My pin will not come out
Great video. Thank you for sharing. It helped a lot and got it done quickly. Plastic end of shift lever broken
my linkage t30 bolts are tight and my bushings for the shifter shaft are not wiped out. my slop is actually in that cavity where the handle goes into and is secured by the pin. is there a way to tighten this up? i am almost about to cut up some feeler gauges and stick them in there...
There's a couple of set screws where the cable attaches to the column linkage. Sometimes those will come loose and create a lot of slop. My truck was like that when I bought it.
Subscribed because I tried it myself and it worked. Great directions!! Detailed. Anyone can do it with this video
Great video. The plastic switch end of mine just broke completely off.
Did this job very recently. You should replace the two bushings on the rod the shifter is attached to. If the shift handle is old enough to have broken, the bushings will be well worn. With the bushings and handle replacement, it feels like a new truck when changing gears.
Perfect video. No Frills or talking about that one time at band camp. Good visuals. 10/10 make more ❤
Thanks for being direct without giving the history of transportation. Quick and thorough.
FIRST VIDEO I CAME ACROSS AND GOTTA SAY BET VIDEO IVE CAME ACROSS.
Amen hallelujah praise GOD he has what you need
You never said to remove the entire dash 😂
This video shows how to replace the handle, not the actual shifter lever.
+@robertdevito5001 This video does show how to replace the Automatic Transmission Shift Lever.
Great video, clear and to the point. Like everyone else in the comments the plastic end broke off. Thankfully the aftermarket one I got is metal all the way through. :)
Great video! Made it simple for me to do at home. You are a great help for all of us shade tree mechanics!!!
Super easy if we chose to listen. My only challenge was reinstalling key switch. Although I watched twice, I didn't use observation during removal.
Yeah, I need to find out how to switch it from the bottom underneath where it's where you adjust it and keep it tight and mind kind of broke down there
At 4:00 ..there’s a clip-thing in that hole. What is it? I thought I’d need to replace it.
Thanks for the walk-through. My guages kept dying on me whenever I moved the shifter, fuse would blow; turned out to be pinched wire at base of shifter causing a short.
Replaced via your instructions. 100% good now.
+Seize Today Thanks for watching our video! 1aau.to/m/Shop-TRQ
Is a ford f250 the same as an explorer with fixing the shift leaver??
You're freaking awesome doing great videos like this one.... Clear, simple, in point. 👏👏👏👏
Video was great. I did mine easy but now truck keeps beeping if key is removed. What did I do wrong?
Thank you very much for your exelent video
Very helpful, thanks!!!
Good video learned what I needed to know. Even the obvious things you need to do. Thank you for the lesson
Is this the same for ford recursion
Awesome job on video. You did a good thorough job leaving nothing to guess.
Is this the same for a powerstroke?
Does this fix my gear won’t stay in park
There's other videos on that problem. I think with the same guys. Seems like it's just a few screws under your shifter that needs lock tight to secure the screws. Look through their videos hope it can help you.
Thanks for a great video!
Thank you very much for this video. I watched about 10 others and you were the only one to say disconnect the battery. You also did a great job explaining how to do it. When my new one arrived earlier today, I went right out took my time, and completed it in an hour. Now my instrument pannel works again!!!
What kind of lubricant was used for install
Just use some Super Lube Grease.
Perfect video
thanks
Thank you
Thanks, but
1) would like to have known a few of the reasons for the replacement
2) what are all of the parts that come with the replacement arms
Does the pin come with the replacement arm?
3) what does the arm attached to at the column?
