Glad it was helpful! The Playseat it is not perfect for the Fanatec's but it does an acceptable job. You just need to be careful with the weight balance
I also have this seat, I mounted the pedals on a wooden plate, which I then fixed to the pedal bracket with M25 clamps. Everything works perfectly.

Hola, gracias por el video, es muy útil, recibí hace dos días el gt dd pro y aún estoy viendo como lo ajusto a playseat challengue..la parte que veo más dificil es el tema de los pedales...voy a probar a ponerlos como dices con la madera detrás, muchas gracias

Buenas! Buen video y muy instructivo. En mi caso yo solucioné la fijación de la pedalera con bridas. Queda lo suficiente robusto y no se me mueve. En cuanto a la plancha de soporte del volante, al ponerlo tan atrás se mueve bastante, tal como indica en su video. Por eso opté a fijarla con los tornillos centrales. El inconveniente es que la base DD Pro sólo se puede fijar con dos tornillos, pero para mi gusto queda más robusto. A la larga seguramente deba de recolocar la base del volante, ya que sin ese tercer tornillo central seguramente se desplace a la izquierda o derecha por las fuerzas aplicadas.

Yes, you just need to be careful to the weight balance, the wheel base easily can turn the seat forward or sideways if you push it in the right way. If I had an option because of space, I would use a different seat, even a wheel base and a chair but I don't, so this is the best alternative.
@@QuesadillaRacing yeah indeed, just use something like a sport bag and put in umder the seat, so it won‘t turn over.
I am watching for a seat, but I can‘t find a convincing concept, so I will try it the first as you do.
Do you use the screws which come with the playseat challenge in order to fix the base? Mine are too big for the GT DD pro, then it’s moving..
Yes, I used those ones. I am not sure of the term in English but you can use whasers (? not sure if this is the name)

Venían con la base. Sino cualquier tornillo que funcione con profile de aluminio jala.Usa este término en Google y te salen algunos 'aluminium profile sim racing screws'
muy bien tu video, aunque te hubiera recomendado primero cambiar de cockpit antes que de volante, es un poco mas importante tener mas rigidez donde te sientas que el volante. Saludos
El problema es que no tengo espacio, aunque me hubiera gustado cambiar el rig no tengo donde ponerlo. Y el Playseat no esta tan mal, es lo suficientemente rígido para soportar el embate del direct drive. Y difiero en lo que comentas, en este caso la DD Pro vs G29 y los mejores pedales de ambas (ni siquiera los de cell) hacen una diferencia que ningún rig hubiera podido igualar.
To stop the shaking I would personally move the wheel base closer to the fixing plastic screw. It should be possible to center the base plate and move it closer to the center of gravity. You could actually only you 2 mounting screws for the fanatec wheel base or drill a hole on the other side
That is a good idea. Other have commented about 3 holes, but one I think that I might do

Depende. Si se que voy a usarlo al otro día lo dejo ahí pero si no lo guardo. Cómo en el mismo espacio hago home-office muchas veces lo cierro. Pero es tan sencillo que te toma 1 o 2 minutos cerrarlo y guardarlo.

Exacto, en mi caso mi esposa usa la oficina y yo el sofa para el home office, pero me cuelga de las que sabemos si dejo la silla en la sala todo el dia. Lo preguntaba mas por si el motor queda en la silla, o el Drive solo se desliza y sale? Saludos :)

answer is yes..had to install exactly like you 😊 and found a "one simple move " to make it "sturdissimo"... 👍👍
Unless you want to drill some holes in the plate I think is the only way. I am not brave or even skill full enough to try the hole method (there is a comment about it) but it might work
@@QuesadillaRacing used your method with 3 but mounted somethiing else and quickly removable..just underneath edge of metal plate and down to the floor to compensate for vertical oscillations .. and now is supersturdy... a metal bar with calculated height with rubbers on both end and finally Pschallenge structure is extremely rigid.... the throttle and brake pedals are distantiated enough and so when driving dont even realise is there
Me gustaría preguntar si en el playseat challenge mejor el dd pro de 5 nm o el de 8nm tambien vale. Me refiero si se mueve mucho?
Se mueve pero no mucho, yo tengo el 8Nm y esta ok.

