nintendo has akways used Item as Cup Images. But a very Important Item hasnt been used as a Cup Logo yet. The Crazy Eight. We all know, that MK8DX will probably be the Definitive Mario Kart l, because Nintendo will not top MK8DX if they'll do a MK9/10. That would mean, that the new MK will flop due to why buy the newest version when the older version is way better? Because of that 8 think, that the Crazy Eight should be the final cup of MK8DX because it would be a better fitting ending for the MK8DX series. I MEAN IT'S THE 8. 4. Enough place Nintendo can easily develop a new screen for the BCP Vol.2 tracks. Maybe a Golden Background? 👀 5. There are still retro tracks left for the Future of MK. If we would get an another BCP with 3 additional Waves there Would still be around 24 or more Retro Tracks left to pick from for MK9/10. Conclusion: There is always a possibilty. I mean Smash Bros. had a Fighter Pass Vol.2, so why cant MK8DX have the same treatment?
A possible way I could see Nintendo completely changing up the Mario Kart formula is bringing back the two drivers mechanic from Double Dash and if done right, it could become more successful than MK8D even with the BCP.
I’d love to see a double dash mode be added! I feel like it should probably be optional to enable, but it would be super cool to see nonetheless! Thanks for watching!!
I would love to see 48 more courses in 8 deluxe but what i also want is that the graphics of the dlc will be uptaded to the ones used in base 8. I know this is a topic that has been forgotten for a long time ajd no one talks about it anymore but it would still be great becaus you have tracks like rive side park that has amezing graphics and then you have Amsterdam drift that doesn't really look that nice. I still like the dlc but it would be nice little change to make the game look better.
Yeah, overall I think Nintendo is making the DLC tracks look a lot better, but the consistency within each wave with the graphics isn’t really there. I hope in waves 5 & 6 the all the tracks look on par with the base game, but at the very least the gameplay and music of most of the tracks have still been phenomenal, even if the graphics weren’t. Thanks for watching!!
My Guess is we will get a Booster Course Pass 2 for Retros. "no Tour tracks" they can be ported from Tour i dont care about that but i want Retros Not Tour citys. "for the wii course i think Moonview Highway should be kept and Luigi Circuit (Wii) Should be cut instead".
Exactly! And we don’t know how many tracks are still in development for tour that haven’t been revealed yet, so it’s definitely possible! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ i’m not counting on new city tracks or new nitros being added to tour after this year… but new retro tracks and new battle tracks (maybe even nitros) will definitely keep being added
If there was 6 mor waves this could have all rainbow roads and bowsers castles debut in the one game (except for the obvious multiple from 1 game) both the base and bcp are really lacking boesers castles and we need a good bunch
What I think happened is that the graphic that says "Waves 1-6" was an alternative that got scrapped in favor of the one that says "Booster Course" because of the very reason it implies there's more to come. I think they used the old graphic by accident.
I hope that's not the case and we do get more waves, but that would make a lot of sense. I guess we'll just have to wait until the wave 5 trailer to see if it was actually an accident. Thanks for watching!!
Honestly I don't think Mushroom City and Moonview Highway has many problems to get in because they are too similar to Tour tracks We already have many similar tracks between themselves and other ones like GBA Yoshi Desert are pretty similar to GCN Dry Dry Desert or Wii Dry Dry Ruins
That’s a good point. Hopefully they do end up getting in, because they’re great tracks! I just don’t see them getting in as very likely. Thanks for watching!!
Yeah, that and lakeside park could probably be cut. (Though I really want lakeside remade tbh because I’d love to see the music done in MK8’s style) Thanks for watching!!
This might sound weird but maybe for Wave 7-12, we should get all nitros, it might sound hard but could be cool and good for the next mario kart entry to know what to add retrowise
I don’t think those would take extra track spots, but it would be super cool if there was a toggle for tracks like in smash bros when you can choose between the normal, battlefield, and omega versions of a stage, but instead it would be for reverse, trick, or reverse trick! Thanks for watching!!
