Is it possible to turn it off somehow in the quest 3 options, I'm almost sure that it was charging to full before? 🤔
It does suck! That's why they built the fan into the strap I think. So one battery powered both without the need to run another but I used the old batteries as spare power banks too so now I'm keeping a few of those ☹️

Could you cover that next? I’d do it myself, but I can’t speak to any bobo rep for a version. I spent my own money on the S3 :)
Got the S3 Pro and the b100 charging dock today. Gotta say, having owned the M3 Pro and having three batteries.. this one battery that I got with the S3 Pro seems to last as long as two M3 batteries. I have a 45W dual charger (goes up to 27-28W (starts to slow down when the battery is at 80%+) when it's the only one plugged in), and honestly that's pretty quick. But I'll definitely be investing in the Tobenone charger. I wanna be back up and running.
Always worrying about Porch Pirates in the States I didn't like the packaging that the Bobo stuff showed up in. Just something that is more tempting and visible. I'd prefer just a basic looking boring box/envelope.
Great video, I wanted to know how long it takes to charge one battery using the dock vs just a cable? I’m new to VR and working daily in immersed. I’m getting about 2.5 hours each battery, I’m trying to work out if I want to buy a dock or a 3rd battery. Side note if bobovr are making adaptor kits, I would love to see an adaptor that goes from the battery to USB A and C sockets so they become more than just quest batteries.
I'm cool with my 16 ft usb c 100 watt cable with 30 watt anker brick. I let it get down to 75-50 percent and plug it in. It holds the charge at whatever it was when I plugged it in. The cable is so light and long that it doesn't get in your way. I spent about $30 in all for brick and cable.
Already got a bobo vr headstrap, the one prior to this. Anyone who has the original strap, you are definitely missing out. Its worth every cent. Way easier to put on and take off and share and easily adjust to other headsets very quickly, very comfortable, never moves, highly recommend bobovr products.
The charging dock looks great but I won't buy one until they bundle it with a battery, which apparently are still in very high demand so who knows how long it will take before they start bundling things.
Great video! I have to disagree with you on one point. If your Bobovr battery and headset die, putting a fully charged battery on it, will not allow you to play. I just experienced that. I couldn’t play. The question needs to be at a certain point of charge to work. I don’t know what that is though. Thanks Jay!
Fantastic review as always! I’m waiting for my dock and two extra batteries. I wondered if we could use the CyberCore to charge this? I know it’s 120w but maybe I’ll try it and see. 😊
I agree with the overdesign comment for the new headstrap. Heck, I even found the M2 Pro strap overdesigned. I ended up keeping it but used the battery dock on my M2 Mini strap, which I find more comfortable. However, gotta love the BoboVR batteries.
Probably what was happening with the bricks is that the 100 watts was the total you'd get if you use all the ports. its a missleading stratagy that companies use. youll see it a lot with cigarette adapters in cars too
I love ur tests ...almost 3 years ago I buy my bobo m2 pro 2 after i saw your review with a lot of quest 2 strap with for each one pros and cons... But for this one i ame confuse: did you mange to get infinit play time with ONLY 2 battery ?one charging and the other on the strap and the dock Does the charging one fully charged when the other is "dead"? Does the the quest battery rest stable with it? Same question for Ar mode vr mode and air link mode
The dock is on the way. I purchased the cheaper Anker 100w charger. Model 317 I believe. it has just one USB port on it. Hopefully it does what it is supposed to. I only have two batteries though, so it shouldn't be a big concern. By the way the fan on the S3 Pro is fantastic. Get warmed up, then turn it on.... it works really well. I can see how you might not notice if you turn it on before you start sweating.
@@raynlaze1339 I don't have three batteries to see if it gets the full 90 watts or close. It seemed to do 27 to 28 watts with one and close to 60 with 2. I don't remember how much it was giving with two because I'm usually just charging one. I think it will be good enough eitherway. I will say I feel like my OnePlus 9 charger, though only 65 watts, seems more stable. Stays solid at 28 instead of bouncing between 27 and 28.
@@SaltedSlug85 That seems pretty good! I also only have 2. I tried using my oneplus 11 charger, since it says 100W on it.. but it only seems to give me 18W for some reason.
I ordered the S3 twice and cancelled it twice on Amazon, it’s just far too heavy and looks cumbersome. It’s not over engineered, it’s less customizable like their quest 2 accessories, aka some don’t need or want the fan. I ended up loving the Kiwi elite strap with their velcro 10,000mah battery pack for hot swapping the packs on the top strap instead. Neck fan is all I need vs air circulating inside my headset.

That case from the teaser better fit all this crap they’re making me buy loooool 😂
It...
...does
There's the KLIK 100W USB-C GaN Wall Charger Model KWC100CA or the ASUS ROG AC100-00 that gives 100w using only the usb-c (at least on paper)
I bet the Bobo cable isn’t really a 100 watt cable
I remember you saying couple of videos ago, that they made these batteries for charging everything...
In reality I dont mind, I have had trouble with charging the battery with a power bank, so its cool with me but the price is just eh
Try UGreen brand chargers next time. I find they're a lot more reliable than the Anker ones and actually supply the rated voltages properly.
Do you have a new recommendation for a charging brick? I know you said the one you initially recommended didn't fit the bill.
Yesss, I use bobos all the time to charge my phone! Heehee
These might not work for your phone, well mines doesn't work...so I don't know about that
I guess we gotta keep the old bobos just for phones
@leoneljoseph6357 yea the new ones don't work. The old ones do, though!
I want a stock strap adapter for the quest 3 bobo batteries like with the adapter for the stock quest 2 strap...
But for this one i ame confuse: did you mange to get infinit play time with ONLY 2 battery ?one charging and the other on the strap and the dock
Does the charging one fully charged when the other is "dead"? Does the the quest battery rest stable with it?
Same question for Ar mode vr mode and air link mode
I use the fan, great for intense gaming
Will a quest 3 headset dock charge the bobo battery when it's installed on the quest?
I love my S3 Pro but this stuff is wayyy to pricy. The M2/3 Battery came with a charger for 50€ flat. Now they want 102€. That's a hard pass from me.
My dock has shipped but not the battery… seems a bit wasteful to not ship the entire order…
Wow man! Thanks for all the testing. I'm sure it was terrible being in VR all that time lol
I'm passing on the charging dock. I don't use the fan on the headset.
yje ears look so fun
Awww thanks! (=✪ᆽ✪=)
can the B100U be added to any headset? I don't really like halo straps, I really like my Kiwi Elite style strap.
no you cant, he said it at 6:10
You got the POWER! [:]~))
Hope the new carrying case is coming soon too
The dock is on the way.
So how does your charger work? Does it supply enough watt?
@@raynlaze1339 I don't have three batteries to see if it gets the full 90 watts or close. It seemed to do 27 to 28 watts with one and close to 60 with 2. I don't remember how much it was giving with two because I'm usually just charging one. I think it will be good enough eitherway. I will say I feel like my OnePlus 9 charger, though only 65 watts, seems more stable. Stays solid at 28 instead of bouncing between 27 and 28.
@@SaltedSlug85 That seems pretty good! I also only have 2. I tried using my oneplus 11 charger, since it says 100W on it.. but it only seems to give me 18W for some reason.
code doesnt work
Workaround only to charge other devices? This is a future junk/ e-waste product line. Disappointed and boycotting.
