Bro it's really that good
I hate when I can’t play tennis because it’s raining
i live in puerto rico and oh man my whole day is ruined in minutes when it rains out of nowhere
Same here in Seattle
Hong Kong as well
Serbia also, for fucking 7 days straight!
I feel you... It's literally been raining on and off for 4 straight months now where I live. Either it's raining or it's so hot and humid I don't even want to go outdoors (and indoors in super expensive...)
Your assessment of the RF01 is spot on. When I'm loose and confident I'm ripping my shots but when I'm tight and tentative it feels like a piece of rebar in my hand. The more I play with it, the more I love it.
💯
Im the opposite, in matches that approach is never going to work out for me. I prefer a racket that helps me when im stiff and works spectacularly when Im loose and with great feel.
@@Jakub_G_TennisThat makes sense, but what is a racket that helps you when stiff?
@rbarreira2 well its pretty obvious probably but I use the new Aero 100, 300 grams. But I started palying 4 years ago and so that ease of use is appealong to me. I believe for long term players the rf 01 will be apealing in reverse way than my apprach is if you know what I mean
I really think Head needs to change the names of their rackets. Speed, Radical, Boom, don’t fit the character of those rackets. The names appear to be chosen as marketing buzz words with no consideration for what type of racket it actually is.
Absolutely love your channel. Great video as always. Looking forwards to pt. 2!!
I finally had a chance to hit with the RF yesterday and holy shit, you might have even undersold it, it's absolutely exquisite.
Radical MP 2023 in C Tier?, Seriously?, come on!!, in my tennis club 7 out 10 mid level players are chaging to it, and improving ther tennis levels
have you had any insights on the head gravity 98 tour ?
Highly anticipated especially for one handed back players!
The philosophy behind this tier list is very wired. I recently mainly play with RF 01 pro and Shift Pro. I spend 80% of time playing with the RF when I am playing casually. When I play a match which I WANT to win, I use my Shift 100%! I do not know why "indenty crisis" can be a bad thing for a racket, since you are not expecting to pick a different racket for each type of shots. RF is FUN to use when you are attacking relentlessly, but it is one of the worst rackets I have used while depending.
completely agree with your analysis
Prestige MP is surprisingly stable and forgiving. Underrated. Haven’t tried the Prestige Pro.
Prestige mp is definitely underrated
Great tier list, it’s a shame you don’t carry the Prostaff 6.1 95 it’s a very nice racquet much like the Dunlop. The 95 is a very classic racquet
agreed!
I would agree with the other poster about stocking your store with the 28 inch Solinco Blackout and Whiteout frames, for us in Canada!
Good stuff! Looking forward to part 2
Suggestion for the store. Extra length rackets like the Solinco Whiteout would be well received because they're a pain to order from the States.
Suggestion for Luca... Yonex, Precept, Regna are 3 separate companies from best information. What's up with that. Why not just one big happy family? Strange goings on over there lately. Can you give us a sense of Yonex's methodology for doing this, like besides more money??
Will you ever stock the solinco whiteout/blackout?
I have the shift pro, blade 98 16 by 19 and the pro staff 97. I really like the Shift it's one of the best rackets on clay court. So much Spin and the 18 by 20 string pattern isn't bad when you playing with it, because of the very cool technology...
I fully agree on the Prestige line needing to have updated the racket to something more akin to the Gravity. I'm waiting on that Gravity 98. Any news on when they will be sold to the public? If they make the current Gravity pro into a 98 and 16x19 or 16x20 I'd be all over it.
Pretty sure it will be next year. The images of that Gravity Tour 98 reveal a new paint job, meaning that more than likely it will be released in the next cycle/version which will be next year. Head tends to update their rackets every two years and the current Gravity was released in 2023. It seems like only the Tour will be released as a 98 and not the Pro, so you might be waiting a while for the 98 Pro, although you could easily customise the Tour up to the Pro’s specs.
Interesting and thanks for doing that
In my tennis bag at this moment keeping three racquets and love for different reasons all of them:
Yonex VCore 98
Head Extreme Pro
Wilson Shift 99
👌👌👌
for someone inbetween the percept 97 and the percept 100D, what would u say are reasons u would choose one over the other ?
I owned both and really enjoyed them. The 100D provided a very consistent ball flight and solid feel. I did feel like it had less spin potential and as strings got old balls kept sailing a tad. Also, I have a OHBH and the 97 felt better for that stroke. On flat serves both were similar, but on spin serves the increased maneuverability of 97 helped me a tad. Neither is great on defense, but I felt I had an easier time flipping up a deep topspin ball with 97. Again, both very solid but my game just meshed better with 97.
Everyone who's asking "why not this or that other racket" read the title: this is Part 1.
Agree more with this list than the previous list. I’d put Rad MP and PS X in tier B but otherwise I agree with everything.
I play with Pro Staff97 v13 and Boom Pro 2022. Planing to get a Percept 97 which seems to embody the control and feel of a PS97 with the spin and larger sweetspot of the BP.
