Hey guys! A lot of people are asking for clarification about connecting the mpk mini to the po33 to "control the FX using the knobs" and... there is no such thing aha! the mpk is controlling some FX on my computer (not shown in video) via ableton live. There are NO ways to connect the mpk to the po.

I just finished making a great beat on one I ended up recording it into the tascam and put compression and eq on it also I recorded it on two tracks and panned one mostly left and one mostly right mixed it and mastered it the difference a little bit of compression makes is crazy....nice beat by the way
word... the po33, or anything for that matter, sounds huge with some compression on.

Hey man ! Nice beat as always ! I'm curious about something tho, do you adapt the BPM of the melody sample or do you simply manage to make the slices works with your bpm ? Your work is awesome ! And the editing as well
it's all sliced up and rearranged! so the BPM plays a role but it's mitigated by the fact that I can play single slices!

AW YEAH. I WOULD ARGUE THAT IT'S THE PO33'S BEST WEAPON. IT'S A 16 STEP WITH PARAMETER LOCK, FX RECORDING, PATTERN CHAINING, SWING ETC... IT'S GREAT!

LET ME CLARIFY, THE POs DON'T SEQUENCE EXTERNAL GEAR. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN INTERNAL SEQUENCER FOR THEIR OWN SOUNDS. THE WAY I LIKE TO USE THEM WITH THE SP404 IS LAY DOWN SOME DRUMS ON THE PO INTERNAL SEQ AND THEN HAVE THEM CUT AND LOOPED PERFECTLY IN THE SP. THEN I USUALY ADD SAMPLES ON TOP.

it really depends on the length of the sample and how it's been used! It's in the TH-cam ID detection algorithm. It'd be different if I was releasing the song commercially on music platforms, which I'm not ofc
But you'd be surprised how many releases have even recognizable samples that don't get cleared.

this video is really misleading. too many people are understandably assuming that its the PO and MPK doing all this on their own.
oh yes, I can see how it'd be confusing for people who maybe watched only the final performance - in fact, it was! I did mention in the video that the MPK is connected to Ableton and the mpk+ableton combo rivals anything that the sp404 could offer. anyway, I still had plenty of comments about it, so I clarified it in the post pinned at the top! hope it helps

Mpk as good or better than the sp404 ?!!?? You’re delusional my friend.
that's not at all what I said, and that statement doesn't even make sense: the 404 is a sampler and FX unit. the mpk is a midi controller with no sounds or FX on its own. what I said is that ABLETON controlled by the mpk is as good or, actually, more powerful and flexible than a 404. which is just a factuality.
