This is my first time to see your 3 year old video. You've stayed quite true to your own style and I love it! 💕 I'm happy to see that you use so many book pages and that you don't ink everything. I still love watching and learning from you. TFS🤗
Hi Rachel from wintery Perth WA..I have been a Fan for a while now, started my junk journal journey during he first covid lockdowns...and I love your work, your story has evolved...and I have enjoyed every minute ..so I thought I would just have a look at when you actually started...and so pleased I have...your style even then is just so 'YOU'..thank you for all the JJ knowledge you have shared, the life moments and your lughs and giggles, it has been and I am sure it will be, a fab time spent with you..X
You are amazingly creative. So glad you continued with the videos. Your authentic and natural. I love watching your videos for inspiration. God bless you and your family
Wow!! I’m back to almost the beginning!! That’s a HUGE pile of ephemera! And it’s all just incredible: lots of stitching, imaginative use of papers, varied textures with lace & fabric & beautiful colors!! Rachel, you were an Artist from the very beginning!! Really amazing & so fun to see your beginnings! What a journey!
it was such a such a treat to find your first video. How far you have come since this post. I LOVE your channel. You inspire me with every single video. Your unique situation with being Australian in Italy is very cool! I love seeing all the italian papers you have, and Ii just love your beautiful accent. I am a new TH-camr myself, I do junk journals with a focus on processing grief. I lost my husband 6 months ago, and was surfing youtube while hiding in bed for weeks... I stumbled across Tracie Fox's videos, and found you through her... I really enjoy crafting along with you. thanks so much for the inspiration!
Oh my word I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how hard that is. I have subscribed and put all your videos in my watch later list. It'll probably take me a week or so to get to them but I look forward to it. I'm so pleased you have joined this wonderful community. Thank you so much! Hugs Rachel
Hi Rachel, I just saw this first video after watching your magic for a few years now. I enjoyed seeing your beginnings in You tube and wouldn’t think of missing any of your current videos. I always start my day with you and a little trip to Italy.
You did a great job on this video!!! Thank you for being brave enough to make this video. I'd love to see a video where you show how you make these. Austin, TX USA
Love this idea, Rachel. I know I'm a year late seeing this but still wanted you to know that I appreciate this video. I'm a seamstress of over 25 years and am JUST now starting to use it on paper! I love this!
My dear you’ve come along way from your early days of creating ephemera. Even in the beginning your style we and is quite lovely and wonderful. So glad I stumbled upon your channel months ago. I enjoy hearing and seeing your work immensely.
Glad you didn’t freak out and made more videos 💜 I really enjoyed seeing some of your earlier pieces. Still similar, with new variations, etc. Paper & fabric are so much fun to play with 🥰 Thanks, Rachel
This is not my first time finding this video and I love it just as much. Right from the beginning you made beautiful pieces! 💕 glad you kept going because your ideas seem endless
First timer here. So glad I found your channel. Your work is lovely and so is your voice. I learned a lot from you today. Can't wait to see you. Thanks for sharing your time. 😊
I’m so glad to see your first video! Your talents & skills were apparent that very first day! Did you really make all those little beauties in a few days?! Do you sleep much?! I love how you’ve continued to come up with creative ways use to use your precious antique laces & book pages. Absolutely lovely! I’m glad you decided to try a video & have continued at a rapid pace. I get so relaxed while watching you work, I for one, am very glad you’re not nervous or moving at a spitfire pace. Thanks so much for sharing your ideas! That wasn’t months ago, only minutes ago!
Your works of art are absolutely gorgeous. Such beautiful tags, tucks, and pockets...amazing! Love the concept of creating a lot to put in journals. Great idea. Love everything. I will attempt to recreate a few of them. Thank you so much for sharing your creations with us!
