    Brought my Son up alone since the little turd hopper was 18 months. He'll be 22 on Valentines day. It was and still is a blast. Raise your kids and spoil your Grandchildren, otherwise you will end up raising your Grandchildren. It's all in the prep. Have a gooder Christmas Bud.

      Was never even sure I wanted kids until I had my daughter when I was 21. Best thing that ever happened to me. After I got off active duty, she's the only thing that kept me going through all the bouts of depression. Probably wouldn't be here today without her. Fatherhood is more far valuable than anything else you'll ever experience in life, despite what society would lead you to believe.

      Since he was old enough to wipe his own ass my boy has been with me. He turns 21 in 4 months. Builds his own race cars and races against some of the best. Known when younger as that kid that even kid haters liked. So I gotta agree.

      Well said brother, my wife stepped out when my Son was 8 months old. She left him with me full time, but I did not even hesitate. Kids don't sign up for adult drama. It was tough, but we did it. Huge kudos out to all the single dads that put their kids first. My Son is now 20 years old, and we are still best friends. One can't put a price on that, it means the world to me.

    • @townsendliving9750
      @townsendliving9750 ปีที่แล้ว

      If set up properly the generator would cause less pollution then just running a diesel vehicle. People always like to say well your tesla is powered by a coal fired power plant, what they dont realize they are not making the tesla look bad, they are making the powerplant look bad. Even a tesla getting charged off of straight coal is hundreds of time less carbon pollution then a diesel or gas counterpart. Most Coal plants are actually very clean energy sources per megawatt. But they are shutting them down cause they are demonized. Now whether or not the carbon matters, and all of America's energy efficiency push makes a fuck or is a drop in an endless sea. That's a differnt conversation

    I bought a cheap Chinese steel wood stove about 10 years ago. Last summer I pulled it out and put a new one in, as you just couldn't get the old one to burn slowly. Turns out there's a nice 6 inch crach straight up the back of it, and 2 of the seams cracked open too. Gonna weld it up when I get round to it and then I've got me a workshop heater 😁

    Hi AVE, after many years still enjoying your vids... But several times I heard you talk about how much you love those Dremels... A few years back as a gift I got the Dremel model 4000... It says it "has a high performance motor with electronic feed back that allows the tool to maintain it's speed under load" after forty years of using the older models mostly fairly light duty I find the 4000 model not a very comfortable fit to hold but I do use it when I'm cutting into heavier things.... 90% of my use is using their reinforced cut-off wheels and the 4000 does seem to hold it's speed under load... Would love to see a review on the 4000 model if you ever get a chance... Again a great channel and look forward to all your videos... Thanks!

    Nice work and a job well done. If you'd rather have the option to wait on a full repair until better weather next time, maybe order a bucket of "body furnace cement" to have on hand. We'd be out a video from you of course, but it might save some frustration at an inopportune time. I watched the old man assemble our 1800's era cast iron potbelly stove every Fall with that stuff, then as needed he'd patch it throughout the winter as cracks appeared. Finally in the Spring the stove would be completely disassembled and moved back to the shed so that Mom could reclaim some space in the family room. Merry Crustmas!

    I gotta deg to biffer on that cast iron vs. steel stove bit. The biggest, baddest 3K dollar Dutchwest hunka cast lasted me 6 years. Friggin wood hog would take a 30 inch log. Stuff 'er to the gills at 9 PM and wake up to a cold house and wait a half hour before your next kindle could start putting heat into the room. While I never cracked a panel, the seams all let go. (6 panels) Wife started getting sick from the leaker 5 years in. Can't get your hands on factory seam sealer. Tried consumer grade to no avail. Bought a 1980's Blaze King Princess at an online (local) auction. Looked big in the photos. I was STUNNED that it was small enough to fit in a Chevy Sprint. Obviously overfired on several occasions. Top half of the bricks were either dust or fly ash. Door was warped bad enough to accommodate a 1/4" gap in the top corner. A few new bricks and some clever wrangling of the door and a new gasket, it put heat in the room inside 15 minutes of the match light. Had the top deck glowin' but good a few times! Went from 6 cord of wood to 3.5. Warm house in the morning, too! Drawback was that if your log was over 16.5 inches, it wasn't going in the box. (Do whatever you want with that...) One of the best 50 bucks I ever spent. Landed a pair of 1990's Blaze King Kings. Refurbished both, sold one, which made mine free. Guy that bought the other one loves his. He got the same results. They take 22 inch logs. (24 if you want to keep your arms inside a hot fire box trying to get them perfect) Warm house every morning. 12 to 18 hour burns. If you can find yourself a Blaze King KEJ 1100, Do it! I put a steel cat in it instead of the ceramic. Spendy, but proved itself worthy of the extra coin.

    Hey, great seeing another dawg inhabit the Empire of Dirt, you guys have the perfect spread for a critter and I bet them kids are tickled pink over her. Hell of a thing seeing an old dawg go, its been a decade since the cancer got my boy and being a lowly renter Im not able to replace him. Merry Xmas to you and yours, AvE, and buy Dewclaw a beer or three!

    -22 Dungarees Science in the Poke-yer-nose Mountains last night. I work in a -30° freezer, so that translates to SuperMAXheavy t-shart weather. Heavy T's can be substituted with powdered Colombiana Hydrochloride, in case of emergency 😁👍

    My buddy in highschool lived out in the boonies. His stove/heater was twice the size of that one. It does get very cold here in Kansas but not like your frozen shithole, Hoth. Many winter's we got that thing glowing RED HOT. A baby snake slithered into the fresh ash pile once, once. Well, we got it glowing RED for many a years. No cracks, must've been cast. Thanks for the video

    Well said!! Couldn't agree with you more. Don't have any kids, but I sure feel a void in my life not having children. Kids are great and yes they are a challenge they do bring joy to your life. I see my friends and their families give me joy. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Keep up the great work you do.