Just... NO. I think Nintendo should be making an entirely new Mario Kart, hard reboot or not. They can't milk 8 Deluxe forever. Imagine -- in 2025 or something, we'd be playing the SAME game from all the way back in 2014! They have to end SOMEWHERE, otherwise they'd run out of Retro Tracks to put into an ACTUAL new entry in the series.
That is a good point, but I feel like the next entry in the series will be on the next Nintendo console. This means either way we’ll probably still be playing the same Mario kart in 2025 as we were in 2014. Trust me when I say I REALLY want the next Mario kart, but I just don’t think it’s coming that soon. And because I think a soft reboot is necessary, it makes sense to me for Nintendo to make 8DX a sort of “Mario Kart Ultimate”, and I think retros could be in consecutive games, so it’s not like Nintendo will “run out” of them. I could be completely wrong though! Thanks for watching!!
I know right! Less than a dollar per course is an absolutely insane deal! I’d be happy to pay another $25 if there was a “volume 2” to the booster course pass as well! Thanks for watching!!
I completely agree! At this point, I feel like the most we’d get is an additional cup to give the game 100 tracks, but even then there are some tour courses that I’d love to see included in that! Thanks for watching!!
If we get 48+ tracks again I think we should get more n64 and ds tracks as I feel we are lacking loads of good ones in the bcp which could have been added such as n64 bowser Castle, n64 dk jungle parkway, ds airship fortress and ds delfino Square
I definitely could see Luigi circuit being cut, but I honestly really like Wii Mario circuit. I definitely prefer moonview over both of them, but I just feel it’s too similar to the tour city tracks. Thanks for watching!!
I could see it bring possible 24-48 more tracks to get all the tour tracks and fan favorites in plus a extra row of characters to make it a even grid hopfully a few kart parts items and battle tracks aswell also the last wave of the second pass should becthe super horn and crazy 8 thr super horn because its the only thing stronger than the spiny shell and the crazy 8 because its mario kart 8 They would aldo hopefully include gcn rainbow road and n64 bowser castle as the final tracks And maybe a few more chsnges ti how the game works to improve on it like they have done so far
I would love to have every remaining rainbow road gba - ds/Wii (if it's not the 2nd remaining Wii track) and browser's castle and Mario circuit/Raceway just to celebrate the only three constant themes in the series.
While I agree that smash could definitely see a soft reboot for its next entry, I think Mario Kart still has potential to be squeezed out of it with track design and new mechanics. I think more DLC waves would be neat, but I’d rather a new game first on a more powerful console. You could save the ‘ultimate’ factor with most of the tracks returning for a system that would allow for an overhaul on all the tracks’ visuals. Also, personally I think Mushroom City is a more interesting track than bridge. It would be the only city track from a fictional city, which I think is enough to make it stand out on its own.
Yeah, I guess we’ll just have to see what Nintendo does with the franchise! Also, I’d be happy with either mushroom bridge or city, since they share the same amazing music! Thanks for watching!!
Great picks! At this point, I think I was wrong about the additional waves since nothing was announced after wave 6, but hopefully those tracks are in the next Mario kart! I would love to see what one of the wuhu tracks would look like with higher graphical quality. Thanks for watching!!
I think the last 2 wii tracks will be Koopa Cape and Rainbow Road, so i would love to see Toad's Factory and maybe Dry Dry Ruins if there's extra tracks. Also Wario Shipyard and one of the Wuhu tracks from 7.
YES DEFINITELY TOAD’S FACTORY!! *ahem Toad’s factory is one of my favorite courses of all time! I absolutely love the music and track design as a whole, and I REALLY want it to get remade, especially if the music is done in MK8’s style! Thanks for watching!!
