I tried the previous version of the Gravity Pro and did not care for the feel. I was tempted to take the Auxetic out for a spin but bought the Aux Speed Pro and Boom Pro without playtesting. I like both but give the edge to the Speed Pro. The thing I’ve found is that the Speed Pro rewards you with high RPMs and good court penetration when you swing it fast. It is not a frame that will give you free points if the racquet speed drops off. I’ve also won matches with the Boom Pro but I keep more balls in play with the Speed and also prefer the softer feel. Now if there is one downside that the Aux Speed Pro has that I agree with the play testers on, it’s that it can get pushed around by heavy hitters if you are not controlling the point. I think the key is to take advantage of the control offered by the 18x20 and move your opponent around (especially if you’re slice game is tight-that baby produces a skid that stays low to the court surface). At the end of the day, I don’t fear getting into trouble by big hitters because I never leave home without my trusty IG Prestige Mids being in my bag. If things get too intense, I call for backup! 😅 As one final point which I found to be interesting if nothing else… For some strange reason, though the Speed is 100sq in and the Boom Pro is 98, the Speed feels smaller (and that’s coming from someone with a semi-western forehand and a one-handed backhand)… Go figure. Anyway… Nice review guys; I enjoyed watching it! P.S. For those that want a bit more plow through on the Speed Pro without a major drop in racquet speed, I’m happy to report that of all the mods I’ve tried, including weight at a.) 3/9 o’clock, b.) 2/10 o’clock, c.) replacing stock grip with a leather grip… the best increase in plow without a noticeable difference in racquet speed/swingweight was simply adding one Technifibre tungsten strip at 12 o’clock. It also gave me more action on my topspin shots and kick serve.
In my opinion, I tried - all of them (Head) , its the Gravity pro for me. I also like the boom pro. But mind the head quality control. Finally, I do prefer Prince and Yonex rackets. I already sold my Speed pro's and kept my gravuty's

As I mentioned, it’s my racquet of choice now. Even sold my Yonex Ezone (2022). There is also a version of speed pro that’s 315 grams and a frame that’s 22mm wide if you don’t like the 23mm. No reason to rush, HEAD has had a better reception to the pro-stock Gravity Pro than they could have dreamed with the racquet being adopted by Zverev, Rublev and Barty (also Bashvilli). When has a brand new hairpin ever been taken on so readily by tour pros who are typically creatures of habit and prefer to stick with their old trusty stick (but with most recent paintjob). In 10-15yrs time, the current Gravity Pro will be as sought after as racquets like the iPrestige and IG Prestige are today.
Looking forward to the Extreme auxetic review. I was trying out the vcore pro 100 and it has good feel but it’s a bit slower and grabs the ball less than the extreme tour. Will try a few Grapplesnake strings also.
That is a very smart shirt! I think the most important factor in comparing these racquets though is the number of Wimbledon titles won in the last week.

i feel the grav pro is quite demanding to play. i felt it when i switch back to blade v8, i played better than the grav pro so i am deciding to sell the grav pro
To me, the Auxetic Speed rackets play much stiffer than their RA number. They give me a shock response when I swing all out (particularly on serves) or hit even a bit off center, and some arm pain, even though I am not prone to arm problems. The flexing and twisting that you mention may be the reason. In contrast, the Gravity line has no vices and plays true to its RA number. I love the way the Speeds move through the air but the Gravity rackets, particularly the Tour, settle down better over the course of long hitting sessions. The Gravity rackets are deceptive -- they create more spin and speed than I think I'm getting; I think I'm hitting at 80% but I'm getting 95% results, which is a good thing. I wish the Speeds didn't cause me problems because the whippy feel and the sensation for the first few shots with the Speeds are lovely, but after a while, I am reaching for a different racket. I'm a big topspin, big follow through, 52 year old player. Some people have no such issues with the Speed auxetic line, and if that's you, congrats, I envy you a bit.
y’all should try to take a budget build and spec it out to a decent player frame. along the same lines of customizing the fake wilson blade. something like a babolat boost or wilson burn, head PWR series idk
thanks for the suggestion! I have actually been thinking about doing this. Was going to look at a Head Instinct, but I think you are right, a Babolat Boost might be better.
