    I love how we have the same taste in mods. Prinsu is my top pick for roof rack with the time comes. What are you guys thinking about for rear bumper and lockers? LOL

      It's a great rack and has a simple but functional design. Will be interesting to see how it holds up on the tracks but from the research we've done we're pretty confident. Still deciding on those mods but when we do we'll make a video for sure!

      Hey man what's the overall hight of the rack? From roof line to top of rack
      Thanks

      Hi Paul, given the tent is now installed its quite difficult to measure in the centre of the car at the highest point on the roof. However on the side of the roof towards the outer edge of the gutter the rack measures approximately 95mm high. Feel free to get in touch at 2ndgearlow@gmail.com if you'd like some photos!

    Are all the hardware stainless steel or some sort of zinc coating? Has yours begun to rust? How severe is the sound this rack produces. Thanks for the vid!

      Hi D K, I'm not sure exactly what material the bolts are but they are anodised black and I haven't had issues with corrosion. I haven't found the wind noise to be excessive and it is significantly reduced with the deflector on. Hope this helps.

    Is a lx or a landcruiser? I have a lx and I'm wondering if install will be the same for me

      This is a landcruiser but the install will likely be very similar on an LX.

    Nice work mate 👍 DId you buy this roof rack directly from Prinsu in the US? Or is there a local distributor here in Australia?

      This roof rack was purchased from CBI Offroad in the US. Unfortunately I wasn't able to find an Australian distributor.

      Hi Philip, I used FishIsFast which is a parcel forwarding company in the US that receives it on their end and then forwards it on to Australia. Hope this helps.

    Anyone know how well it works with mounting an awning?

    • @2ndGearLow
      @2ndGearLow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Liam, there are mounting rails that run the full length of the tent that you can use to mount brackets for awnings. Motop also sell these brackets. My awning is quite heavy (around 27kg) so I chose to use the mounting rails and reinforce it by also attaching it to the roof rack using some custom made metal plates. Hope this helps! Thanks for stopping by and for your comment.