It is definitely a possibility, however, we will have to wait and see until these latest two waves are revealed to see if they give us anything else. I am staying WAY LOW on my expectations
Yeah same. I don’t think there’s a high a chance of more waves, but I love to speculate about it and I think it would be super cool if they added them. Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_: For sure! I hope we get Daisy Cruiser and Dino Dino Jungle in the final waves. I also hope they add Pauline, Diddy Kong, and Funky Kong as playable characters
@GameBlock But yeah I’ve got admitted that I’ll be down If there’s even More Multiple waves In Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8: Deluxe Waves 1-6 but I’m still positive they’ll support the Nintendo and Mario Community ❤️💙💛💚 But, Nah I’m thinking that I will be good with Wave 1-6 + the Next Mario Entry will be succeeding for Mario Kart Reboot or the Long-awaited MK9 for Nintendo Switch 2 just like how we’ve got Smash Ultimate Fighter Pass Vol. 1 and Volume 2 well, I’ve have a blast 💥 enjoying talking about MK8 Deluxe Discussion / speculation. I’m biggest *Gamer* 🎮 fan!!! as Nintendo ❤️ / Sony’s PlayStation 💙 and Microsoft’s 💚 Xbox.
if there would be another 6 waves, I would cut out GBA bowser castle and replace it with moonview highway. I personally feel like GBA bowser castle is more similar to bowser castle tracks than moonview highway with city tracks.
That does make a lot of sense. I feel if the GBA one got some elevation changes and the SNES one didn’t, I think it would be justified in not being cut, but otherwise not. Also, I recently realized because of some comments that GBA broken pier could get cut because of how similar it is to boo lake, so moonview could take that spot! Thanks for watching!!
Honestly, I’m not sure. Yes, it would be impressive to increase the track total to 144, a number only achieved via Rom hacking, but on the other hand, they’ll have to reboot the franchise if they want to keep it going, use Unreal Engine 4 or 5, figure something out, all of that. And if we do get some final details, they also need to add alternate costumes, new Kart parts, two of which I’m including the Wild Wing, and Sprinter or B Dasher Mk. 2 from Wii, and also more battle stages to bring the total to a possible 16! Or if they add 4 more after, 20!
Honestly, I feel with 96 courses Nintendo will basically have to reboot the franchise anyway, so I think it’s reasonable to speculate they’ll go all out. Some new costumes and kart parts would be sick as well! Thanks for watching!!
To be fair, it’s not THAT much of a long shot. Sure it’s a lot of work but they’ve gotten so much hubbub and money from the booster course pass that it’s not unreasonable to say that they’d want to keep this money train going.
If we do get more waves, I’m thinking we’ll only get 3 more. That way, most of the hood tracks are in, without having to add any iffy ones *cough cough Vanilla Lake cough
I don't think that there will be future waves. Because I think that the new switch console will release around Christmas. And I think there will a new mario kart in 2024
While I definitely think it’s possible there’s a new console at the end of this year, I feel like next year or maybe even 2025 is more likely, so I think it makes sense to keep giving the switch’s main mario kart game more content until the next console with the next game. I could be wrong though! Thanks for watching!!
What if Nintendo decides to release a course builder DLC where you get to build your own courses and share them online along with Booster Course Pass 2...
That would be SO cool! A course maker would add so much to the game! I think that would probably be released separately as a “Mario Kart Maker” game, but it would. Be awesome if it was included in 8DX instead! Thanks for watching!!
That’s what I would’ve thought at first as well, but given how many changes the tracks in the later waves have had from their tour variants, I think it’s possible some elevation is added to the GBA bowser castle tracks! Thanks for watching!!
