- This has to be the best golf tip I've ever seen. Not only is it a simple golf tip that will improve any golf swing, it works with every club.
Ever wondered how good golfers can hit driver straight and long with what seems like an effortless golf swing. Meanwhile you are giving it everything you've got and can barely advance the ball long enough to reach the green in two.
In this golf lesson Danny Maude gives you a golf tip that not only makes the golf swing easy to learn but feels effortless. Whether you are looking to hit driver straight or strike your irons better this will help you achieve that elusive effortless golf swing.
Check out todays video • The Greatest Golf Dril... and learn how to manipulate spin loft so you too can gain some effortless yards while your mates are left wondering how the hell you managed to hit the ball that far.

ABOUT DANNY
-----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On TH-cam and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If it's a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

This golf lesson provides a couple of wonderful drills to help you hit your driver straight. If you are a beginner golfer and are looking for some golf driver tips that are simple and easy to do then you are going to love this.
I will show you the golf swing slow motion so that you can see what you need to do to improve.
We look at 3 things:
1. How to stop slicing your driver
2. How to swing more in to out or how to swing more inside out
3, How to get the correct impact position with driver
and I hope to do all this with simple golf tips so you can create an effortless golf swing
I create a practice plan for every one of my videos. You can access this weeks plan here: www.dannymaude.com/Greatest-golf-drill-Ive-ever-seen If you want to learn more about the wrist sensor I use in this video use this link here: hackmotion.com/dannymaude. If you use the code dannymaude there's a nice discount too.
Hi Danny, I just bought a hackmotion and I noticed you are wearing it as a right handed on the right hand (trail wrist). Hackmotion advises to use the left hand (lead wrist). What is the reason for that? Does it still work like in that way? THX
I love my Danny Maude fix each Saturday morning before golf. Best of the best on TH-cam by far. 🎉
Thank you Licha! BTW I create a practice plan for every one of my videos. You can access this weeks plan here: www.dannymaude.com/Greatest-golf-drill-Ive-ever-seen If you want to learn more about the wrist sensor I use in this video use this link here: hackmotion.com/dannymaude. I know you receive many comments and probably find it difficult to read them all, but, I had to tell you how much this has helped me. I first watched this video on a Saturday morning, then went to the range and tried this. From the very first swing, not only did it seem more effortless, but I was compressing the golf ball, something I have never been able to do consistently. It was one of the best range sessions of my life. I then played 18 on Sunday at a course I had never played before. The weakest part of my game is my Driver. I miss fairways often and on a good day I'm getting 200 yards. On this day I didn't miss a fairway and was averaging 220 per drive (I keep stats via my Garmin watch). Every club in my bag was struck more consistently, and more on target. On Monday I played in my golf league, and once again, my game was incredibly consistent and I was my team's top score. All this to say, thank you Danny!
@rmayhugh this is amazing. Well done 👏 Thank you so much for your support. I really do appreciate it 🙏🏻
Another great lesson. Simplicity is the best way. 👍
Thank you Potter! Appreciate the support!
Took this swing thought (arms screwed to my body) to the course yesterday. Shot my best ever score - amazing! Thank you…
@robbridge5505 that’s amazing. Well done 👏
Best golf swing explanation ever! I was able to apply it (in my basement into a net) right away and now repeating the proper swing is much simpler!! Thanks!
@mickeypoindexter4441 that’s fantastic. Well done 👏
Danny Maude is the best! No one explains the golf swing better!
Thank you Tom!
Danny, this really helps keep my elbows in tight. Will be studying over the winter. Many thanks. Ken, White Plains NY
Pleasure Ken, all the best
This video is helpful for me like it always has been. I've noticed that my golf swing got worse again since Oct. I should keep 'çonsistency' in mind. Thank you so much!
@byoungwooko7602 you are most welcome. Thank you for your support 👍🏻
This is so helpful for me as I have been focussing on the right elbow staying down. If I tighten the armpit screws it will guarantee the right elbow position. Got it ! It is the language and the graphics that make these lesons so immediately clear for me. Thanks Danny.
Thanks John happy to help 😁
This is the second time I've heard this in the last two weeks, it was explained differently. It's awesome and has made a huge difference.