Thanks so much for the review. Crazy hearing about the flexing of the Speed. Is that new to this generation or was the last one deforming like this to?
i felt that the flexing was present in the last one as well, but more significant in the top third of the hoop. The last one had a pretty heavy stock swingweight, so you could plowthrough the flexing much easier. The Auxetic has a more consistent flex throughout the hoop, and it doesnt really become an issue unless you are in extreme situations with a very hard hitter. I have to be hitting at 70-80% power for Simon to notice it, Simon has to be hitting at 90+% power for me to notice it.
I'am right in a racket project, lengthen up a Gravity MP Lite by half an inch ;) I love the 16/20 I have read, the added swingweight will be about 10g for every added quarter inch. So you have any experiencies about this?
i dont have any experience extending racquets, but there should be a quadratic increase in SW. The units for SW are kgcm^2, so the farther the weight is from the handle, the greater the increase in SW. SO your first quarter inch might add 10pts, but your next quarter inch will add a little more
I am currently playing w Gravity Pro, Radical Pro and primarily the Boom Pro. I absolutely love the feel and the power I get with the Gravity. But to get a more whippy versatile weapon I go Boom. Depending on how my strokes are on a given day I can go either either one of these 3. All great. I have been curious about the Speed but the unstableness vs heavy hitters keeps me away.
I truly dont think that the Speed Pro offers much that the three racquets you currently have don't. I honestly haven't picked up the Speed Pro since this video because it doesn't make me want to play tennis that much.
It's weird to hear that Speed is actually better in feel than Gravity, because of what people write and say all around the web. I haven't tried yet the Speed but since I'm using a Gravity MP with leather grip and am not happy about it I relate to what you say. I honestly don't feel the Gravity MP, I'm not happy about it after 6 full of months of play. For the last 5 years I used Prestige IG MP, Prestige Touch Tour and finally Prestige Touch S - all with leather grip. I downgraded as wanted to find a better weight to handle, with the S I found it but the head size was very much not forgiving - I play with an attacking style in very heavy top spin, western grip. I had a very small break with a Radical MP with leather grip, I found it nice and powerful. In the end, I came anyway to choose the Gravity as I was intrigued by what everyone says, that is close to older frames and so on. Now, at this stage, would you guys say I should go back to Radical MP, perhaps a Prestige, or Speed MP might go just fine? In all cases I'll take the leather grip with me. I'm around at 5 to 5.5 NTRP level.
I still do not like the Speed layup very much. I find it too flexy and unpredictable. We still have the Speed and I honestly haven't used it since. I think the Radical MP is a great frame. A good buddy of mine used the Flexpoint and Microgel Prestige MP for like 15 years, but a shoulder injury has forced him to find a new racquet. He ended up settling on the Radical MP and hasn't looked back.
I would like you to compare Speed pro versus Gravity team; these two are more suitable for comparison. Indeed, in the near future you may use the Auxetic Gravity Team which will make the comparison totally relevant? Thanks for the efforts, your reviews are more informative than the Tennis Warehouse reviews that I was depending on for many years. I am subscribing and will support too.
Thanks for your support! I haven't tried the Gravity Team. I don't think I could give it a proper review because I would have to add a substantial amount of weight to the Gravity Team to get it into my spec range.
Hey guys, thanks for the great detailed review. I know they both have an ra of 62, but which do you think is more arm friendly? The Speed due to lower static and swing weight?
It depends how you define "arm friendly," I suppose. I define it as comfort on impact, meaning more weight and swingweight increase arm friendliness. The Gravity is more plush and comfortable imo. I've already read of people experiencing discomfort with the Speed.
@@TennCom thanks....I have a slightly sensitive elbow and currently play with the gravity pro so was wondering if switching to the speed might ease som discomfort, but judging by your answer I'll stick with the gravity.
Good review. I tried the Speed MP a few weeks ago (not the Speed Pro) and I had the same feeling about the Auxetic technology. Nice feel but once my hitting partner started hitting big serves, I just couldn’t hit a solid return, many ended in the net or soft returns to the middle of the court. Also when I hit my serves high in the head, it lost all the power. Probably the Speed Pro will a bit better thanks to the extra 10 gr weight, but after testing the MP I lost interest in trying the Pro. Will definitely demo Gravity Pro.
That’s exactly how I feel but in reverse. After trying the Pro, zero interest in the MP. New Gravity’s in Q1 2023 apparently. Not sure how Auxetic will be in those, hopefully better.
