I bought a charging dock from Aliexpress in December that also charges the controllers and headset and works well with my head strap, flat and stylish. Cost about 22euro, so far cheaper. Only issue was getting the magnetic contacts to work with a silicon facial interface- which made it unreliable sometimes and you had to wiggle it to find the sweet spot, but the lights assist with this.
Nice! Is it a halo type strap though? Most docks don’t seem to charge them too good… become floppy. Glad to hear you found something that sort of works well? lol
