    First thank you for your vids. I have been watching for about a month and have watched most of your vids. Great information for me (weekend warrior). Product references have been spot on with QP-ON and Angel Wax products. Just wish I had your skills. Sure you will be hearing from me in the future as I have several projects underway. Again thank you for your efforts.

    I was taught to hand sand by a body shop painter. He always told me to go by the numbers I usually start at 1500,2000,2500,3000,4000,5000,6000,7000. I have 8000,10000,and 12000 grit paper too. I never skip grits.

    Impressive. Truly. I really need to learn how to do this. How big of an air tank would you say is needed for similar tools? I'm sure mine is not sufficient.

    Great video Brian,did you use a micro fiber cutting pad ? What 3 ' sanding disc could you suggest rather than the 3M which cost like like gold!

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greg... you can buy anything with hook and loop, trace the backing plate, cut to fit. 👍🏻

    • @gregfisher216
      @gregfisher216 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a foam block.Would you say that the disc with the hook and loop system provide more consistent contact with the paint?

    • @apexdetail85
      @apexdetail85  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does...more so than paper wrapped areond foam or a magic eraser.

    When actually correcting, do you run your torq machines on highest speed?
    I've been wondering because other polishers max speed is around 6000 but torq models max is 4500ish. So speed 6 on torq (40) is more like speed 4 or 5 on other models like Porter Cable and Griot's and Harbor Freight

    Would you repainted if it had gone through the clear coat. I had my white rear bumper fix small section from pin hole with red puddi and painted and lacquer and clear coated. Terrible job, now I'm stuck with the center of the bumper with mis-matching white color. Don't know what to do. Help

    There's one problem I see with this process...with all the sanding, one must be VERY careful to not remove factory orange peel; if you do, the ENTIRE vehicle will have to be done. I have seen a guy go too far and had to do the whole car, so it would match...can you say lost his ass!
