- So after taking Gabe's car for a spin I let him get behind the wheel of my 2019 Mustang GT with a Whipple supercharger so he could give it a shot. I also ended up giving him a little ride so he could really experience the power of the Whipple Gen 5 blower! It's a bit intimidating the first time you drive it since it does tend to get loose.

Nothing better than, after doing a pull and you can't help but just laugh your ass off.. it's one of the best feelings ever.. even if you're having a horrible day, no matter whqt is going on in your life, when you have no traffic around you, and soon as you downshift and hit it.. nothing matters not the bills, not the job, nothing, just you and pure bliss. I have that interior. Never gets old.
Whipples are great, but hard to use the low end power/tq and alot of strain on motor. The procharger will offer better power in the mid to high rpm range were you need it.
Whipples feel faster due to the sudden tq but in most cases the PC is faster.
Can't go wrong with either.
I believe this is true tq just makes it feel fast until mid range hit
Love the low end torque, this is one of the reasons why I sold my novi 2200 Paxton, whipple changed everything.

After having a short shifter in my B5 Audi S4 for awhile back in the day, ill just leave the factory short shifter in any manual sport car I get, especially a newer one.

Would prefer a whipple but torque breaks stuff don’t trust the voodoo. Also would loose front strut brace.
Also more predictable power with procharger and shouldn’t have traction issues

You will need a good tire for the p1x. Especially for 2nd gear pulls at high rpm.
I agree I love the power of the work phone in the park but it’s a heavy unit it takes more horsepower to spend it then upload charger and it sucks up the heat so much worse than any other unit out there Procharger easy to install easy to remove it makes same horse power
I want to do this same thing but with an automatic. I feel like I’m not good enough of a driver to handle this much hp as my first manual

You always want your hand on 9-3 or 10-2 when driving fast you have more control.

Great way to test it out go over an uneven road at 30 mph while grabbing the wheel with 1 arm and you'll see how much the steering wheel moves compared to using the 2 arm technique.
Why not use the paddle shifters
Pro charger gives you a great sound but that’s it! Supercharger is the way to go!

The procharger gives u top end while the twin screw gives u low end but if u wanna be fast procharger is the way to because of top end and plus with the twin screw the traction is even worse

So now hold on a sec. If I am driving on the highway say 70 miles an hour and this both mustangs floor it to 160mph, if I am understanding correctly the pro charged car would pull ahead of the whippled charged car correct ? Because the nature of the pro charger ?

He did have stock half shafts when he first installed s/c. He ended up upgrading them later. Stock half shafts are fine unless you’re constantly doing digs and launching.

You said you took out your clutch spring assist.. does this lead to any premature wear or potentially hurt my clutch at all? I installed the steeda spring but it didn't tighten up the way i wanted
I just saw this rewatching this video. I took mine out and never had any leaks however it created improper load on the metal tube (can’t remember the name ) that goes from the pedal to the clutch housing and that part snapped in half. Took four years tho. Also, the pedal itself broke off but that was probably related to the shitty spot welds Ford used. Had to spent $1100 replacing the pedal box and all the associated parts.
Looking at selling or trading my 08 gt500, Im looking at the mach-1 and supercharging it, I would prefer a 2020 gt350 but im scared as hell to supercharge it and blow enternals.
I’d keep the gt500.

Hey Rush, did you respect the break in period on it?
I ve been gentle with mine so far having 1K miles on my vrand new GT. I did like dozen of pulls no more while ensuring all the temperatures were high enought before doing so and the rest of the time driving below 3000 RPM.
I ll be doing an oil change soon. Did you apply kinda similar break in?
Ahh....the old "take it easy" to break it in idea...unfortunately that's a recipe for an engine that will consume oil. Not the correct way to breakin the engine.
what do you do to afford your cars?
A lot of the guys I know with modded and stock zl1, vipers, vetts, GTs, hellcats, etc. have a trade. They're plumbers, mechanics, truck drivers (like myself), electricians, construction, or some other trade. They have a specialized skill that required training.
It's harder to afford this stuff with any old job paying low hourly wages. It takes longer but it's not like you're dropping 30k into the ride you're paying off. Maybe 7-10g, but it's possible.
You gotta be committed especially if it's your daily. And no matter what you have to work for it.