Creo que depende del juego. En Project Cars muestra el cambio en el que estas. Como la primera base que me llego tuvo falla no me he metido a picarle mucho a la configuracion. 1) are you on 5 nm?
2) how to stabilise metal plate from vertical shaking is the challenge.. currently I am using a metal bar of~ 60 cm with rubber ends and some micrometric adjustment that I place in between metal plate front and floor to reduce oscillations. Have to place it and remvove it each time I seat yet quite effective. For the future still investigating
Yes, on 5 nm. I ordered the 8 but I am not sure I would need it, FF is strong compared to my old G29, so getting use to. I think I should upgrade the seat, but I am constrained in space, so for now, not ideal but the Playseat it is.
@@QuesadillaRacing same for me is not a matter of cost but really space.. so Ps challenge id the only viable... and if you make more videos about your combo ddpro+ps challenge would be very keen to watch it...😉 good job !

En mi caso mantuve el plato en sus fijaciones originales e hice 3 agujeros nuevos, de modo tal que el peso de la base quede justo por sobre el caño y la verdad que de esa manera no se mueve casi nada.
Si, esa es otra opción que han comentado. En mi caso no he sido tan valiente para taladrar los agujeros nuevos.
I was considering to take the playseat challenge (for sure because of place) and maybe the Grand Turismo DD Pro but now i don't know because of that brake thing and the wheel that shakes haha . That or the thrustmaster t300rs gt

@@sharko108 Nope, not yet. I would recommend to buy the Fanatec DD Pro over the T300RS. I have both and the Fanatec is much better on the wheel and the pedals. In that case get a better seat, something more sturdy like the Next Level Racing, I haven't tried the Fanatec there but the T300RS works perfectly well in the Next Level Racing, so much probably the Fanatac would do too as both are much powerfull than the G29 that was in the Playseat

Im not sure yet because this will be my first sim racing Gear , fanatec DD pro IS not before march and not much feedback with playseat and yes i have Seen that other chair but bigger and reviews look to say it moves as much as playseat and i dont have Space for Real cockpit. As a newbie maybe i wont probably feel the différence with/without DD and a Bad Seat could make lose All DD benefits i Guess?
@@sharko108 Bummer, if the space is an issue nothing beats the Playseat (except attaching directly to the desk or a wheel stand, but are not as fun) The wheel and the pedals will make a lot of different (more the pedals in my opinion) even if the seat is rubbish. In the same seat (this one) I do much better in the Fanatec than with the G29. I think it is more the pedals rather than the stronger FF, but definitely you feel more on the Fanatec (cones, curbs, etc.) As newbie, the TM I think is a good start.

It will be a really good start , maybe I wont need to feel the smooth of a DD plus , the GT édition have better pedals than the normal t300 RS:) and maybe later if i still play and need more, i will go for a fanatec DD and New Seat if i move away ahah

Cuanto te tardo en llegar y cuando pediste gt dd pro?
Como 2-3 semanas, la pedi un poco despues de que salio (no recuerdo cuando) y llego como el 12 de Diciembre, pero llego con falla y me tuvieron que enviar una nueva, igual esa tardo como 2 semanas.

La diferencia es mar y tierra. La fuerza que tiene la DD es increible comparada con la G29, y los pedales ni se diga. El estandar (5nm y pedales normales) es suficiente, pero si aun quieres mas, la de 8Nm y el freno de celda, increible ...

@@Gmzshortys De 5 a 8 se siente diferencia, es mucho mas facil corregir oversteering y controlas autos 'nerviosos' comos los FR o RR mucho mejor. Pero los 150 y pico de diferencia en costo no es minima. Si estas empezando, igual espera un poco, si quieres mejorar y tienes nivel regular igual si vale la pena.
Ese cockpit no está preparado para esa base, por eso vibra.
Ehhhhh, si, sabemos. Pero por espacio es eso o una G29 :-)

Lo que hace la necesidad ... 😃 Si tuviera espacio la montaba en algo mejor