🙏
I am a member of Danny’s community. Been playing for about 50 years, gotten as low as an 8 but now am an 11 at 76. What is great about Danny is these tips can get you (me) back on track after groping a bit of late. I always love the simplicity of Danny’s suggestions. Went to the range today and felt my old rhythm come back after about 15 minutes working on the body turn and then the screws in the shoulders. Hit a bunch of 54 degrees shots at the flag from 60 yds which for me is critical. Thanks Danny always appreciate simplicity.
Wonderful to hear Joseph
This video has been like a final piece of jigsaw puzzle. 1000 pieces scrambled and you’ve allowed me to enjoy and lower my handicap significantly.you had similar versions of this video so this video 🎉 is like the icing on my cake for my future golf career.Kudos to you Dan
Glad I could help!
Hey Danny, what a great way to explain the screws being loose (leading to all kinds of inconsistencies and compensations). I think that went undiagnosed in my swing for years. A pro once told me to think of carrying a bag of concrete. He said you'd hold it close to your body and not out at arms length. Thanks so much for this great lesson.
Love that image
Wow!! The best drill to improve accuracy and consistency from Danny Maude…few practice swings in the house with my practice balls and it did wonders..
@michaelcanete1468 thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Hi Danny, this lesson had an immediate impact on my golf. I was amazed at how easy it was to “tighten the screws” and consequently a massive improvement in my game. Thank you very much.
@Champ1onFN that’s amazing. Glad I can help you. Thank you for watching 🙏🏻
After watching your video, I applied it to the course with my buddies, and they were all. Impressed of how much more consistent I was. Thank you Danny
You are very welcome John
thanks to your instruction I 've gone from a 16 to 7 hcp. I am diligent with your drills. I truly appreciate your channel.
That’s amazing Jim well done
Amazing tip Danny. My first round of golf after having seen this video and some practice at the range, showed immediately longer dinstance an better consistancy which resulted in a 0.4 lower handicap and a very satisfaying feeling aferwards. Still much to learn and discover but this one has been very valuable for me and my game. Big thank you!
@Senna998 that’s great. Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
This makes the swing so easy to visualise. I am going to try it out on the range this whole week. Thank you, Danny. You are the one and only great coach I can understand. Thank you so much
You can do it!
Thanks Danny, your drills are game changers for players like me
So kind of you to say, really happy for you Matt
Thanks for the great tips every week Danny!
You have an amazingly approachable and reassuring manner, not to mention stellar advice. Thanks.
@paxvob thank you. I appreciate it. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
I had some nice results from this. Thanks. Keeps the club in front of you over the entire swing.
Absolutely
This has really helped my game. I have always struggled with a really bad slice, I'm now hitting much straighter and much more accurate shots time and time again
@tacklemania1 that’s amazing well done 👏
Great lesson! I used this today and struck the ball so well. Thanks, Danny.
Thanks Charlie 🙏
Great drill man, I saw this vid earlier and ran to the range, my consistency was next level...looks like I'll reach my goal of single digits by next summer...thanks bruh!!
You are very welcome Julian
Brilliant thank you Danny as ever perfect coaching drills😊
Thank you Hugh!
Another great video. I like the loose screw analogy. I’ll have to keep it in mind when things start going wrong on course. I’ve often noticed that my bad shots often feel sloppy and out of control and my good ones, everything feels connected. So this all makes sense.
Thank you Ted, appreciate the support!
Great lesson. Danny. Use this every time.
Love to hear that
You're a great teacher for a lot of people including myself, keep up the great work that you do!
Thanks Josh! Happy to help
Danny another brilliant video
So glad you enjoyed it
I think the Pete Cowen video is the best. The last few months I've been working on it, it's getting better and better, but now winter is coming. It will unfortunately be next spring when I get back to it.
Hope you manage to get some record win the nets over the winter
This drill really worked great for me at the range yesterday, and onto the course today!! Thanks Danny!
