I don’t know if you’ll see this or not, but I have a 65 289 block that I’m trying to build as a high rpm engine, and I was just wondering what parts you used to get that 7600 rpm limit. Thx
An old timers secret , 53 cc early heads and 30 thou valve spring shims , tweak your points spring tighter . 518 lift , 322 duration cam . 7800 rpm or close . Your welcome , and you will thank me later . Oh , and exhaust porting a must . You dont need all that high dollar garbage .
Thanks, I was thinking of doing Keith black .2 domed pistons with 54.5 cc heads from the 289, but was unsure if the compression would be too high, or if 11.5:1 would add too much stress on the stock rotating assembly.
That made me feel things. 😍
The small block FORD just sounds so pissed off!!! I love it!
Awesome, the background music takes away from the video a bit but nonetheless a beautiful symphony of horsepower, just beautiful
Nicely done
Man, sounds like a screaming eagle.
Watched it 10x

The only reason I’m doing new pistons is because I need to rebore the block anyways