Another full 48 tracks sound just too good to be true... but technically, it's not impossible. There is enough material for that (especially if they still add nitros) Really, the biggest thing against it, imo, is just how old the game and the switch itself is... 2 more years of DLC this late into its lifespan... could technically happen, but it's difficult
If that were the case,I think that some new tracks would be super sick, especially since there are other tracks that could be cut honestly. I'm talking mainly about raceaways and circuits;I mean,we would have another 4 Mario Circuits,4 Luigi Circuits,1 Peach Circuit and 1 Daisy Circuit. That's way too much,so there would need to be even more cutting. -N64 Luigi Raceaway is a worse GCN Luigi Circuit,so that would be cut,GBA Luigi Circuit can stay because it's based and is unique -GBA Peach Circuit is lame -GCN Mario Circuit and WII Mario Circuit are literally the same,so one would be cut; while i have nostalgia for the GCN one,I think realistically Nintendo would pick WII Mario Circuit -WII Luigi Circuit is also lame and it's a worse GCN Luigi Circuit(again) -3DS Mario Circuit is too similiar to the DS one that we already have,so that's another cut In total we would have 28 cut tracks, but that's not it. -N64 Frappe Snowland would have an aesthetic too similiar to the one of GCN Sherbet Land, but to be fair N64 Sherbet Land is also pretty bland, but one of them should be cut -N64 DK's Jungle Parkaway is too similiar to GBA Riverside Park -N64 Wario Stadium is too similiar to DS Wario Stadium(I mean they have the same name too) -GBA Lakeside Park and GBA Broken Pier would be cut since they are too similiar to Riverside and Boo Lake, who are already in the 1st half of the pass -GBA Shy Guy Beach and GCN Peach Beach would definetely be cut in favor of GBA Cheep Cheep Island and GCN Daisy Cruiser -3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon and DS Desert Hills are lame -One of the Wuhu tracks would be cut in favor of the other,so we would probably get Maka Wuhu -Ok,I know we have a serious lack of Bowser Castles, but GCN and WII are way too similiar to be in the same game,so one of them would be cut In total we have 39 tracks that would not make the cut, that could be replaced with new tracks,or maybe tracks from the arcade games. Koopa Troopa Beach and Banshee Boardwalk could also be added to the list, but I think that they're just different enough compared to Koopa Beach 2 and Boo Lake that they could make it.
I feel like a lot of those courses definitely could be cut, and it’d be super cool to see some more new tracks! I will say that I think the GCN and Wii Mario Circuits/Bowser’s castles aren’t too similar to one another, but I could definitely still see one being cut over the other. Also I completely forgot about broken pier and lakeside park, so those could for sure take some of the cut spots. (Though I really do want lakeside to be remade just for the music to be brought back in MK8’s style) Thanks for watching!!
I wouldn’t see them taking out 3DS Mario Circuit due to that being in Tour and it’s way different from DS Mario Circuit. N64 Luigi Raceway can stay removed.
If this happened, I would lose it if they cut moonview highway and mushroom city for something pathetic like another mario circuit. I love those two courses with my heart, and I’d at least take mushroom cities unique mechanic back, where you could just choose your route. Like yoshi valley.
I feel like Mario Kart 9 will be on the next console, but we don’t know when that comes out, so I suppose whether we get more waves or not partially depends on that console’s release time. Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ Yeah that would be cool. What I want them to do is finish the BCP, and then release Mario Kart Ultimate for the next console. I think they've been working on MKU for a long time. I think that is the reason why they just ported MK8 to the switch and released the BCP, so they could have more time to perfect the game. After MKU tho, I would want them to change up the series into Nintendo Kart
If they do add more waves, I would prefer they be Battle Courses instead of more regular courses And unlike regular courses, they can definitely add way more than double the alerady existing number of battle courses, being a pitiful 10
It would be so cool to have more battle courses! I absolutely love 8DX’s battle mode, but the small selection of courses does definitely make it get a bit stale after awhile. Thanks for watching!!
I don't think Game Boy advance courses are going to deconfirm Super Nintendo courses. I think only courses from the same game with deconfirm other courses from the 6 game. So if you got boo Valley two you're not getting boo Valley one
That would make sense, though I feel like tracks that are so similar wouldn’t be in the same game unless literally every old track was added. Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ I feel like they'll make whatever they can get away with. Unless there's a big push to make a bunch of Nitro Courses, I don't expect them to be... hm, Lazy is a strong word and gets thrown around a lot but we did get Wave 1
That means a lot! His content is amazing and to get compared to him is a great compliment! I’d love to do a collab with him at some point, but that’ll probably be when I have a larger subscriber count since I’m a pretty small channel now. Thanks for watching!!
Honestly at this point I feel like on the next console they should just rerelease Mario kart 8 deluxe with all the dlc and then add new dlc like a few months later with 16 nitros and 16 retros, like it’s not a great idea to just ditch 8 at this point cause every Mario kart game will seem worse cause they don’t have as much stuff
I feel like as long as the gameplay is changed somewhat and is a soft-reboot of the franchise, the next Mario Kart doesn’t need as many tracks to be better than 8DX. I feel like there definitely needs to be a new Mario kart on the next console though. Thanks for watching!!