@rgrbmac3066 that’s great. Well done. Thank you for watching 👍🏻
Danny, I’d just like to say a huge thank you. I played golf for 30 years and managed to get down to a 9 handicap. Never had a lesson and clearly was never going to get better with the ingrained faults I had developed and learned to live with. Gave up 14 years ago when I fell out of love with the game due to my expectations not being met by my ability. I recently decided to give it a go again at the age of 66. My hope was I would have forgotten the old ways and I could start again with sound basics. My first few weeks were a struggle. My mind was writing cheques my body couldn’t cash. Then I came across this video. Wow. Brilliant! I am now back on the path to consistently striking the ball. I still have a ways to go with course management and my putting but I see improvement each time I go out. This video was key to my at last having a swing which I can repeat. Just one extra thing which I feel might help others. To stress the importance of a ‘quiet’ right arm. This when added to your swing training tips has been a godsend. Thanks.
That’s amazing to hear well done, thanks so much for taking the time to share
Dear Danny
Love your passion n sincerity. Can hardly wait for the morning to try out this drill at the range which seems very simple...

My pleasure
Love your work, Danny!
Thanks so much Matt
Thanks Danny, into my 3rd year of golf and you have been my primary source of instruction
Thank you Habh!
What a decent Top shelf Gent Danny is. 🏆👍👍👍
Thank you Dropit!
thank you!! shot my first sub-80 round . keep the videos coming.
Danny, after striping my driver earlier in the summer, I recently lost my driver swing big time….horrible duck hooks that went nowhere, even the return of the occasional slice! I watched your video a couple of weeks ago and just by getting my hand position correct at the top of backswing has been a real game changer, and my iron swings are loving it to! Thanks as ever for the wonderful tips
Brilliant Rodger! Well done 🙌
Brilliant, Danny ... THANK YOU!
You are very welcome
Danny that seems so uncomplicated and easy going to try this out next week. Thank you.
Hope it works well for you Stephen 👍
Another great Saturday video Danny, it great to see the distance you get from the right motion ❤
Glad you enjoyed it Dave
Thanks so much Danny, my mind usually goes all over the place and since this and the previous video, all I say is “Lock it in and Let it fly” and it is working😊 most of the time..thanks
Love it Helen
Terrific explanation. Thanks!
@kellyharbour7140 Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Thanks heaps Mr. Maude. Loving it.
@Homegamers001 you are most welcome. Thank you 🙏🏻
More good stuff Danny. Will take it to the course tomorrow. Be well my friend-Russ
Hope you play well Russ 👍
Another great video, Danny! I played mid-80s for most of the summer ... senior, over 70 ... I just let some bad habits creep into my setup and swing. I resonate with the screw loose analogy. I just tried it in the basement net ... now, I'm striking the sweet spot more than 80% of the time. Can't wait to take it to the course next week.
Love to hear how you get on Gene
Great lesson, Danny, thanks!
Really kind thank you
I've used your chip/pitch videos when I go to the range and practice...very easy to follow along, and I'm not exaggerating my play around the greens have improved dramatically over the season...thanks mate from the USA🏌️
Very kind thank you for the support Scott!
I'm usually not a believer in these drills but i swear i took this to the range and then the course today, and it just works. My feeling was more just keeping the right arm pressed against my chest but i turned a straightish shot with a tendency to fade too much, with a left pointing divot, into an arrow straight shot/baby draw with a straight pointing divot. Strike is much purer and ball is going further. Amazing. PS i usually shoot 90-100 and i'm using Mizuno Pro 221's.
That’s wonderful, thank you for taking the time to share your progress
Loved the video Danny. Great tips.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Danny Thanks for this instruction, This is the best lesson I have seen in a long time. I only took this to the nets, I was impressed with the results. OK ,I have to take This to the course, with uneven lies or sitting in a divot, this gives me something to rely on.
Thanks Terence, let me know how you get on 😁
I started my round with some good results. Eventually, I realised that in trying to press the arm against the pectoral, I was increasing my grip pressure. Once I corrected this fault I got better results. It is a work in progress.
Well done Danny 👏 😊
Thank you Roy!
Will be trying this next at the range and then the golf course Danny, thanks for all your great tips
Happy to help Antonkis!
Just put a towel under your arm pits on the range and hit some shots without losing it. But the explanation in this video is the same and its pure gold. Thank you Danny. Always providing great content and always easy to follow.
