In this video the A604/41TE transmission is disassembled in Stratus, but it applies to other vehicles from 1989 to 2011 such as: Voyager, Neon, Avenger, Journey, Town Country, Cirrus, Eclipse, etc.
It scans and shows slip code, which can also be: P0730, P0731, P0732, P0733 and P0734, which is an internal transmission problem.
It is disassembled and the oil is observed, speed sensors, solenoid body and valves are removed, contamination is seen due to internal wear, the solenoid body is new because the client states that they suggested changing it, but the fault was not solved because The reality is that the transmission aged internally, in addition to the fact that antifreeze passed into the transmission through the cooling system.
The differential is removed using the tool suggested in the manual, the condition of the internal parts of the transmission is analyzed, the crankcase is removed, the lever to remove the valve body is placed in the park position, sediment is observed in the crankcase In addition, the crankcase is damaged by hitting the pavement. The position of the Overdrive, Underdrive and reverse accumulators is described.
The end play is measured and it is important to have the reference from disassembly because the input shaft must be in tolerance because the Teflon rings and the turbine must be in tolerance.
The pump is disassembled observing its condition, the application drum (Overdrive, underdrive and reverse) is removed, the friction washers, bearing and bushings are observed, the 2/4-Low/Reverse application and the different parts of the gear train.
The tool is used to press the 2/4 diaphragm and be able to remove its safety, the piston and the friction pastes and steel, the pressure plate is described and rust is observed in some of its parts, the Low/Low safety is removed. Reverse to remove the pressure plate is described and then another lock and finally the set of discs, observing the staggering of the steel discs, the lock code is described.
The gear cover and the output gear lock are removed and with the extractor removed in order to dismantle the Low/Reverse application, the bearing and the selective washer can be observed.
The parking pawl and the low reverse piston with their parts are disassembled using the tool.
The secondary gear is disassembled with the extractor using a locking pliers and the tool, the different parts such as the bearing, gear and the selective washer are observed. The cooling bypass valve is dismantled and its importance is mentioned.
The reverse application is disassembled, describing the locks and the pressure plate and discs, then the underdrive application, especially the wave lock, the underdrive application is disassembled, the characteristics of the locks and other parts are described. The input shaft and the vulcanized piston are removed using the tool, removing the safety and the tray. The rest of the drum is disassembled by removing a safety and with the tool it is pressed to remove the diaphragm and it is observed that it is broken. Finally, part of the cleaning process is presented.

Felicidades por tu trabajo, solo por estos videos me voy animar a reparar mi transmisión yo mismo siguiendo tus instrucciones.
Tengo una Town Country 2002 y perdió potencia en la reversa, la compré hace 3 años y desde que la compré va hacia una vibración entre las 2mil y 3mil revoluciones solo que no se en que velocidad.
@@allsneakersgdl4733 Hola, la idea de los videos es que sean educativos, y presento la mayor cantidad de detalles para quien quiera hacerlo este ahi la infrmacion, la sugerencia es observa todos los videos para que tengas un panorama completo del trabajo, te suguiero que pongas atencion al cuerpo de valvulas, pues la mayor de las veces todo queda bien armado, pero si no se revisa adecuadamente y en caso de esta mal cambiarlo se puede terminar pensando que la transmision no quedo y no se valora adecuadamente el cuerpo de valvulas, Te agadeceria que al final de tu trabajo nos dejes un comentario de que tanto te fue de ayuda la informacion, presentada y que te suscribas al canal es el mejor apoyo que nos puedes dar.