As long as they add Dixie to the game idc what they do after that as Dixie would turn the game into a masterpiece. But I do think it's possible although it would be a 2nd pass not the same pass.
Dixie would make a great character, and since she’s already in tour it’s very possible she’s added! Also, I agree more waves would be part of a 2nd pass. Thanks for watching!!
Honestly I hope not. Though my dream wish for the end of the dlc is that they release a new mode with the last wave: a track builder so that the game will be endless and the definitive Mario kart
A track builder would be amazing! I think that would probably be a separate game in the future, but I'd love to see that feature added to MK8D instead! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ honestly I'd buy it as a separate game or dlc in a heartbeat, cuz it can be more flashed out. They dabbled in it for the Mario kart live toy but imagine that in a traditional Mario kart! I'd go Ballistic
Do you think we're getting a part two of the Booster Course Pass?
I think we're getting part two.
Random question: has the Discord server been created yet or you still working on it?
@@Flegz1 still working on it. It’ll probably come out at some point this summer. I haven’t had a whole lot of time to work on it and I want it to be the best it can be when it’s released
Possibly. There are still many more tracks in Tour or datamined such as Yoshi Desert, Ghost Valley 3 and Delfino Square.
I think yes. Hoping they will put gcn rainbow road, alongside Tiny kong
That would make a lot of since, especially your point about the DS tracks! Thanks for watching!!
Add more waves , then more retro tracks are included in the pass
We need every single track from Super Mario Kart to Mario Kart 7 added through the Booster Course Pass. It would make Mario Kart 8 the true ultimate Mario Kart celebrating the whole series.
I feel like the different variants of the SNES tracks don’t necessarily need to be added (like Mario circuits 1,2, and 4 since we already have 3) but I feel like the track design in Mario Kart 7 is some of the best in the series, and I’d love to see all those tracks added! Thanks for watching!!
Wario Shipyard and Maka Wuhu are the two courses from 7 that I really want.
That would be awesome!!!!!
That would be the ultimate track selection
That will never happened.
My guess is we’ll get one more wave - a final cup to make the racetracks an even 100, and then either 4 or 8 new battle courses.

I don't mind more waves in the BCP, but I'm good with a total of 48 courses in 6 waves.
That’s pretty much exactly how I feel as well. I’d love more waves, but 96 courses total in MK8D is more than enough for me. Thanks for watching!!
How about some Battle Courses from priore games, and some new ones like the Tour New York course
Some new battle tracks would be sick! Thanks for watching!!
you realize that in the announcement trailer in the February 2022 direct used the "waves 1-6" thing in the red circle
I just checked, and that’s not the case, though I just noticed it does say that on the ending screen in the blue circle! Thanks for letting me know, and thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ it was one of those, I couldn't remember exactly
this wasn't the first time they did this,
but still, this video was good, and even made me think that maybe, it could happen.
keep up the good work
Toad Circuit is another reason to cut Figure 8 Circuit, due to it being a strikingly similar layout, but with a wedge and some Mushroom shortcuts, wich makes the track the superior version of the two.
I think it’d be cool if they made something like a story mode where you have to race through every track and have boss battles and stuff
2 things
1: I'd be happy if this happened, this means more Mario kart content
2: Mario kart 9 is practically a myth if this happened
Yeah, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is at this point the game that’ll never die 😂 Thanks for watching!!
Mario Kart 9 is technically Mario Kart Tour, but MK9 won't be out soon... Right now they are focusing on MK8D and MKT content.
8:19 this didn’t age well, because moon view highway is coming to 8 deluxe in the next wave!
They did this with the Mario Movie, right before they pushed the movie up to April 5th, the posters said "Only In Theaters April" instead of "Only In Theaters April 7th"
That’s a great point! Thanks for watching!!
Before the volume 2 they really need to fix the wave 1 that looks horrible next to wave 4. And they better add new/old battle tracks and new karts too
Some new battle tracks would be sick!
Not me looking at the title and misunderstanding it just thinking “oh damn imagine if they released waves 5 and 6 that’d be crazy”
Sorry if I made the title a bit unclear, I honestly thought exactly this might happen when I was naming the video 😂 Thanks for watching!!
