    That Italian lace is out of this world, you fortunate girl. The tin box with your stash; better this than any box of jewelry in my books..no pun intended. Thank you for sewing tips, I have not used my old machine in 20 years. Any repairs I had to do I just did by hand. I think it may have been a form of meditation. I like your videos Rachel and I loved your journal that was part of a collaboration recently. I was won over by ir. I like your soft voice it is beneficial in this noisy world. Danuta ca.

    Hello Rachel! It’s fun to watch something from so long ago! I really enjoyed the simplicity of this project, but I doubt I could make it in the same amount of time! It was interesting to watch you do all the sewing, it really makes sense to do it, although I haven’t tried sewing yet! Thanks so much, it’s a very sweet little booklet, as you said, a nice little gift for someone special! Are those your initials & did you print or sew that piece of fabric? I don’t have any page sets, so would I just use scrapbook paper double wide & fold it in half? Thanks!

    What kind of needle did you use to sew the thick paper ??

  • @gdobberteen
    @gdobberteen 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    These are very nice!!! Do you have a certain stitch length you use? I watched a video on another channel where she stitched the book down the middle and the pages tore easily and fell out. Yours don’t seem to have that problem. TFS

    • @roxycreations679
      @roxycreations679  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! My stitch length is around 2.5, I like that best. maybe her tension wasn't correct or it was all too thick??

  • @sharonwatson4085
    @sharonwatson4085 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the stitching but as I am a “sewer or seamstress” I struggle with the back tension when sewing paper. It obviously doesn’t bother people but really bothers me and would love some tips on tension. I use quality thread and have tried various needle sizes. Anyone with advice I am ready and waiting. Your finished project is lovely and inspirational! TFS!

    • @roxycreations679
      @roxycreations679  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much! I am a sewer as well. I just use regular tension and 100% cotton thread. The needle I use is the regular one recommended for cotton. When sewing on paper I also keep my stitches reasonably long around 2.5-3. I hope this helps.