Hi I am fairly new to your channel. I had watched somethings awhile back but I was new to most of the paper crafts of all types. I began with junk journals, and recently had began watching different people do collage. I just couldn't start or get with the flow of it... Until I saw your video a couple of weeks ago. You were doing the Master Boards. Which I had saw others do. What you did as you made them, you were talking and explaining your process. It was exactly what I needed. I knew I wanted to collage but didn't know where to begin. I fell in love with thinking of making and scanning and cutting them. But to be honest I didn't catch on to how amazing it was until you did finally cut them and they all were a whole new surprise piece. I wanted to say I saw this lady and I thought it was fun soundjnh, she turns to the plain side and cuts it to be surprised with what they all end up looking like There are so many endless possibilities, and I now see how making them ahead and embellishing them later would be so helpful. Thank you so much. Right after I did my first mini collages on 6X6 inch papers I had. I love it and it's true so fun and relaxing. Lastly I didn't know you were in Italy. I am Italian and dream of visiting. My family were from the Pisa and Tuscany area. May I ask where you are from? I thought Australia, but you are so we'll spoken and something sounds different. I obviously am familiar with accents from different states in America. But they are even tricky sometimes. I am from Ohio State out in the country side away from all the wild stuff happening here daily. Thanks again I look forward to learning more. I apologise for such. Long comment. Have a wonderful week!
I am from sydney in Australia but have been living in Otaly for about 16y years. My husband is Italian, I met him in Florence when I was traveling after University. Thank you so much!
Rachel so fun to see your first video (I believe) loved seeing all the tags you made and the little booklets and envelopes. You used a Bingo card. OMG 😲
Thank you for your encouragement! I'm building up some courage as I'm not an expert jpournal maker but I guess I have my own style so maybe it could be nice for someone to see my process. I love watching other people's process videos!
Wow so creative and beautiful and I love how easy you make crafting look. You give me the inspiration and the confided nave to try your ideas. You make it look is fun and easy and you always tell us it doesn't have to be perfect which I love! Please keep posting and I love to see Lulu in your videos too. Sending our love and positive prayers please keep you family safe at home! 💗🙏❤️😊💜🐶🍷
Thank you so much for your encouragement! It's been a challenge putting myself out there I still haven't told many people who know me! I plan to do more and eventually work up the courage to show my process so others can do it too! Have a great weekend. Best wishes Rachel
Roxy Creations I, too, am trying to work up the courage to put myself out there with a TH-cam channel and Etsy shop. I know my work is good quality, so I don’t know what is holding me back. I should set a time table of steps and go for it-like you! Although I’ve heard of your name before, I think. Do you already have an Etsy shop?
Hi yes I’ve had an Etsy shop for a while. It’s taken me years to figure things out! With Etsy if you believe in your product you must persevere! Let me know when you open it, I’ll pop over to have a look😁!
I just found your channel and I love love love your beautiful tags and envelopes. You shall definitely be my inspiration today and for a while. Love your ideas and work. Tfs
So glad to have found your channel! You are fabulous, my dear, and your creations...oh my! Every piece exquisite! We have the same favorite colors too! Thanks for sharing this pile of loveliness! Inspiration abounds! ❤️
Oh my goodness Gayle thank you so much! I feel so honoured!!!!! I watch/listen to several of your videos everyday! I love listening to you!!! Your series about your journal collection was great, now I want to start collecting some! Very inspiring!
You Tube recommended this and I just saw it is over 2 years old. I didn't know that and if you'll even get messages from older videos. I hope so I meant to say I loved these items and my mind is wanting to try so many of these things. I just began seeing on clusters I had made. These are so near with the stitching.
I just read your other comment about how you met your husband and about living in Italy 🇮🇹🍝🍷 so you know, I didn't notice a difference from current videos and wouldn't have thought it was your 1st. Again it maybe a love of accents ,but mostly you explain things simply and easily. I have saw so many, and oddly Shabbydabbydoo(forgive spelling) is the other person I like watching. If I am correct you're doing a collaboration currently right? I have your videos and hers in my playlist together📚📖✂️🪡🧵🇮🇹. No offense but when I first saw someone make one in this way I didn't think it went well together at all. I had to see the process and how they need a focal point and how you'll have green on a map and bring other elements in. It really isn't until after they are cut that you see how most of the odd patterns mixing don't at all clash... Rather the opposite. Take care I look forward to making And learning my style.Take care during this time in the 🌎 world.
Hi Rachel!!! I’ve been watching your channel for some time now and for some reason I decided to take a trip back in time and watch your first video!!!