I got an Ikea Ivar shelving system. The silver base is a very long handle option from the Ikea Pax. There is a support bar which holds the handles up, which is an Ikea kitchen towel rack. The racquets are carefully balanced and have a tendency to come crashing down.
Both are similar. At lower levels, most will get more spin from the Speed because its light enough to accelerate quickly to access spin. At the high level, I think the Gravity will deliver more spin due to high swingweight and a more efficient energy return.
new Radicals coming out by the end of 2022 so I probably wont review the current one. I did review it when I worked for Courtside though: th-cam.com/video/w7aeSF-GFvo/w-d-xo.html
This is just the video i was waiting for! Been with the gravity pro for some months, but i fel in love for the speed pro. One is best for serves and volleys, the other a cannon for backhands, forehands and slices. Can we merge the two into one? lol
I would prefer the Gravity in doubles because you can take returns super early and I feel more confident volleying with it. Some may prefer the maneuverability of the Speed though.
No sadly. It’s always been a racquets I’ve really wanted to try, but Volkls presence in Canada is pretty limited and I’ve only ever maybe seen one or two in person
Good morning, I have a question. Some say that stiffness determines whether one racket is more powerful than another, but others say that it is the power scale or psi that determines it. If you can clarify that for me, I would appreciate it, because it happens that the radical, for example, has 65 RA while the speed pro 2022 has 61 RA, which suggests that the radical is more powerful but when you look at the power scale, the radical has 200 and the speed pro 300 suggesting that the speedpro is more powerful. Thank you very much for answering .
The number one determinant of power, as illustrated in Tennis Warehouse's lab testing, is the player's swingspeed. The second is the "hitting weight," which can be approximated by the racquet's swingweight. Force = mass x acceleration. If we accept that a racquet's power is the amount of force applied to the ball, then the heavier the racquet, the more power, but also the faster the swing. So getting the heaviest racquet you can still swing fast will yield the most power. Beyond that, it's about optimizing for energy transfer. Stiffer frames, thicker beams and larger heads will increase the efficiency of the collision between the racquet and the ball. Head's CPI is an approximation for all of these factors, however, they also take into account a racquet's target audience. For example, Team, Lite or PWR racquets have high CPI's even though they are theoretically lower powered due to a lower swingweight.
@@TennComThank you very much for responding. But it happens that in the case of the radical pro, which weighs 315 grams, since it weighs 5 grams more than the head speed pro 2022, it suggests that it transmits more power. Actually I would like to know which one transmits more power. The radical pro or the head speed pro? . Thank you very much once again.
@@shalomleal7975 it depends. I personally hit harder with the Radical Pro, but if you happened to get a Speed Pro with a higher swingweight, then it would likely have more power.
Which racket has a more open mains for more spin n ball grab potential ...some 18x20 are to closed in the middle of racket and have no spacing in middle main strings
Tried both these sometime ago and Speed with some weight felt quite stable and not too flexxy either. I also prefer the feel of Speed. Play with Vcore 95 mainly and rhe Speed gave me more power and forgiveness if I need it vs Vcore 95, whereas Gravity didnt add anything special to me.. so as always it depends..
Im a 3.0 -3.5 player (playing for 2,5 years, once a week just with a friend - no competitive yet). 33year old male. I like to hit big from the baseline more, than rushing through the net. I’m trying to play with spin but I’m not the best spin player of my technique. So if I try to hit winners, I often shoot em too flat and they are going too long - out. I’m actually playing the 2023 head extreme mp, because I thought „if I’m not good enough to generate spin with a good technique, maybe the extreme mp can help me with it. But now I’m thinking, maybe I need a more control friendly racket. I’m thinking of the speed or the gravity line. But I don’t know which is better for me and which model i should take (MP, Tour, Pro of gravity or speed) What do you suggest me to get?
Speed MP. Small step towards control and you get really great sensations of spin from that racquet so you'll be able to feel if you are getting good topspin which should help you a lot.
The previous Speed Pro had a lot of flex for me, but mostly in the upper hoop. Even though the old one had a good swingweight, it almost felt brittle in the upper third of the stringbed.
@@TennCom I didn't knew a new Gravity was coming out. I have the MP from 2019. What do you think about putting a lether cushiongrip on it? I'm feeling my groundstroke weak a lot of times. All the best from Brazil. I like your channel a lot.
