    These are very pretty.
    Watching you is never a waste of my time. Your videos amount some others have become my mainstay. They were even before the covid 19 virus. I had something that took every bit of my energy, started last fall and am just feeling like myself again this last week.

    Luv these Rachel... your process is addictive/contagious. I just find it easy to relate to I guess, my paper buckles like that when I put it through the sewing machine sometimes. I can’t wait to try making some of these! I don’t have any problem hearing you videos, either. Luv Bonnie 👍👍👍😘🌸

      Thank you so much Giusi! I couldn't stand all my scraps either so I divided them into piles for tags, pockets etc and then started working on them. I could still do more though, they don't seem to go down much!

    Love your stitching with beige thread. I mostly use black thread. I use all my scraps and don't let them get more than one container full. I start with the biggest pieces and make cards. I even have friends who give me scrap printed cardstock. There plain scraps i stamp on and fussy cut out. I always forget to make little books so I will have to make a bunch. 😀💞

    Roxy, washi tape is repositionable tape, meaning it is made to come on and off easily. If you want it to stay in one place you have to glue it on your paper. If you don't, over time and use it will come off starting at the edges. It happened to me on the first journal I made. Also if you distress the edges of your bits of paper you are using for collage, they will pop and it gives them dimension instead of looking flat. You can control how much ink you put around your paper with practice if you do not want a grungy look.

    LOVE watching you work. I am thinking of purchasing a guillotine cutter. Just wondering if I had 20 pages folded together and wanted to trim the edges so they are even does the cutter do it accurately or is it all shabby or still with page end that are not even when done?

    • @roxycreations679
      @roxycreations679  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much Melissa! My guillotine doesn't cut that many pages. A more expensive one might. I love my guillotine cutter though!

    Sorry to hear your event was not ideal, but at least you are not in the minus. Its good exposure for your work at least. I love the collage on the back of that first bigger booklet. Is that greenish fabric a paper or something from your digital kit or your photos? Good luck in Verona!

    • @roxycreations679
      @roxycreations679  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much! Yes the event wasn't as good as it should have been due to the lack of people. I sold heaps but the expenses were high for the event, hotel, travel etc. I was lucky , many didn't cover their costs which made me sad for them as so much effort goes into preparing! It's an antique fabric in the public domain (there aren't many) I can't remember whose it is but I'll see if I can find it and let you know.
