  • Today we're talking about a classic of Japanese literature, The Setting Sun by Osamu Dazai. I recently finished reading this book, and I fell in love with Dazai as a writer all over again. It's a very different book from No Longer Human, so if that's your primary exposure to Dazai's work (it was for me), you are in for a surprise. Both books are beautiful, though, and I recommend them, even with the vintage translations.