Oh I think its super likely well be getting more waves. I see zero reason for Nintendo to stop. If this is making them money I see it as something to focus on
That’s a great point! More tracks would probably make Nintendo a LOT of money! Thanks for watching!!
Thanks for watching!!
we dont need mario kart 9, and besides; if nintendo was even THINKING about mario kart 9, we wouldnt have gotten 48 new tracks for MK8D
I think that more waves are coming! If they come the wave 7 and more will only have brand new tracks and one retro track per cup so two retro tracks!
I feel like if there were more waves they’d mostly be retros, but some new tracks would be amazing! Thanks for watching!!
I’m having so much fun with Mario kart 8 deluxe that I honestly would love if they kept giving us dlc for this game
Same! I’m perfectly happy with MK8D being the switch’s main Mario Kart, and I’d love to see it get more content until the next console is announced, which will probably have the next Mario kart on it. Thanks for watching!!
Tbf I’d like more tracks but I’m not confident on it. Although I do want it too so we can finally get Airship Fortress
Yeah, I don’t think we’re going to get more waves, but I’m so excited about the possibility of it because I REALLY want toad’s factory to be remade. Thanks for watching!!
And the wuhu island tracks
Surprisingly, this same text was in the BCP announcement trailer too, so I’m not too sure they will add more! You never know
I just noticed that because of another comment.
Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!!
I'd love to see some more MK7 tracks! In my opinion, that game had some of the best track design in the series! Thanks for watching!!
We might get like 1 or 2 more waves with battle courses and characters but I doubt we'll get even more tracks
@@ReintGerts Didn’t Mario Kart Wii have 10 battle tracks?

@@ReintGerts Okay.

Maybe tracks from the arcade games could be added to kind of fill in positions such as the tour tracks in the first pass?
That would be super cool! I would hope the layouts are changed a bit, since there aren’t many shortcuts in those tracks and there are a lot of straightaways, but overall I’d love the arcade tracks to make a return! Thanks for watching!!
Yeah those tracks are certainly fun in the arcades but they are a little linear in comparison to MK8 tracks that's all.
Theory:
1. We'll be getting 3 more waves.
I know this is a Random shot in the Dark but hear me out. 3 More Waves mean 6 more cups, 6 more cups mean 24 courses. NOW: In the 3D Mario Series for example in the base 3D Mario Games that means:
-SM64
-SMS
-SMG1
To beat these games 100% you needed to collect 120 stars/shines (not including the SMG1 Green Star, Bonus Stars)
Now if we calculate 96 Tracks with 24 Tracks it will equal 120!!
3. The Cup Images
Nintendo has akways used Item as Cup Images.
4. Enough place
Nintendo can easily develop a new screen for the BCP Vol.2 tracks. Maybe a Golden Background? 👀
5. There are still retro tracks left for the Future of MK.
If we would get an another BCP with 3 additional Waves there Would still be around 24 or more Retro Tracks left to pick from for MK9/10.
Conclusion:
There is always a possibilty. I mean Smash Bros. had a Fighter Pass Vol.2, so why cant MK8DX have the same treatment?
Those are all amazing points! It would be so cool to have a total of 120 courses! Thanks for watching!!
There's a problem: they have to redesign ALL of the vechiles to fit another character and that won't really work on a bike...
@@TheQuickGoodie I’ve seen a two person bike
Even if this isn't the case, I could live with "just" 96 racetracks. Most racing games are lucky to have even a fraction of that amount.
Yeah, I could definitely see Luigi Circuit being cut instead because of how simple its layout is. Thanks for watching!!
they could because tour still has a lot of tracks, battle tracks, characters and items that aren’t in mario kart 8
Exactly! And we don’t know how many tracks are still in development for tour that haven’t been revealed yet, so it’s definitely possible! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ i’m not counting on new city tracks or new nitros being added to tour after this year… but new retro tracks and new battle tracks (maybe even nitros) will definitely keep being added
recently this is more true then ever… too many good tracks in tour and not enough room in the booster course pass!!!
