Great lesson with immediate feedback. Ive struggled with the sway for many years and truly didnt know how to fix it. Your lessons are fantastic and have helped my golf game a lot. Thanks for taking the time to help us play better and enjoy the game more.
Love the drill. This is something I've been working on for about a month and a half now. My question for you is. What are your thoughts on squatting or compressing the body by the top of the swing? I found this concept by looking at tour pro swings of similar height to myself and a majority of them have some "squatting" or lowering of the body as you coil. Similar to how a spring gets shorter in length as you coil it together. I don't think it's intentional, but a byproduct of the coiling action. I found I hit it better, more accurately, and farther with less effort. Like a 3/4 9 iron was carrying for me in 140 range. Where as before that was full distance. After I was in the 152 range for a full 9 iron with great club and ball characteristics, ie 90 mph clubhead speed, -4 AOA, path was 3-4* in to out with, the face 2* closed or so for a nice draw. I mean everything you want to see. Or so I thought anyway from what I could find.
Yes your question is valid and observation is correct. Most elite players change height in the downswing by 1-3 inches before elevating in the later hade of the downswing. I’ll do more on this in another video
hey Cameron love the lesson, it's something I've been trying to work on. However the way your head and chest move back in the drill isn't what you do in the swing. I wonder if you can clarify that in some future lesson? Most amateurs have issues where they move everything back including the head and end up hitting it fat and never able to compress it.
Thanks for watching. I’ll do this indeed. It’s a drill to build a feel which prevents the spine extension error in backswing which ultimately wouldn’t appear in the real swing like it feels.

Glad it helped! And more to come!!

Add another (!) layer by sticking a ball between your elbows and then you’re really flying
Yeah it’s decent concept but not mission critical to hitting it well.
