I attended my visa interview as well as the VAC appointments and during the visa interview they checked my documents and sent me directly to the Visa Officer for the interview without checking my finger prints on the day of the interview. But the VO did scan my fingerprints during the interview. After the interview I realized that other students had to verify their fingerprints before as well as during the interview. I am a student applying for F1 visa for the first time. I have never been to the United States before. The VO has approved my visa application but the status on the website is still approved and not issued yet. Hello Ben, I am in Africa since 2009. The first time I applied for B1/B2 visa was in 2010 in Africa, and it was refused to say that I should apply for my visa from my home country (India). Now Once again I am planning to apply for B1/B2 visa from Africa, and in the DS-160 application, I have mentioned my last refusal, with no appropriate reason explained. May I know if this time I am asked about why it was refused, what should I say. as it was not explained to me why it was refused or any other appropriate reason.
Hi. They'll just ask you if you have been refused a visa or not (yes/ no answer - you don't have to explain). The reason for denial is usually lack of financial capacity or strong ties to country.

In 2013, my B-1 visa application was denied, followed by a denial of my F1 visa application in 2022. I had applied for the F1 visa from the country where I completed my undergraduate degree and was employed at the time. Additionally, my mother currently resides in the US under the "withholding of removal" status, and my brother has faced five rejections for a B-1 visa. Now, I have received admission to one of the top universities in the USA and I am considering reapplying for an F1 visa from my home country. Both of my rejections was under 214(b). Given these circumstances, what are the chances of my visa being approved this time?

I attended my visa interview as well as the VAC appointments and during the visa interview they checked my documents and sent me directly to the Visa Officer for the interview without checking my finger prints on the day of the interview. But the VO did scan my fingerprints during the interview. After the interview I realized that other students had to verify their fingerprints before as well as during the interview. I am a student applying for F1 visa for the first time. I have never been to the United States before. The VO has approved my visa application but the status on the website is still approved and not issued yet. I am really confused and scared right now as I couldn't find any other cases like this on the internet. It would mean a lot if you could tell me what problems this might cause as well as what I should do.

I have been applying for a f1 visa and got rejected 2 times the first time I applied after he asked me if I have a relative i said yes I have a sister who is in the us she went by student visa but she applied for an asylum I didn’t know that she have applied then he waited till he finds her I think it took him around 10 minutes and then told me my visa had been denied and I asked him why he said ask your sister so then she told me that she have applied for an asylum and after 2months I tried again and after a few questions i got rejected again so is there any possible way that I can apply again am passionate about my subject ?
You shouldn't have had a sister in the US.
2. If your sister sought asylum, how would they be convinced you wouldn't.

Hello Ben, I am in Africa since 2009. The first time I applied for B1/B2 visa was in 2010 in Africa, and it was refused to say that I should apply for my visa from my home country (India). Now Once again I am planning to apply for B1/B2 visa from Africa, and in the DS-160 application, I have mentioned my last refusal, with no appropriate reason explained. May I know if this time I am asked about why it was refused, what should I say. as it was not explained to me why it was refused or any other appropriate reason.
Hi. They'll just ask you if you have been refused a visa or not (yes/ no answer - you don't have to explain). The reason for denial is usually lack of financial capacity or strong ties to country.