Yeah the more I watch the more I may make the switch. The best racket I've ever played with was the Yonex Vcore Pro 97D/97H. Fantastic control rackets that are great for baseline or at the net. I've tried other rackets since looking for the same feel but at a lighter weight. This was the nail in the coffin, Percept 97 here I come.
the percept 97 with a little weight to get it to 315 ish grams is sooo goood
I add another tear to my list with every loss
lots of 98s that are super versatile....and radical is the most versatile of them all
but really uncomfortable, blade is better on all aspect
I think this has a heavy control attack style bias. After demoing the pro 01 i switched to it which is turning out to be a pretty big mistake. It has a lower swingweight and weight than my previous racquet so this isnt a question of can i handle it. But what ive found is that the raquet doesnt handle defending very well. A lot of shots that were neutralizing defensive shots now float a little more. You mentioned the getting tight portion being a problem but thats a lot more important than you made it out to be. If a raquet harms you when you get tight that costs matches. Your base level is more important then when you play perfectly. Even attacking like its point click which is nice i can hit my spots. But all my hitting partners mention my ball is weaker. And a lot of times you need a heavy ball to open up the court for control. Sure its easier to beat weaker players as you have full control but i think some of these other aspects are getting overlooked mostly things like power and forgiveness.
What about the pure strike 100 16/20, great blend of control, power and spin. Fantastic racquet for advanced club players
Percept 97 needs a lot of weight added and low string tension to have any power
Agree, i didn't like it... 100 plays better for me
Rf01 with leadtape = S tier!!
Bro I literally shifted yesterday and then saw the shift in d tier😤
TF40 305 18M is an amazing stick with an awful name. Change my mind.
Thinking about buying the Gravity MP. Tested it with Luxilon Adrenalin and really liked it! But i also feelt some Elbow Pain after hitting with it for 2 Hours. Didnt have that problems with other raquets. With so many people saying its so comfortable i am really confused.
I tested the Speed MP 2024 with same string and had less arm problems but the 330 SW really isn‘t for me in terms of manuverability.
Maybe i will just buy the Speed MP 2022 with its lower SW but i don’t have the possibility to test it.
Did anybody else had elbow issues from playing with the Gravity MP? Do you think it will be better with a softer Poly oder MLT?
The RF rackets are way too expensive at least here in Europe. I don't think they're the racket for me thankfully 😂
Welp, here goes my sleep time but worth it
You didn’t specify with the TF40 if they were 18/20 or 16/19?
just fell to my knees in the parking lot of Queens in New York City; Pro Staff X: "D"?! /s
How if RF01 almost like Radical made S and Radical itself in B and C tire?
Where does the Head Extreme Pro fit in on the chart ?
Percept 97 is goated
Where would you put the Percept 97D and why?
add the pure strike 100 please! Curious how it compares to the Speed mp and blade 100
I believe they don’t carry it unfortunately.
please include iga 298 tempo in the next list
In my opinion Pro staff 97 is the best🔥
@@hirodkianikhah7511 I play-tested the v14 and did not like itt. I much prefer my v13. I was also impressed with the blade 98. I'd like to play-test the blade 100 L next.
Why go from heavy 98-97 to 100L. It is a big change
Thanks for this list. Missing the Aero 98 (and the solinco white out). I would put them at least in A tier :). Shift 99 should go to B tier (just bought it). The latest PS97 disappointed a lot certainly compared to the RF97v13. I sold it so C for me. :) 😮
radical mp in C Tier hurts
radical mp 18x20?
Could you please include Wilson burn 100 or the other Dunlop lineups such as the sx300?
What's your opinion of Pure Strike 100, 16/20?
Can you add the blades pro here as well?
No head extreme tour?
what is your opinion on the Percept 100D? I like it so much would put it in my S series
Loooking at specs IT would land on same tier as speed pro
How you gonna stop in the middle of vcores??
TF40s should definitely move up
Why no v core 98? Or aero 98
any comment on the t fight 315 iso?
Prestige tour??
No Ezone 98 7th edition, one of the most popular racquets, why? Oh well, version 8 comes out next year and is supposed be a big change as opposed to just a cosmetic one.
I'm kinda shocked by your gradings of the Shift Pro and Pro Staff X as I play with both. Everyone I talk to seems to love them and they're very popular at my club
Worst take is saying that vibration dampeners do anything other than alter sound. Makes me think you're just throwing stuff to the wall
The poor Strike 16x20 always gets left out.
PURE STRIKE 16x20?!?!?!!
RF 01 Pro S? Really? And where's Ezone 98?! Blasphemy
Username doesn't check out
@@SaberShirou Brain doesn't check out
i am sure gravity pro on first place as with iga wining next final she reach it
Vcore 100?
or Technifibre TF40 305, and 315 (16x19s)
It’s not a control oriented frame that’s why it’s not there