Happy to help 😁
Very good lesson Danny. It's easy for me to understand it. The swing feels like my arms are fixed to my chest. Going to take it to the driving range next. Thanks
@ChuckS7546 thank you. Let me know how you get on 👍🏻
Very nice explanations Danny 👍
Very kind thank you Bruno!
Thank you, helped me get best scores to date!
@wayne9394 that’s great. Well done 👏. Thank you for watching 👍🏻
OMG, this makes sense. Really good drill
@wadepreston3401 thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Wow absolutely fantastic information love this Danny your video’s are brilliant. Only problem is needed this years ago now approaching 70 . Keep it coming Danny
@bamber7129 glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for your support 👍🏻
Another great example of how to keep things basic and understandable. Thanks again Danny without sounding cheesy, your the best 👍🏼⛳️
Very kind Blair! Appreciate the support 😁
Brilliant. Just brilliant.
Great one Danny,
Glad you enjoyed it Felicity
Thank you for an excellent video & practice plan.
All I have to do now is PRACTISE IT after following your guidelines.
If only I could simply swallow a pill to get a great result.
Hard work, time & patience needed.
Many thanks.
The effort always makes it feel so much better
@@DanielMaude
Great sportsmen & women have put in many hours & years of effort to achieve their success.
I think Danny has put in the time & effort.
Great and uncomplicated lesson thanks Danny
Thank you Richard!
Yep, I have a screw loose. Spend way too much money on golf, watch way too many golf lessons on TH-cam and I’m still sh*t at it 😂🤦🏻♂️
Hope the video helps you Dean!
Golf is one of the hardest sports to master by far, so many different types of shots, distances, and weather conditions to cope with, I could go on and on. I personally think watching too many different TH-cam coaches can ruin your game as different coaches can teach different methods which in my opinion again can make you think too much and in golf you also need to be patient and keep a cool head. Danny is a fantastic TH-cam coach and he explains things very well so if you stick to the one TH-cam coach and practice hard, golf can become a little bit easier for you.
This is my go to coach for youtube. Too many have ideas and some dont explain well but Danny is a great coach. I have watched a ton and he is the best so far. Stick with him.
Ahmen brother I’m in the same boat!!!😊
I too watched many different golf instructions on TH-cam and my golf game did not improve. Three years ago, I chose 1 golf instructor on TH-cam because his instructions immediately made me a better and more consistent golfer. His strategy and instructions are clear, understandable and easy to apply. He sticks to his strategy and doesn't confuse you with then this tip and then that tip. He fine-tunes your golf swing. Take his video from Saturday morning, my 'screws' too appeared to be loosening over time. With his instruction, I hit golfballs this morning with all clubs with such ease, crisp and without slicing. And also far despite the humidity and a cold 4 degrees Celsius.
Danny Maude is my number one golf instructor. T
The greatest lesson I've seen in years, anywhere. And it's free. At least subscribe!
Great drill Danny! The first shot you hit…is enough for any struggling player to break 90. Less, is actually more. Especially in golf:)👍
@michaelrowe6220 thank you. Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
This is a GREAT video
Glad you enjoyed it
Morning Danny.
Cracking video. So simple, but super effective.
My Granddaughter is starting out so we can both try this when we go to to the driving range
Cheers.
Jim Goggin.
Thank you Jim! Let me know how you get on ?
Your Amazing Danny,,,,
@josephshuster4904 thank you 🙏🏻
Credit to the other instructor is one of the reasons why you have 1.4m followers - well done!
Thank you TPL!
Hi Danny. Great video. I think i will purchase the Hackmotion devise.
@trevorhenwood5219 thank you. Enjoy 👍🏻
Great translation of a consistent golf swing. I don’t live in the Uk but these on line lessons are really good for me. I was thinking of buying an explanar, what do you think.
Danny Maude is the best if you like playing golf and improving your game!!!
Very kind thank you Danny!
Thanks mate
That’s really kind Jan thank you
You are the absolute best, Danny. I wish you were stateside. You’d have a very successful golf school if you ever decided to come over the pond, even if it were for periods at a time.
Thanks 🙏
Danny, if you cannot come to the States a few times per year for golf instruction, perhaps you can patent your technique, train some PGA instructors, and BINGO, everyone gets the benefit of your extraordinary teaching!
