It’s amazing how fast a tt01 can be, I race a tt01r in a modified series with carbon cars and it don’t do too bad, mine can go a lot faster if I practice a bit more. It’s all about the build, reduce the slop and get some good tyres and your 90% there. You should build and race one on your channel. You definitely have the skills on building and driving to take one to the top
TT01 is nice and my son recently won with it in a novice class. Our racers here are pretty good, TT01 has its limitations such as narrow width. But I did do well before with a TL01 against high end graphite cars :D
I have subscribed to your wonderful channel. I'm from Malaysia. I am a huge Tamiya fan since 24yo. I'm 44 this year 😊 n I enjoy the hobby with my 2 sons. Your content is very good. I can feel a very high wealth of knowledge captured in all of your video. Your r a great dad n your daughter is lucky to have u as her dad. I pray God will bless you n give u lots of energy to create more videos. God bless u always my friend 🙏🏻
TT02 diff is a direct swap. For the spur, I have not done it. But my friend has managed a TT02 spur shaft with TT02 spur gear adaptor plus lots of shims and put it into his TT01. That was a long time ago, not sure how it is done.
@ thank you po sa answers. I’m planning to buy po kasi ng TT01 2ndhand and nag dadalawang isip po ako kasi puro parts lang ng TT02 yung nasa shopee and lazada
the front diff has clicking sound, and it looks it is super tight, what kind of diff is that, is he also using stock plastic servo horn too ? if so he has amasing driving skills, it will have slight delay of input , so you have to set the car up before getting into the corners ~ thanks for the great video
How do you lower the 01e? I’m using Yeah Racing 50mm suspended, mounting to outer holes in the front and inner holes at the back. I’ve also got the car set up using the scales for balance at each corner….so really unsure as to why my ride hits is so high. Ideally I want to drop to like a 3-5mm ride height…but completely lost as to how it’s sitting so high and how I can lower it 🤔🤔🤔🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️ Think is I rebuilt my car from the last season so I know I haven’t changed anything set-up wise (I write stuff down in a small note book so I never forget my setups - only in my 3rd year of club racing lol

Nice! I have a few of these chassis
Ive been thinking of getting a tt01? Have you owned a tt02?
Im back and fourth on witch to get.
@@rcaddictgarage I have a few both..Brushless of course lol
What is needed to use TT02 gears in the TT01? Cheers.

Front diff is filled with chewing gum :)
@@rccartips no wonder it go so fast, besides your self made traction compound, you now invented new gear diff grease (also chewable) as well 😉
@@ericyu650 My friend from Indonesia shared to us the chewing gum setup :D
@@rccartips Hi, is that dry or chewed gum???? Thanks
Amazing tips 😂😂😂😂.. does that chewing gum trick work on rally? I just finish converting my tt01 for rally...
It should, use less so diff is not tight.
@@rccartips nice... Thanks for reply...
Halo to my friend vincent,i also from indonesia tt 01 driver✌
What do you run in the rear diff please
1M diff oil spread on the gears.
@@rccartips Doesn't it leak?
1M is sticky and thick, leakage minimal as I only brush it on the teeth and not fill the diff.
What motor and ESC did he use?
Can't recall. Usually Hobbywing brand.
What flavor gum?
Peppermint :)

How long are your springs? We are using 20mm long only.
Unscrew the stoppers from the bottom of the shocks and get a sharp knife. Carefully trim them down. This will aid the car in sitting lower.
what tires are you running?
Usually Rush36
@rccartips Thank you for taking the time brother it's my 1st TT02 would that be the, rush 36x?
So the front diff is basically locked? In what way does it affect driving?
More traction during cornering, more acceleration on exit, more stable and consistent to drive.
@@rccartips Any downsides?
If track grip is low a locked front will tend to understeer more on corner entry.
How do you lock the front diff? How?
Saan track to sir?
STR Raceway, sarado na.
What motor did he have
21.5T blinky. I believe surpass v5r.
@@rccartips 21.5t? 🤣🤣👎
Mod is the way to go
@@adtjtjdjsj We also race mod with 5.5T. But the TT01 will struggle with faster motors and speed :D
@@adtjtjdjsj a properly setup & geared 21.5T on a small track like str will be waaay more fun to drive than a 5.5T .
@@rccartips I will be building a tt01 with this same motor and gears. Do you know what he set the motor timing at?
I think its still to slow , put a 3 turn or a 3.5 turn motor in it 😬😈 Than its drive normal 😎🤓🧐👌
was he serious when he sad that the front diff is filled with chewing gum??
Yes. I do it to.
@@rccartips 😲seriusly? Do you chew the gum and just put it inside the diff??
No, just take it from the wrapper and insert to the diff dry.
@@rccartips Lets see a photo of this please
@@rccartips will it perform consistently? Is it legal on Tamiya rules?
