This is "OPEN BOX" meaning condition new but box has been opened.
The rubber and the damage it has is due to age and the coating disintegrating and becoming sticky. I will try to do something about this at some point maybe.

hell, I have one of their radios. Half the buttons don't work because it's modern build quality and I've had it for more than a year, but the sound quality is pretty damn good.
This thing is made like trash (but it does work) and every iHome product I own is low quality

technically it doesn't have wires if you use the dock part of it, and "the dock has wires since you plug it into the wall" -- (same with wireless charging stations LOL)

Ihome was a cheap product. It was a common brand at walmart. Like the onn from what i remember. Could still find some at dollar store occasionally. Not sure now days. I still have a large dock that charged and had speakers somewhere.

I imagine that iHome doesn’t want you to use earbuds when it is unsafe to do so, like when driving.

I was hoping speakers. My iPod still works plugged in battery is not charging so mostly would use at home. Unsafely would be removing my case to charge it! Last of Silverbacks bought 2 weeks before colors but case kept it practically new with bad battery.

I seriously doubt this is worth using its probably max 5 watts but then again do old apple products go above.5 watt capability?
I have a logitech x270 with apple stand it is a decent sounding speaker for basic podcast and music or streaming from airplay/mirroring. Aside from the lack of a proper compatability of the stand and it only liking iphone 5 and below or a shuffle it works mint i use it with everything my pc, phone. Tablet, my mp3 player which is just a USB with a soldered on mm headphone jack and a screen lol, radio works, heck I even use it on my 2009 12" citizen
For me I don't care how fast things charge as long as they do.