If there was 6 mor waves this could have all rainbow roads and bowsers castles debut in the one game (except for the obvious multiple from 1 game) both the base and bcp are really lacking boesers castles and we need a good bunch
I’d love to see all the bowser’s castles and rainbow roads in the same game! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ another 6 waves would be cool though, because you're right, Mario Kart 9 would not have the opportunity to have so many tracks.
I think an additional cup to round up the 100 tracks nicely isn't too far fetched
That would make a lot of sense! Thanks for watching!!
Honestly I don't think Mushroom City and Moonview Highway has many problems to get in because they are too similar to Tour tracks
We already have many similar tracks between themselves and other ones like GBA Yoshi Desert are pretty similar to GCN Dry Dry Desert or Wii Dry Dry Ruins
That’s a good point. Hopefully they do end up getting in, because they’re great tracks! I just don’t see them getting in as very likely. Thanks for watching!!
Maybe there will be 2 new waves and each wave contains like 4 battle courses
That would be sick! I’d love to see some more battle courses added, especially since there are so few in the base game! Thanks for watching!!
For example :
8 retro tracks + 4 battle courses for each wave
You forgot GBA Broken Pier from the cut courses, as it is very similar to Boo Lake.
I feel like that would be a lot to ask of Nintendo, but that would be amazing if it happened! Thanks for watching!!
Do you think they would start adding Trick, Reverse, or Trick Reverse courses from Tour to help pad out their selections?
I'm saying more are coming, not because of this, but because 8DX absolutely prints money.
That's a great point 😂 Nintendo is making a LOT of money off of this game. Thanks for watching!!
I hope they do !! There’s a lot of Gcn tracks I want to come to Mario kart 8
I fully agree! Double dash had so many great tracks that I think deserve a remake. Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ I hope they do make more or even wave 7 or 8 cause if u think about it there’s ALOT of tracks already in tour as well too
I just want everyone to remember this was only 25£

Great video!!! 🎉😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!!
I would 100% buy a second BCP!!! Tour still has so many courses that are worth porting over.

I think instead of moonview, they would cut either Wii Luigi or Mario Circuit

They would aldo hopefully include gcn rainbow road and n64 bowser castle as the final tracks
And maybe a few more chsnges ti how the game works to improve on it like they have done so far
Those would all be some amazing inclusions! Thanks for watching!!
I would love to have every remaining rainbow road gba - ds/Wii (if it's not the 2nd remaining Wii track) and browser's castle and Mario circuit/Raceway just to celebrate the only three constant themes in the series.
All the rainbow roads in one game would be amazing! Thanks for watching!!
Either of the Wuhu Island tracks or Ds Airship fortress, ( which should've got in instead of DS Mario circuit.) 😁
Great picks! At this point, I think I was wrong about the additional waves since nothing was announced after wave 6, but hopefully those tracks are in the next Mario kart! I would love to see what one of the wuhu tracks would look like with higher graphical quality. Thanks for watching!!

if there would be another 6 waves, I would cut out GBA bowser castle and replace it with moonview highway.

6:45 how dare you. I like Moo Moo Farm
I may have been a bit too harsh on the track 😂 I'm glad some people do in fact like it!

Thank you so much! Glad you enjoy the content. Thanks for watching!!
To be fair, it’s not THAT much of a long shot. Sure it’s a lot of work but they’ve gotten so much hubbub and money from the booster course pass that it’s not unreasonable to say that they’d want to keep this money train going.
That’s a great point! I really hope we do end up getting more waves. Thanks for watching!!
Nintendo heard the part of the Bowser Castle and did the opposite 💀
Ikr 😂 Thanks for watching!!

@@GameBlock_ I think it will be end of 2023 because of the leaks

What if Nintendo decides to release a course builder DLC where you get to build your own courses and share them online along with Booster Course Pass 2...
That would be SO cool! A course maker would add so much to the game! I think that would probably be released separately as a “Mario Kart Maker” game, but it would. Be awesome if it was included in 8DX instead! Thanks for watching!!