You should come to Wisconsin for Whistling Straits, Erin Hills, Sand Valley…
@@michaelwenzel5018 I played Erin Hills two years ago. What an incredible experience. Great Track!
@ so many places I’d love to visit 👍
this is a gem, thnx.
@steveperry1344 you’re welcome. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
Love it pal 🏌️♂️⛳️
@williamparke4952 thank you much 👍🏻
Great video!
Thank you Chris! Very kind 😁
Hi Danny, what you show us in your videos reminds me of Brian Sparks' "Golf Dance", that is to say swing as a movement and not as an assembly of pieces.
Absolutely Nicole, it’s always a fluid motion
Thanks Danny. Sometimes if I get the takeaway correct I mess up the follow through or visa versa 🤦♂️. This is much clearer now to lock in a full circular swing. Must put Hack Motion device on my Santa wish list 😉⛳️
Thanks Colin appreciate the support! If you want to learn more about the wrist sensor I use in this video use this link here: hackmotion.com/dannymaude. If you use the code dannymaude there's a nice discount too
wow thank you.
You are very welcome Patrick
Thanks Danny for the great tips. Which version of Hackmotion did you use? Do you need the highest pro version?
Jimmy Ballard has been teaching this technique for years and produced a book and numerous videos. Some of his clients have gone on to win majors. It worked for them and it has certainly worked for me
Great to hear
Just had to watch before sneaking out to play 18. Liked the steps needed to get to the destination.
Awesome, how did it go
@@DanielMaudeGreat, the follow thru tip was bang on what I needed. I rehearsed it before every shot and got a small but noticeable gain in distance. I will keep doing this. ❤
Danny, I love your videos. I am a 76 year old slow swinger and I'm trying to gain back some swing speed. Question: do you start the downswing with your arms swinging down or let the body motion bring your arms down?
Try this drill out and see what happens. If you happen to swing over the top too much then you may need to feel like the arms come down first
Last time I did this on purpose was at Rye GC, at a Sussex Artisans Group 2 tournament, some long time ago and it worked a treat.
Enjoy David!
HI DANNY, GREAT LESSON AGAIN, I AM INCORPORATING YOUR DRILL WITH AN INFLATABLE SMART BALL ON A CORD TO FURTHER HELP MY ELBOW POSITION BEST WISHES, VIC YOUNG,.
Thanks Vic let me know how you get on!
Awesome drill. It is 3:30 here in the Philippines.and I can’t wait for daylight to go to the range to try this out. Can I ask a question about Hackmotion? My son is 16 and a very good junior golfer (shooting 4 over from the Tips). Could I use Hackmotion (Core level) with him cost effectively? Could its technology be an improvement over personal coaching ? I’m also thinking of getting a budget launch monitor such as rapsodo garmin R10 to improve the analytics of his practice. He is homeschooling and is able to practice his golf every day
The basic Hackmotion is what I was using to measure this one
This is gold dust. I do find that it effectively shortens my swing a bit but I can live with that if I get greater consistency. If I stick with it I think the distance will increase again. Thanks Danny
Thanks Chris 😊
Love the video! Sorry to say though I couldn't get the angels singing like you did doing the arc motion.
If you have any questions I’d be happy to help
Hi Danny, at 15 seconds you mention a drill 'just in case you missed it'. What drill or video do you mean there? Do you have a link for me?
Hi Rob, I covered it again in this video
You're an amazing dude. I wish you would move to California and train us!
Thanks 🙏
Love the simplicity
This is money! Trains the body to always keep club in front of you. So key. Hogan said it was most important part of the swing...
Glad you enjoyed it
Hello Danny , wuould you recommend a strong grip?? I keep seeing opposites opinions about, but I see you do it a little bit with driver, I have it with all clubs and it kind of works, except I am not close to consistent with woods or driver.
This video has been like a final piece of jigsaw puzzle. 1000 pieces scrambled and you’ve allowed me to enjoy and lower my handicap significantly.you had similar versions of this video so this video 🎉 is like the icing on my cake for my future golf career.Kudos to you Dan
Amazing Michael, happy to help
