FR. I felt that. ✊ Always hated the term "wife beater", and it comes up over and over bc I do wear a lot of that style shirt.😔 It's deplorable for a number of reasons (fashion comes up with the WORST names for things, like Kinder Whore and Harem Pants). I have a white wife lover tank with the words Boy Beater on it, bc I hate that term so much and want to point out the inherent misogyny. /end tangent
TL:DR -Jade is the best

Trucker hat- They don't make cute hats for big craniumed people😒
Vaycay button ups- a staple, I love getting them at thrift stores it adds extra flavour
My addition would be belts they are super underrated but a belt can add add color, texture and boundaries to a lewk

Hi Jade! Love your videos. They've been sooo helpful. However I have a gentle critique: I really wish you showed more examples of these pieces on different kinds of bodies that aren't just tall and skinny with no curves. I'm finding it really hard to be fully comfortable presenting masc or androgynous when the only examples I can find are non-men who are very thin, flat-chested and have no butt! I would love to see how these pieces look on you since we have similar body types. It would be cool to see how menswear pieces look on bigger men too
hello! i totally get it - it's been difficult finding example photos with plus sized bodies in this particular space. i also don't want to give info on something I don't know about. i'm on the smaller side and have only dressed my body (small waist, big boobs, no hips), i don't know what someone with a bigger body might run into when getting dressed because that's not my experience. there's another level of attention that gets added when talking bigger sizing in menswear as well for AFAB bodies. all this to say, i'll continue do my best to be inclusive in my language, but i run into the same issues you all do when trying to find plus size menswear content/examples.
the last two are my staples, i love them sm. i love those like loose all over printed shirts with that funky lil collar, they're so sophisticated yet relaxed. and the hat is a necessity!! i have curly thick hair and you know I'm not doing that head for a grocery store run!! hats for days

One request- Would you ever consider listing the products you recommend in the descriptions? It would be so helpful to have that to refer back to when I’m out shopping and can’t remember exactly what style of t shirt you recommended. my absolute FAVORITE blazer (one of my fav pieces in general really) is a vintage jil sander deep brown double breasted blazer I got for 40 bucks at a consignment store. I have that structure without it looking costume. The shoulders and tailoring are impeccable. It's seriously stunning. I highly suggest vintage jil sander (realreal or whatever) for masculine cuts on curvy people.

I came into my own in the 80s and the androgenous look for women was HUGE and for some reason i clung to it. I would be the only girl in the city going to work wearing a suit and tie for decades, slacks and blazer and shirt etc. Then, 5 years ago i got sick so leggings and a top became my new uniform. Now, for some reason, after nothing in my closet is original because ive gaine a fair bit of weight, (was a size 6-8, not anymore) i want to get back to it on a much smaller scale of course. I am looking to thrift a few more pieces as a blazer, a new trench, a shirt or 2 and a vest are at the top of my list. Because of this, i have been looking for inspiration on the TH-cam's 😅 but you seem to be the only one to give me this inspiration, good grief, meatime, for what my own channel has, there are 10 billion other videos 😂 thank you, now im going to go put makeup on to get more inspiration 😘💖😘💖😘💖😘💖😘💖😘
I like dad blazers and that wide shoulder part. But I find it difficult to cope with a sleeve lenght that covers too much of my hands.

i grit my teeth and pay to get the sleeves shortened because i hate the look of sweater paws and many, many blazers or coats have ridiculously long sleeves on me
I loved this video, but not in the typical sense on why I usually love your videos... I've been watching and following your stuff for what seems like just over a year now, and I've collected so many amazing tips and fassion advice from you along the way. But while watching this video I was looking at my current outfit & my recent purchases and I feel like almost all of them are things that fall under this list, from using blazers in street wear, getting a pair of loafers, wearing caps more, I've even been really vibing with the dad holiday shirt vibe recently and I've just been feeling great in my fassion style atm. Right now Target is booming with the nice flowing vacation button downs. I bought like 4 since it was super affordable. I feel like daddy when I wear it. Lol I need a classic white tee & tank top now. Thanks Jade for your masculine guidance! 😂 My fashion has come a long way.
It took me almost 30 years to accept the white shirt game, it's really the thing that can sometimes just bring your whole fit together.

As someone incredibly short, lengthening my silhouette is very important so I'm STILL scared of oversized pieces. but these shoulders are broad, yes... so i often feel seen and maybe slightly unheard from the tallies walking around in platform sneakers but hey. that's okay. we work with it. am I spiraling in your comments? anyways great vid per usual, love ya xo

omg yes I need loafers. just for whenever I need to dress up like funerals or weddings. just one really good pair I can keep for life. so far I've been wearing black ballet flats but they are sooo uncomfortable. not to mention starting to fall apart.
I am 5’1 (with a short torso to boot) and oversized anything looks pretty terrible on me. I look frumpy and not put together. And yet…I love more androgynous styles 😢