If they brought a gba bowsers castle to mk8d it would be flat since they are flat in tour

Another full 48 tracks sound just too good to be true... but technically, it's not impossible. There is enough material for that (especially if they still add nitros)
Really, the biggest thing against it, imo, is just how old the game and the switch itself is... 2 more years of DLC this late into its lifespan... could technically happen, but it's difficult
Yeah, I think a lot of this depends on when the next console and the next Mario kart come out. Still, I really hope we do get more courses!
They could try to release each wave faster this time, not sure
If that were the case,I think that some new tracks would be super sick, especially since there are other tracks that could be cut honestly.
I'm talking mainly about raceaways and circuits;I mean,we would have another 4 Mario Circuits,4 Luigi Circuits,1 Peach Circuit and 1 Daisy Circuit.
That's way too much,so there would need to be even more cutting.
-N64 Luigi Raceaway is a worse GCN Luigi Circuit,so that would be cut,GBA Luigi Circuit can stay because it's based and is unique
-GBA Peach Circuit is lame
-GCN Mario Circuit and WII Mario Circuit are literally the same,so one would be cut;
while i have nostalgia for the GCN one,I think realistically Nintendo would pick WII Mario Circuit
-WII Luigi Circuit is also lame and it's a worse GCN Luigi Circuit(again)
-3DS Mario Circuit is too similiar to the DS one that we already have,so that's another cut
In total we would have 28 cut tracks, but that's not it.
-N64 Frappe Snowland would have an aesthetic too similiar to the one of GCN Sherbet Land, but to be fair N64 Sherbet Land is also pretty bland, but one of them should be cut
-N64 DK's Jungle Parkaway is too similiar to GBA Riverside Park
-N64 Wario Stadium is too similiar to DS Wario Stadium(I mean they have the same name too)
-GBA Lakeside Park and GBA Broken Pier would be cut since they are too similiar to Riverside and Boo Lake, who are already in the 1st half of the pass
-GBA Shy Guy Beach and GCN Peach Beach would definetely be cut in favor of GBA Cheep Cheep Island and GCN Daisy Cruiser
-3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon and DS Desert Hills are lame
-One of the Wuhu tracks would be cut in favor of the other,so we would probably get Maka Wuhu
-Ok,I know we have a serious lack of Bowser Castles, but GCN and WII are way too similiar to be in the same game,so one of them would be cut
In total we have 39 tracks that would not make the cut, that could be replaced with new tracks,or maybe tracks from the arcade games.
I definitely wouldn’t want them to be cut, I just think it could be likely. I love both courses as well! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ I understand your view, I just hope it wouldn’t happen 😂
I say no due to 're fact we had no word on Mario kart 9 yet
I feel like Mario Kart 9 will be on the next console, but we don’t know when that comes out, so I suppose whether we get more waves or not partially depends on that console’s release time. Thanks for watching!!
would be cool if second booster pass happens
I fully agree! It would be so cool to have so many tracks in one game! Thanks for watching!!
What about Mario kart wii rainbow road
It would be amazing if Wii Rainbow Road was brought back! Thanks for watching!!
I Really Want to See Wario Colosseum Come to the Game Because it is about time It gets a Remake.
I fully agree! It’s one of my favorite double dash tracks, and I’d absolutely love to see it get a remake! Thanks for watching!!
They can top 8 deluxe by making Mario Kart Ultimate for the next console
That’s a great point! I still think I’d prefer a change in gameplay though.
I think there will be more content I can't wait to see if they add Koopa Cape in wave 5
Koopa cape would make such a great addition to the game! Thanks for watching!!
@@GameBlock_ I hope we get another Booster Course Pass since Smash got 2 DLC volume packs
This kinda gives me anxiety.. (also I would keep mushroom city)
Mushroom city definitely is a great track, I just don’t see it getting in as very likely. Thanks for watching!!
If they do add more waves, I would prefer they be Battle Courses instead of more regular courses
And unlike regular courses, they can definitely add way more than double the alerady existing number of battle courses, being a pitiful 10
Hey GameBlock, you remind me of the other TH-camr, Nin10doland. You should do a collab with him.
I hope this is true because that means Maka Wuhu and Wuhu Loop😊😊
Same! Those are such great courses as well. Personally, I’m hoping for toad’s factory 😁 Thanks for watching!!