Thanks for watching! Really appreciate the support. I love leather grips, but I use them more for the pronounced feel of the bevels rather than the extra weight. So I’d probably go for.
Does the gpro offer much over the 97D? Despite me having a whippy stroke, have hit with the yonex but debating just blind buying the gpro if it does everything slightly better…assuming I get one on or below spec lol
Sadly I haven't tried the MP. I was going to get it instead of the Pro, but at the time they were back ordered for a few months. Not super interested in the MP so I probably won't review it unless someone gives me one for free lol.
Weird review. I played with Gravity Pro and now playing with Auxetic Speed Pro. Mine is a bit under spec in weight and 63 RA unstrung which is about 60 strung. Doesnt feel too flexy, return heavy balls very easy for me about the same as Gravity Pro. Both racquets have good feel, plow but Speed Pro suit me much better and comfort is top notch.
I wanna return my speed pro aux. its so muted even without dampener…i dont feel connected to the ball at all. Im coming from playing with blades and prince diablo
No one has done a 26 inch junior racket review....are they like the 27 inch rackets ? My son is 10 and we are looking at reviews for 26 inch rackets but no real good content...I was looking at 26 inch 2022 pure aero, head speed, boom , gravity, and ezone... just some idea for new original content
That’s a good point. At some point I do want to expand into junior content but I don’t think we are ready yet. I don’t think it matter that much because whatever you buy is going to shape your son’s game. I always recommend going based on endorsements. Anything that helps inspire kids to play is a good enough reason imo. Nothing made me want to play more than when I got Rafas paint job when I was a junior. For my own curiosity at a minimum I’d like to try weighting up a junior frame and comparing it to a standard racquet.
I’ve got to assume that the Babolat or Yonex 100s would be ideal. They seem higher quality than the Heads that I’ve seen too, but it’s been a while since I’ve looked at junior sticks
none of u after i watched the demo seem suit to review gravity pro because u both lacks the strength , tehnique to whip and plow with that racquet,so picking gravity pro as a better racquet makes me laugh knowing that u didnt test it as u should,no matter or not its the better racquet.I dont pretend to not be wrong but thats is my opinon based on 15 years of tenis and seeing ur move in the court with it didnt seem right at all.

@@TennCom interesting! Thanks for sharing 🙏
i think comparing speed pro and the gravity tour would be better because they are similar. gravity pro is too thin beam
Nice comparison of the racquets. Are you guys still planing on doing a video about mgr/i?
At some point. It’s tough for me to do those kind of videos because I want to make sure I get everything right.
@@TennCom According to other reviews the auxetic should be especially good with the Speed line and not so much with the Prestige line.
@@TennCom The Speed MP 2022 should be a tad more stiff (RA) than the pro
I’d love to know how you display those racquets back there
I got an Ikea Ivar shelving system. The silver base is a very long handle option from the Ikea Pax. There is a support bar which holds the handles up, which is an Ikea kitchen towel rack. The racquets are carefully balanced and have a tendency to come crashing down.
Thanks TennCom! How do the rackets compare in terms of topspin?
Both are similar. At lower levels, most will get more spin from the Speed because its light enough to accelerate quickly to access spin. At the high level, I think the Gravity will deliver more spin due to high swingweight and a more efficient energy return.
Please do a review of Radical MP, as I'm looking to upgrade into one!
new Radicals coming out by the end of 2022 so I probably wont review the current one.
Can we merge the two into one? lol
Apparently there will be a Gravity 98 in January which might be the ticket.
@@TennCom interesting! Hope to see the review when it comes out. keep up the good work!!
@@TennCom 🧐😯 that would be fantastic. Can't wait to see the specs.
Which one do you recommend for doubles player?
I would prefer the Gravity in doubles because you can take returns super early and I feel more confident volleying with it. Some may prefer the maneuverability of the Speed though.
Have you covered the volkl c10 pro at all? I'm interested in how it stacks up to these two on plowthrough & control
I would say that the Speed appears to have the more open 18x20
Really glad I did not get the Speed. Thank you for putting my mind to rest about that!
Yeah apparently the Auxetic Extremes are very very good so best to keep saving for a few more weeks hahaha
@@TennCom thanks for the heads up!
“I love my neighbor” haha don’t we all!
Great review
But I don’t know which is better for me and which model i should take (MP, Tour, Pro of gravity or speed)
What do you suggest me to get?
Speed MP. Small step towards control and you get really great sensations of spin from that racquet so you'll be able to feel if you are getting good topspin which should help you a lot.
Gravity probably has a higher sw than indicated, they're nearly all overspec in my exp
Between the two, which one would procure more spin ?
Speed Pro because you can get more racquet headspeed. If you can get really fast racquet head speed with the G Pro, then almost the same.
Does the previous speed have too much flex? Is the auxetic causing to much fkex
The previous Speed Pro had a lot of flex for me, but mostly in the upper hoop. Even though the old one had a good swingweight, it almost felt brittle in the upper third of the stringbed.
Can you do the comparison between the MP version of both?
Probably won't happen until new Gravity's come out in January. We just did the Gravity Pro because we had them on hand already.
@@TennCom I do need that feel too, sometimes I hit with a western grip (I use the SW grip)
Does the gpro offer much over the 97D? Despite me having a whippy stroke, have hit with the yonex but debating just blind buying the gpro if it does everything slightly better…assuming I get one on or below spec lol
The GPro should be on sale any day now (new ones coming in Q1 2023) so I would just pull the trigger on that when the price drops.
HVe you tried the speed mp? How does it compare to the extreme tour? Maybe it would be better to compare the speed mp with the new extreme auxetic.
Sadly I haven't tried the MP. I was going to get it instead of the Pro, but at the time they were back ordered for a few months. Not super interested in the MP so I probably won't review it unless someone gives me one for free lol.
@@TennCom surely you try MP just because it’s what farm-boy extraordinaire uses
Hilarious. Creative editing
Love the gravity pro.
What’s weird? Because we don’t have the same experience?
I wanna return my speed pro aux. its so muted even without dampener…i dont feel connected to the ball at all. Im coming from playing with blades and prince diablo
what strings have you tried?
Is the gravity pro worth the extra 69 bucks over the speed pro? Speed pro is on sale right now
If you just need something to use, then no. If you want to add a nice stick to your collection, then yes.
@TennCom yeah with the USTA head discount as well the speed pro for $150 seemed like a no brainer
the discount code doesn't work for me.
I’ll get this sorted out for you tomorrow
Good stuff!
Hey man! Which racket do you recommend to an aggressive baseliner, gravity tour or extreme tour?
I haven’t tried the Gravity Tour so I can’t say sadly
Extreme will be more powerful, but gravity tour will get everything done
Can weight at 3n9 fix speeds flexing
It’ll help, but then you lose a lost of the maneuverability of the Speed, which is a huge draw imo.
could you review the gravity tour?
Not until new ones come out
@@TennCom ow when are they coming out
Jan assuming production stays on traxk
@@TennCom Ow excited for auxetic gravity. Was thinking of getting speed pro, perhaps should wait till then.
Gravity is more stable with a 20mm beam when speedvpro has 23mm??,, 🤔
Maybe your Speed Pro was a bad specimen/copy? did you try others to see if it was just that one being like that?
speed pro 2022 vs gravity pro 2023?
the 2023 Gravity is almost the exact same so the opinions expressed in this video hold true even for the new version
Thanks!
Thanks Lucille!
need an infinite jest review next
4/1/23
They should bring Simons GF for the next review.
you may have unleashed a monster
Great clip...please tell your partner....tennis journey...?
@@TennCom we also want the best ...they are all near same price...my son just said he wants Moooo power
I’ve got to assume that the Babolat or Yonex 100s would be ideal. They seem higher quality than the Heads that I’ve seen too, but it’s been a while since I’ve looked at junior sticks
Awfully good yt channel. Thanks guys.
Gravity sucks.
Power but no control.
No stationary sweet spot.
Unstable.
Gravity pro sucks.
Power but no control.
No stability, big frame.
No stationary sweet spot.
Should be advertised for big 5 recreational players
Do you prefer the gamma big bubba?
none of u after i watched the demo seem suit to review gravity pro because u both lacks the strength , tehnique to whip and plow with that racquet,so picking gravity pro as a better racquet makes me laugh knowing that u didnt test it as u should,no matter or not its the better racquet.I dont pretend to not be wrong but thats is my opinon based on 15 years of tenis and seeing ur move in the court with it didnt seem right at all.
Well said sir
Simon, you ride motorcycles?
Not since I crashed my bike at the start of the pandemic 😥
@@TennCom oh no! Looks like you came out unscathed so that's good at least
